    USB function is on "overload"

DO NOT GO HERE! I REPEAT. DO NOT GO HERE! This lady does not deserve anyone's business. I'll try to be clear and concise but it's hard to put into words what I experienced. I drive an '04 Honda CRV and was looking to upgrade from the factory stereo so I looked up a few local places to get quotes. Got a few quotes and also researched products at Best Buy. Obviously mom and pop shops have difficulty competing with a big corporation so I opted to go with a small business even though it would cost me more. I read the reviews on this place and was hesitant after learning that just picking up a package here was unpleasant. I gave them the benefit of the doubt and called them up. A lady answered and she sounded nice enough so I headed over. Once at the shop we discussed what I was looking for and she listed a few products as well as pricing. I then showed her what it would cost me at Best Buy with installation included. She said she couldn't compete and I acknowledged that fact but still asked how close she could get to that price. She said $186. And that was for a unit without Bluetooth. Best Buy price for a unit with Bluetooth and installation ran about $135. Call me an idiot and you'd be right. I should've said no thank you and walked away at that point. I didn't and agreed on an older Pioneer unit without Bluetooth capability. Flash forward to a couple weeks later when I found out the USB port wouldn't even work with my phone (I have an IPhone). I went back to the shop and I told her it wasn't working so she said drop off the car so the technician would look at it. I did and when I came back all she said was for me to download some Pioneer app that would enable USB functionality. I said okay and went home and downloaded the app. Guess what? Didn't work. Went back again and asked her what she could do for me? I asked to swap out the unit with another at no extra charge. She wouldn't budge and even said I was trying to take advantage of her. The gall on this woman after charging me $186 for an old and dusty Pioneer unit. We got into a bit of a shouting match and I knew she wasn't gonna give in so I caved and agreed to swap out for an old Sony "display" model for an extra $40. The technician literally took it off the display wall. I was out $226 at that point and just said install it and get me the heck outta here. I thought I was done at that point. Nope. The USB function on the Sony unit I left with is now malfunctioning (see pic). Against my instinct, I went back to the shop one final time hoping she'd sympathize and make this right. I was wrong. Dead wrong. When I got there I explained what was wrong and she said pull the car up so the technician could look at it. I refused and offered to return the unit and be refunded just half of my money, just half. She said no and told me to call Sony. I replied that I didn't buy it from Sony, I purchased it from her. She then slammed her office door in my face and proceeded to call the police which I thought was laughable. I gave up and then left (not in a police cruiser) and that was that. In conclusion, do your research and make your own decision. All I can do here is tell you my experience. I'm not some random a**hole just looking to slander this business. I went in there with good intentions and got screwed for it. I think the worst part wasn't even the money. It was the fact she didn't even show sympathy. Not one sorry. She's probably been doing it for way too long and is burned out. I don't know. Gotta cut my losses and move on. If you do decide to come here I'd like to reference an older review about this place: check your pocket for your wallet when you walk out.

I received numerous quotes and Dan from Deluxe Tint Coat was the first one to reply. To my surprise he also had the best price out of all of them and was super close by. I set up an appt with him easily and chose the option I wanted. He explained my choices and I signed off on the work. The next part I did not expect since I was driven back home in a self driving Tesla and thought he just wanted me to check out his car. I called him and he said no it's a loaner while I work on your vehicle, which was cool although I had anxiety about having someone else's vehicle and only kept it at home lol. After about 30min of being at home I had regretted my choice of getting only 70 in the front so I called Dan and luckily he had not started and was able to make it darker. It took about 3hrs since there was plenty of small windows to work on. Anyway I'm glad that my new car is now tinted and Dan made it such a smooth, pleasant experience. I would highly recommend to anyone!!

By far one of the best installers for those located in the East Bay. I had my window tint done here initially and was so impressed with the results I choose to have my PPF done here knowing the end result will be quality. As someone who is very meticulous with details, these are people that share that mindset and will take great care of your car. Would gladly come back for their services as a repeat customer.

I was shown the tint options, but there wasn't really an explanation of the differences, and no one looked at my vehicle or walked me through what would work best. It felt rushed and like I was inconveniencing them. It felt like I had to do most of the work just to communicate basic information, and that concerns were somewhat dismissed, which felt uneasy when getting a service done. I was given a rough time for when my car would be ready when I asked, but there wasn't clear communication about how I'd be notified until I asked. The worker didn't even have my phone number on file until I brought it up, so if I hadn't asked, I'm not sure how they were expecting to contact me. I ended up calling to check on my car since I hadn't seen any activity, and that's when the owner, Lux who picked up mentioned there were delays since this morning with other vehicles. I completely understand that tinting can be a time-consuming, detail-oriented process and delays can happen, but it would have been appreciated to have clear and respectful communication from the beginning when I arrived especially for an expensive service. After my call, the owner, Lux was very attentive and made sure to follow up when my vehicle was ready, and the tint worker also reached out. Upon pickup, the worker also made a somewhat weird comment regarding timing, which added to the overall uncomfortable experience.Overall, maybe I just had a bad experience with the service worker, and I'm hoping the tint itself turns out fine, but nothing was really explained in terms of information included with my tint install, which felt pretty disappointing for the price and type of service. Overall, the experience felt inconsistent and left me feeling uneasy. A more apologetic and attentive professional approach would have made a big difference. Based on my experience, I would be hesitant to recommend them to others.

The work is immaculate, the worker(s) were clean, efficient and very helpful to any questions and answers I wanted. It is pricey, but to be frank, you get what you pay for. And that is excellent work, and I would highly recommend them. I know any problems I do have, they would fix but there is none yet. 100% worth it, and my go to for auto glass Now.

Do yourself a favor, stay away from this "bait & switch" business…read more Website offers 1 packages, Silver & Gold. Chose Gold (highest option available assuming thats the best quality) and before making a payment, thought it be better to pay after the Tinting service is done, so called their 888 number, booked an appt. Same same packages were offered, but this time, $200 extra charge because "my car" is not in their system (how convenient). Said, no thanks and hung up. 10 mins later the same person calls me back and says, we found your car (it was a computer glitch) and now there is no extra charge, just the $399 for the top of the line package. Reconfirmed that it was best heat rejection, ceramic tint, includes front windshield. Answer was Yes for all. I show up at my appt time expecting to give the car keys and leave (all info was already entered on the phone) but I was escorted into an office and told that the package I have is the cheapest quality and I should upgrade to the next 2 levels (Diamond & Platinum), neither were offered on the website or on the phone. I was ready to get up and leave, when the "owner/manager" was brought in. He listened to the story again and said "OK, I will take care of it and honor the price". Didn't stop there, when I asked to update the website to make it more transparent pricing, he said "Website is under construction", then goes on to blame the callcenter agent saying he will investigate, then blames sales guys that they didn't do their job. While all this is going on, another customer waiting in the lobby over hears our conversation, opens the door and is mad that he is honoring the price for me when he was scammed the same way (quoted $280 one the phone and charged $600, after negotiation, in the store). The owner leaves me in the room and talks to the other customer and honors him his original quoted price. While that conversation is happening, another customer walks in.....same story. You get my drift. The 3rd customer also had a quality issue with a huge stain on the ceiling of her car and was demanding that it be fixed right away. Needless to say, there were enough signs to run and save me more hassle. I would recommend the same to all of you. Save your time, money, car and peace of mind. Just go to the next honest Tinting business down the road. Just in case the owner retaliates to this post, I have proof of the appointment, screenshots of the website as of this post, to show that I was indeed there, but didn't choose to take their services after enough signs telling me to stay away.
