My driver's seat started to come apart at the seams (I found out from one of the shops I got an estimate that this is body oils/lotions+vinyl+sun causing the vinyl to harden - so if you use oils/lotions you should be wiping down seats regularly - who knew!). Anyway, after going to three shops I landed at AAUG. I got the initial estimate (after they also checked with the dealer for the cover price, which were very expensive and one was back-ordered - so we went with custom), slept on it and decided to go for it. I brought my car back so we could choose the fabric - we got VERY close to the original, not identical. They were SOO stinking nice, they both felt like old friends. I brought my car in first thing on a Friday morning and picked it up Saturday afternoon. It looks absolutely FANTASTIC! I still don't know how he did it in a day! Sunroof broken by unknown perps two days before thanksgiving and rain storm. Looked for several repair options which were limited due to this being a special problem, sliding sunroof. American was recommended, went by the shop to plan for repairs, i.e. when and how long for replacement. All I can say is don't let the look of the building and detour you. Joe, knows his stuff. Last of the true professionals. It's a skill and a trade he is an artist in his own right. Once the glass arrived, I took the car to him at 12:00 noon. It was done by 2:00pm. I'm not a big Yelper, but Joe was incredibly kind and helpful and didn't charge me for a diagnostic taking about an hour's worth of work. I called, described my problem and Joe said to bring the car by for a look. My power window had gotten stuck and Joe offered to open up the car door on the spot to source the problem. This takes a fair amount of time and effort to do, so I was pleased to get it addressed immediately. An hour later I came back and he had diagnosed the issue and gave me a quote to repair the faulty part. I needed a custom redesign of my bucket car seat. The contour rise on each side of the seat were causing considerable difficulty to my right leg. I've had leg surgery that left me with metal hardware along the right side of the leg and the design of the seat pushed directly against that hardware. The pain was limiting my ability to drive. Toyota recommended Mr. Joe Abraham. When I spoke to him he said this was something he could fix. He said he could do the redesign and keep my original leather upholstery. I was very skeptical. I expected the seat to require new leather and the new design would make it look so much different from the passenger seat. I was dreading having to do this to my car. But I've just got back from picking up my car and I'm beyond excited. The seat has the same leather and no one would ever suspect that the seat has been changed at all. The best part was driving the 25 miles back home. That raised contour is completing gone. I got home with no pain at all. He did this in one day and his price was so much better than I expected. I had the convertible top for my Mustang replaced after someone slashed the top (in my own damn garage). When I called, the owner originally said he could start working on it that day, but later when I showed up he said he couldn't get to it until tomorrow and that I could pick it up by noon the day after tomorrow. Eh, that's fine. I thought I'd only have to replace the actual top, but found out later that the headliner (what they call the material between the top and the inside) also needed to be replaced. This cost about $425 more than the original quote for the top only. I give this place 4 stars because they did have it done by the time they said they would, and also because the price was a fair amount cheaper than their competitor (California Covers), which I also called. The workmanship was nice as well. Our 2007 Murano had the infamous broken drivers seat frame issue that Nissan refuses to address. The dealer said I had to change the frame and they wanted close to $700 to replace it. After Yelping for some alternatives to the dealer, I found this place. I brought the car in and they were able to fix it at a fraction of the price, saving me hundreds. While I was there I saw them working on some cool classics (a Bel Air, a Catalina, and some others I couldn't identify) -- wish I had one of these cars. I called five places for an estimate to replace the saggy ceiling fabric on my 2002 Dodge Dakota. This estimate was second lowest, straight-forward and I didn't have to send a picture. I didn't have the $ or time till a few months later. One other place, already $200 higher, raised the estimate another $200 during that time.
