I had recently decided I wanted to buy a new phone outright instead of financing it through a carrier. I wasn't really interested in going to a traditional phone store because I've always felt like those experiences can be a little overwhelming. I wanted something simple with no pressure. I came to Best Buy right when they opened and ended up buying my new iPhone. Since the AT&T representative wasn't there yet, one of the Best Buy employees stepped in and helped me get everything set up. He activated my AT&T service, answered my questions, and had me in and out in about 30 minutes. The whole process was straightforward, and I never felt like I was being hit with hidden fees or pressured into buying extras. A little later, I came back looking for a new pair of headphones. I had a budget in mind but wasn't sure what to get. One of the employees took the time to talk through a few different options with me, and we actually had a fun conversation about the pros and cons of each pair. I never felt like he was trying to sell me the most expensive option. Instead, he recommended headphones that customers seemed happiest with and that didn't get returned often. I really appreciated that honesty. Overall, every employee I've interacted with has been friendly, knowledgeable, and genuinely helpful. I also realized Best Buy isn't nearly as expensive as I had built it up to be in my head. They have a lot of great options at different price points, and it's definitely a store I'll be visiting more often now.

As I was checking in and explaining the problem (and expecting to pay for it and leaving my PC there overnight), a technician overhead my explanation and came out and knew the solution. He plugged in my PC and had the problem fixed within 30 seconds. He said, "An update from HP has caused a problem." No charge. I was out of the store in less than 15 minutes with my fixed PC. The technician could have stayed in the back in his work area, but knew it was a quick fix and he made me one happy customer!

It is true though that more often than not, you'll get a faulty unit but they have a 1 year warranty where any repairs done on it, they'll cover so just need to make sure you find the issue as quick as possible I guess.

ALL checkouts were closed with a sign saying to go to customer service - where I waited for 10 minutes before the a customer walked away, clearly agitated with the single person working. Five other staff chatted and talked, and watched me. Eventually the red haired young woman at the counter waved me over as though I was a nuisance. I asked why all their cash registers were closed requiring me to line up in customer service. She rolled her eyes, scoffed, and told me they do it there now. She was so rude I asked her "You don't give a shit do you?" She scoffed again, shook her head, and mouthed "nope". When I declined to give my customer number because I would not he buying from them again, she asked why. When I pointed out she'd just agreed she didn't give a shit she grinned - and said I'd put words in her mouth. This place appears to deserve the slow death its dying. I'll stick with Amazon.
