Wasted my time after I took off from work to deal with the washer issue. Tech Sam asked for my Wifi details as soon as arrived I assume to look up diagnosis. He was rude, I called dispatch and cancelled the service. I mentioned I would be happy to pay for the diagnosis and just get a different company for the fix, needless to say the tech said he had no idea what was going on with the washer and left a pool of water after attempting to run the washer for the diagnosis. I do not recommend. Dispatch was attentive and apologized, they may need a different tech. read more

They buy cheap parts on Amazon for $30 and then charge customers $300 for the same repair. Extremely overpriced for the quality of work and materials used. I later found out the replacement parts were low-quality generic items anyone could order online for a fraction of the price. The communication was poor, the transparency was nonexistent, and the whole experience felt dishonest. If you're going to charge premium prices, at least use premium parts and provide professional service. I would not recommend this company to anyone looking for fair pricing or trustworthy repairs. Wonderful Company My washer stopped working 2 days before Christmas and I just knew I would need to replace my 10+ year washer. A friend suggested I search Yelp and I found Smart Way Appliance Repair with great reviews. Their website is wonderful listing an amazing service fee of $65, for a washer, to analyze the problem. I figured what did I have to loose! I made a call on Saturday after Christmas expecting to leave a voicemail. To my surprise sweet Olga answered the phone and I set upset up an appointment for the following Monday. I was given a window of 11 am - 1 pm with a call when the service rep was on his way. At approximately 12:30 pm I received a call advising the rep would not arrive until 1:30 pm. Then I received a text with the update and a photo of Alex, the service rep. At 1:20 pm Alex was at my door with a smile and apologizing for the delay. I was overjoyed he was there! Alex was in a uniform and extremely professional. I took him to the laundry room where he started the washer and it made the noise I had described. He immediately started his assessment and I felt like he knew exactly what was wrong. It wasn't 10 minutes and he advised it was a sensor that needed to be replaced. Get this he had a replacement in his work vehicle! Alex had my washer repaired in and presented me with an invoice within 30 minutes of his arrival! It cost me so much less than the purchase of a new washer! To my surprise, the next day, Alex text asking how the washer was working! I have NEVER had a repair company do this! This company is the real thing! Came home from a long weekend vacation and 20 mins later, our 7 year old refrigerator just...died. I searched google maps for appliance repair, at 10:00 PM on a Monday night. SmartWay was highly reviewed so I clicked onto their website. Within minutes, I scheduled a next morning appointment on line, which was immediately confirmed via text. The technician arrived exactly on time the next morning, after providing a 30 min advance of arrival call with a photo of the tech and his name. As a woman at home alone during the day, I truly appreciate that safety feature! Technician was thorough, efficient, polite and explained all the costs to me for repairs up front. He also helped load and unload my freezer, both on the initial service date and the next day when he came back with parts to complete the repairs. So I paid for a three year warranty at Nebraska Furniture Mart. It was just $200.00 dollars for my new LG top loader washing machine. The machine is only 1 1/2 years old and it starts making a grinding noise. Allstate hold the policy after jumping through multiple hoops online and over the phone. They ask me to send a video with audio in via email supposedly they can diagnose the problem magically. I send the video in and get no response. I call the said that machine was unrepairable so they would cut me a check for the price of the washer. After picking my jaw up of the ground I call these guys and book an appointment for today. The tech shows up spends about an hour diagnosing the problem. Says it fixed I come over and ask what was it. He shows me a nickel that is all scraped up says it was wedged between the plate and something else. That was the grinding noise. Fix 1 hour just over a $100.00 bucks. The moral of this story never buy the extended warranty and have a good repairman's number. They are worth the call. read more

The technician came out, took the back of my fridge off, then pressed a button to turn on a fan. He then told me the compressor was out and they don't work on refrigerators with R600 coolant, then charged me the $85+ tax service fee. I had LG come out and was informed the compressor is fine, it's the freezer fan. The Smartway tech was here less than 10 min. That is super shady to do that to people because you're having a slow day. They knew I had an LG before even coming out, if they don't work with that refrigerant, they should ask more questions before even coming out to make sure it's serviceable by them. My only reservation is about the price - rather on the high end . Their online quote was at least misleading. Maybe I should have double check about the cost when he came, but now is too late. I used Yelp to get estimates for a dryer repair of a knob that had broken off. I couldn't use dryer without this knob so needed it fixed. I was given a quote for repair and decided to go with SmartWay Appliance Repair. Scheduling an appointment was very easy via using the messaging within Yelp & via text messages. We had a time frame of 9-11am. Eugene arrived within the early part of the time window given which was good. Upon inspecting dryer, he found that a part was broken that he didn't have with him so he had to leave to go get it and would be back the afternoon and it would cost an additional $30...ok. Well, upon calling at 5pm, we found out he would be later getting back to my house but we had plans that evening so we had to reschedule for the next morning. He came back the next morning and completed the job. My dryer part that was replaced was white but we had to use a part that was off white/beige color because he wasn't able to find white...ok fine since I'm the only one that will see it anyway. David serviced and cleaned up our 8 yr whirlpool that had erratic cooling of the fridge section. He promised to not charge for labor again of the problem continues and warrantied the service for 3 months. After a week with no change in status he came in to change the control board given all diagnostics was passing. He then discovered freon leak which was hard to detect and recommended a replacement- no control board change. To top it he refunded 50% of his service fee. Hard to find honest techs in this day and age. We replaced the fridge last week. Highly recommend Smartway appliance- you cant go wrong with honest folks! read more

Ordered a new oven and Alex from this place arrived to install it. So professional, clean, COVID respectful, and friendly. He got the job done but that night we discovered it wasn't heating. He came back free of charge to diagnose the problem which he found quickly and that problem existed from the beginning, a breaker powering the oven needed to be replaced. He came back the next morning with the part, even tested/reinstalled our old oven for us with the new breaker and then reinstalled the new oven which we decided to keep.
