Do not buy an AT&T device from Best Buy. Multiple issues with the device and service. They changed my plan without consent - the AT&T corporate store couldn't help me. I've had to call and escalate several times over. Spent hours of my time. We purchased a $3k TV. Used the store credit card ( no interest)via Citibank. After about 6 months, my husband goes online to pay the monthly bill and notices two $200 gift card charges. We called the 800# the person said that it was fraud. They closed the account sent us another card for new account. By the time we activated it there was another charge and we haven't even activated the card. Called them back. We felt like it was internal for it to happen that fast. About 6 weeks later, we receive a letter in the mail stating. "No it's not fraud and we are responsible." Found out that the gift cards are on our account with "Ready to redeem " we don't want to redeem them, we want them taken off our account because we did not purchase them. Many more calls to Best Buy security division and Citi bank fraud department. Filed a police report. Still have the $600 gift cards on our account now there's interest. Knowledgeable, patient staff that helped me pick Out and buy a laptop. Only snafu was the recommendation to buy Microsoft office for the Chromebook. Had to call Microsoft support to verify it can't be loaded. On a Chromebook, you have to use the web version of MS. Best Buy Customer Service staff graciously accepted the return for the MS subscription. I also bought an Oura ring and the sales guy was knowledgeable about the product. read more

The following was my experience at Best Buy purchase on 4/5/2025: 1. The store was supposed to open at 10 am. I reached the car park at 9.45 am and waited but the gates were opened at 10.05 am 2. The staff including the store manager lacked courtesy. This word did not exist in their dictionary. 3. I am a handicapped 73 years old man. I requested a motorized chair to browse their gigantic store. The store manager said they don't have it. On inquiring the reason she said "this is optional. We are not mandated to have it". She pointed out to a manual wheelchair that was very shoddy and I was not able to operate it. There were at least four customer service agents observing me scrambling with the wheelchair but none of them offered help. 4. I had no other option and I showed the item that I was looking for on my cell phone and a person brought it and took me to the register. This individual on the register again had no courtesy. He looked extremely tired and kept yawning while serving me. I asked him whether or not he had his morning coffee? "I don't drink coffee" Then you probably did not have enough sleep. No apologies on his behalf. My overall experience was extremely disappointing. I expected that at least store manager will show some courtesy. 4/8/2025 8.36 pm update The BestBuy has not contacted me regarding the above incidence. I would like them to contact me immediately. We have purchased many things from Best Buy and decided to buy a Breville microwave. We had it less than a month and decided it was not cooking thoroughly or heating evenly. We called Best Buy to maybe return it and buy another brand. They said it only had a 15 day warranty. 15 days?????? For an appliance? Who gives a15 day warranty? I purchased an open-box TV that was only available at this location. Its condition was clearly listed as "excellent" as well as guaranteeing all original parts and accessories. Seemed a pretty decent deal with the savings. I picked it up the next morning (I am 30 miles from the store) and unpackaged it when I got home. There was no remote, no stand, no power cord, and no manual. No damage, but still completely unusable and not even close to the description. I called customer support right away. They said come back to the store to pick up the accessories. They specifically said not to return the TV. When I arrived at the store they had no idea what to do. After waiting on the representative walking all the way across the store and back several times, I was informed they did not have any parts. The only option was a return. I was very firm that I would not be bringing the item back at risk of damaging it during repackaging and transport (it was a 65" and not manageable by one person). They scheduled a return and delivery at the same time with a new model that wouldn't arrive for another 5 days, meaning I got to hold on to this massive box with an unusable TV until then. The worst of it all was that the replacement was a new model, and even after all of their screw-ups, they still made me pay the difference of $5 after their "discount" for my troubles. Overall, the staff was not knowledgeable at all about their own inventory or customer service capabilities. I had to suggest every solution as they were so clueless they couldn't come up with their own. Customer service and the stores do not communicate with each other at all, which resulted in me spending an additional hour and 60 miles of driving because I was given false information. I've had enough good experiences with most Best Buys to move past this, but were it not for the fact that I ended up with a brand new TV as a result, I would give 1 star. This store is a joke and I will never utilize this location again. read more

The radio goes out not even six months ago. zi drive over an hour yo appointment to see why radio is not working. They diagnose and said radio bad. They wont swap out or cover a replacement. This Best Buy is okay, but it is very lacking in the camera department. I went there looking at video cameras and DSLR cameras, but there was not much to look at. Usually, Best Buy has several rows of cameras but not this store. It's all phones and cell phone service in the front so you have to wade through all that to get to the other electronics. The entire left side of the store is house appliances which doesn't surprise me, but it looks like they are becoming more of what Sears used to be. Also, there is a very limited selection of DVDs and NO Cd's anymore (that last part I totally understand). Anyway, the whole Best Buy experience is gearing more towards home appliances and gaming supplies. read more

Yelp review 2017 challenge #4 Today was a good day at Best Buy. Usually it's virtually impossible to find any type of assistance regarding buying anything here. I think my luck finding help is related to not browsing the computer/electronic section of the store. We are officially dumping AT&T and moving back to an antenna based service. It's in our price range, FREE! Our bill with the new year came it at 200$ plus! WTH? Price gouging from big companies! I bought an antenna that picks up local channels and then some. An antenna at a one time price of 70$. What a deal! Was so pleased to have an antenna that has the ability to find local channels and broadcast them. The young man that helped me was awesome. I thought any hope of customer service was lost eons ago! I now have restored faith in Best Buy. Well at least for today. They have bins of blu-ray dvds at the check out. No cashiers for check out. Accidents do happen, it's how we recover from them is what makes a difference. So my iPhone recently fell out of my jacket pocket at the supermarket. The fall was from a height of 2 ft and with a phone case on but still damaged the display. That's how I up at the BB in Allen for a repair appointment with the geek squad. My initial visit was with a geek squad tech who was a bit hesitant to set up the appointment since we are supposed to do it through Apple Support. However, I was informed that Apple cannot make any appointments atm for BB due to the Covid19 conditions. Long story short, got an appointment and had my iPhone screen replaced the very same day within 2 hrs! Couldn't be happier. The service was excellent and I ended up purchasing a new case for my phone. Would recommend this BB any day especially for repairs. read more

Hello. I had a ~8k purchase with your in home tech Ethan a few months ago and today was the install day. Ethan sold me a 3k amplifier that won't work with my set up. I purposely purchased these products way in advance as I am well aware of the current delay for electronics. The install team was great and they sent me to the Allen branch which is 45 mins away and I pass three Best Buy's. When I got here the gentleman in electronics told be "good luck" and I could try the Frisco location but he can't tell me if they have what I need. Well Frisco is my home store. I asked for a manager and he directed me to the geek squad counter. Geek squad got me with the manager Andrea who actually took some time to listen to my situation and said she would go work on it. This here was enough to at least make me feel like someone cared. Well Andrea found one in garland and they're grabbing it for me!! I love Best Buy. I've done 30k+ business with y'all in the last three to four years. And had it not been for Andrea I was walking out more then defeated, frankly pissed off. Andrea needs recognition, promotion and a major Atta boy. I hope this makes it way up the ladder and she gets the recognition she very well deserves. This is an average Best Buy but without all of the bullshitery you might find at other locations. Parking was a bit of a drag, but that's expected given that we went a few days before Christmas. Inside, we couldn't find the gaming section but within seconds an associate walked us over to it (indeed there was no signage). Their selection was decent and we were even able to try on a few of their gaming headphones before making a purchase since they had a few on display. Checkout was okay. Even though there was a bit of a line, the cashier didn't try to waste my time sales pitching me to join their rewards program or get some extended warranty crap. read more

What can you say about BestBuy that's not already known to most. They have a wide variety of any and everything from computers, televisions, phones, washers -dryers, refrigerators, music, batteries, you name it they have it. This location is always fairly empty, prices compare to its local competitors, staff and customer service is a hit or miss. I recently went in to order an item I was unable to order online since I waned a price match and it's required to go into the store to get this done...well upon ordering the item, they were not able to price match cause the "system" didn't allow them to. So now I have to go back within 14 days to get it done cause maybe the system was just acting up at the moment. The manager was called to help, and when he was told about said issue, he brushed it off, mumbled a few words and just walked off. Hoping they honor the price match! I will say I purchased each TV I own, my washer and dryer and fridge are all from BB 14 yrs ago and they are all working to this day. read more

Horrible experience after spending $8,000.00 on 2 TVs, a refrigerator, and 2 mesh wi-fi systems at this store. Geek squad missed the delivery for the mesh system installation after I blocked off 8 hours to wait on them. I understand things get missed but I wanted some explanation after waiting 2 weeks and skipping work for the day. I expected a softer, professional response from Best Buy who is the one made the mistake. I got the worst customer experience from agent Wheeler who would not explain why the delivery was missed. He was short and disrespectful on the phone. When I asked what happened and why the delivery was missed, he abruptly said, "look, I can either just reschedule the delivery or cancel your order, what do you want me to do?" I asked to be transferred to a manger who could help answer my questions and then he hung up on me. So I'll be returning all of my recent purchases and will be giving another store my money. My experiences at this location have been limited to a few purchases over the last few years, my most recent being a mobile phone, so my review will be based heavily on that. I came in the store during the last week of the year with my eye on a new Droid Turbo that had just gone on sale for $1. There were at least five people in front of me in the phone area, but they provide seating (nice). When it came my turn, I was called by a young and very pleasant CSR who clearly knew how to perform these transactions. I had my phone in hand within 10 minutes (probably closer to 5), and I walked out with it and a receipt for $1.08 (stupid sales tax). On prior visits, I've purchased CDs and some video game accessories, and the process has always went quickly and smoothly. I have had at least once case where the "small store" syndrome affected me and I had to go to another location, but that's rare. Overall, it's a good location based on my experiences. read more

I can not tell you how extremely pissed off right now at Worst Buy. I've had trouble with them before but this time I'm putting it down on Yelp! I ordered a dishwasher from them with the required installation kit. With any appliance over $399 they will deliver for free. Then it goes to state what is included. Haul-a-way of your used item and basic installation. Nope! Big fraud. The delivery was done by a delivery company. Not by Best Buy. No installation. The just dropped off a big box in my kitchen and left. I called customer service and spoke to Cheryl. She was nice enough but kept reading all the parts about purchasing installation. I told her to have them come pick it up and take it back now and refund my money. She stalled and said she couldn't do it until after 5pm. Probably when her shift is over. I though I was at a quality store, and purchasing a quality product when I tool the sales person's suggestion to buy an Epson high end laser printer, and paid nearly $600.00 When I attempted to set the printer up, I could not even get past selecting the correct language. It simply would not work. Then I spend calling Best Buy talking to three different people, taking up over 45 minutes. I then ended up with a so called agent of the Geek Squad who could have carred less about solving my issue. He was will ibg to schedule a tech to come to my house a week from this day, and the charge would be at least $89.00 plus. When I express the fact I could not be with out a printer for a another ten daysit didn't matter to him. When I said if I couldn't wait and would return the printer for full credit, He said no worry and transfered me to the returns dept ( I guess ) While waiting I was cut off the phone, and had to call and start my conversation from scratch again. When I got connected again, their attitude was it's okay just return it to get your $573.00 credit 5 days later to your card. They could have cared lass about losing a $573.00 sale. I had an unfortunate incident at Best Buy that caused me some grief. I purchased an item online that was defective. I decided to return in to the establishment for an exchange. Upon arriving to the store, the boxed item was labeled (yellow tag for returns) and I proceeded to the Customer Service. The gentleman at the Customer Service was able to repair the item and I decided not to return it. On my way out Asset Protection stops me and states the following, "Let me look into your box to makes sure There Is Nothing Else In There". Very poor choice of words if you ask me. Although I understand the objective is loss prevention, I felt discriminated against due to his verbiage. As I drove home the incident kept replaying in my head and I wonder if I should have confronted the matter there and then. Nonetheless, I choose to address the matter later by phoning into the establishment and speaking to a Manager. After waiting 37 minutes to get through to a live person, George (manager) only made matters worst. As I shared with him my experience he showed absolutely no compassion. He even corrected me by saying, "we do not have security agents, they are asset protection". As if by me using the wrong terminology justified their action. He defended his employee and told me I have the right to feel discriminated against if I wish. That is my choice. I asked for his first and last name so I can contact Corporate Office and he said I don't need his last name. What troubled me was not is response cause I can definitely see reason why he wouldn't want to share that info, but is the way in which he said it. No attempt was made to neutralize the matter and I was encouraged to call Corporate. I believe better training needs to be shared amongst the staff and managers. With online shopping having such a strong presence in the consumer market, staff agents must make a greater effort to provide great customer service. I will indeed contact Corporate Office and make my claim. I will keep yelp reviewers posted of the final outcome. read more

I arrived on 9/25 an hour early to my install appointment to drop off my car. I get a call a few hours later and was told they are backed up and won't even be able to touch my car, and instead of saying they are pushing back install to the next day, I was told I have to re-schedule and they are another month out for bookings AND I CANT GET MY RADIO INSTALLED UNTIL 10/19.
