I will not be shipping hest buy again. We went in to purchase a 700.00 camera kit for our upcoming vacation. They didn't have it set up on the camera stage but said they had one similar to test out before purchase. I went to pick it up and test it out the employee advised not to because the alarm would sound (it was very sensitive) I asked if he could help us find one we could handle so I could test it out. He advised "all of the batteries are dead" I asked him to change them out. He advised the alarm would sound and they didn't have the key to release it and change it out/charge it. Why have cameras up for display and to be tested and not keep up with charging the batteries or changing them out? I asked if I didn't like it after buying it could would they take a return,he advised yes for 14 days. They tried to up sell me on the warranty and didn't even know what it covered,didn't even know what the manufactures warranty covered. Against every cell in my body screaming "walk away and don't buy it" I bought it, only to return it the very next morning. Upon returning it they kept almost a 100.00 of my money for a restocking fee... had I been able to test it out at the store before buying I wouldn't be out 100.00 because I wouldn't have bought it! They have gone downhill and are below subpar for customer service and the condition of their store/what's available to test out before purchase. Geek Sqad was able to clear out my MacBook Air reset it to help me get it working again. Unfortunately it only lasted a week with how much use it got over the 7 years I had it. Luckily they were able to take it and e-recycle it and provide me with a good deal on a new laptop to get up and running again. read more

DO NOT BUY APPLIANCES HERE!!!!!!! I bought a washer and dryer brand new!. Dryer works fine but the washer I've had nothing but problems with, first of all I purchased the $300 warranty and I live 25 miles outside of Amarillo and they assured me that it was not an issue at all. Now that the washer had a mess up which was the latch I called they came out within a week and did the prognosis which I already knew was the latch and also mentioned in the work order like it said so they could pre order the part. That didn't happen whatever we get the latch ordered then I wait all day for them to show up on the given time just to have to call MYSELF and ask what the issue was, they informed me no one was coming because I live out of town and that it would cause some issues. So then I rescheduled just for them to reschedule 4 TIMES. It's been since March I haven't had a washer that I paid $500 for plus $300 warranty that isn't worth anything. Went into the store to see if I could just get a refund just for the guy to tell me I need to reschedule the work order and if they think it's fixable they will fix it if not then I maybe could get a refund depending on the third party service guy!!!. When I expressed straight up that they suck the guy was visibly upset and told me to leave after I told another customer not to buy anything there. Like WHAT A JOKE!!!! I was in the market for a new keyboard and I wanted an upgrade. I was looking for something a little snazzy than I currently had and it occurred to me that I never thought about adding some color to my keyboard life. I decided to get an LED keyboard that would light up and change colors. I was lucky that two employees were able to help me pick out the best from their selection with the budget I had and I was thrilled. Of course their was a lot of other technicalities about the keyboard that I probably should have spent more time fiddling with it to maybe only do one exclusive color light but I just wanted to get one with lights. Now I have a keyboard that lights up the room changing the ambiance of the room ever so gently. The price was ideal and the staff super helpful. Best Buy is my favorite go to electronic store but this store in Amarillo seriously needs to step up their game. Since there are no camera shops in Amarillo one would think Best Buy would carry more camera accessories. I had to buy a light hopefully it will help me with photo lighting. Then the light only came with a battery no DC cord. I called BB and they said they had the cord when I got there they said they didn't. Frustrating ! But this isn't the only thing we bought a refrigerator and the door couldn't be switched because they only had one man deliver it. They rescheduled and didn't show up, then rescheduled but I couldn't be here so they came anyway fortunately I had someone to be there. After they were done they left fingerprints all over stainless steel and some glue like stuff on the door and the door slams when it shuts. We buy all our appliances and electronics with Best Buy but not at the store in Amarillo. their customer service needs work, the items they carry are minimal and their delivery service needs help. I then just ordered online and the Amarillo Best Buy intercepted my order and shipped me a return from their store which I had to drive clear across town to return. The last was an egg cooker. It was dirty, something white all over the black base and down in the groove of the power cord, and part of the packaging was missing. They don't even try to hide the fact. This rating is for best buy in general as a company. It's complete s**t. The website said the appliances were in stock and could be delivered within 5 days so I signed up for the Best Buy credit card and ordered them. They start bombarding us with emails to schedule delivery, but the website won't allow delivery to be scheduled. I call the help line, they try to get me to cancel the order and get completely different appliances despite the website still saying that they're in stock currently. So I go to my local store (since they have no phones you can call), and he tells me the website is just plain wrong and despite this being common knowledge, they don't fix it. So the soonest my first appliance will arrive is over a month and the other two are scheduled to be back in stock in FOUR months, despite them selling it to me under the pretense of four DAYS. Now one of them on the website randomly says it will be delivered tomorrow, even though I didn't schedule a delivery.... Because the website still won't let me schedule it.... And now the third appliance says it was canceled. Who cancelled it?!? I'm so done with this crap company. I hope they tank in the coming years. read more

I don't know where these negative reviews come from. If they do not have a product at this particular store, they will find it at another store and have it shipped for pickup. Selection of off the shelf items is fine. If you are looking for something like a 90 inch TV, they may not have it in stock. Service is good. Almost all of the staff I have talked to are very knowledgeable. While we were there, we had questions about synchronizing e-mail on different devices. While Best Buy is well-known for his horrible customer service, this Best Buy location is the worst of the worst! Try calling the store and getting a live person on the phone. It cannot be done! Plus if you do decide to go into this backwater store, you'll typically find that they have about the same level of stock as a store that is going out of business! BEWARE: Best Buy does not honor their supposed 'No Lemon Policy'! This is, quite simply, the worst customer service experience that I have ever received. Is anyone accountable for anything anymore? 09.20.2013 - Purchased new Samsung ATIV all-in-one computer from Best Buy for $888.72 10.01.2013 - Dark spot appears on the monitor. 10.25.2013 - Sent to Geek Squad the first time for repair for dark spot on the monitor. 11.01.2013 - Geek Squad finishes repair and it is ready for in-store pickup. LCD panel replaced entirely. The dark spot returns in a few days. 02.11.2014 - Sent to Geek Squad the second time for repair. 03.09.2014 - Picked up once again post repair after having been there for nearly a month this time. LCD panel, hard drive, and webcam all replaced. 03.10.2014 - Taken back to Best Buy the third time for constant crashing issues. The supposedly new hard drive needs ninety Windows 8 updates, none of which will install without crashing. 03.11.2014 - Told by Geek Squad's in-store personnel that the dark spot has also come back and they are checking to see what can be done about this. I was also told by them that I have to order the recovery disks from Samsung for the crashing issues myself and bring them back to them. They kept it yesterday in order to install a new operating system. 03.15.2014 - Received recovery media discs from Samsung. Took to Geek Squad and was informed that "it could still be awhile as they were pretty backed up." 03.16.2014 - Geek Squad calls to inform that the OS has been reloaded. However, the dark spot has definitely returned and must be sent back for repair. I am told that it should go out that night. 03.18.2014 - Finally receive notification that the PC has been sent off for the fourth repair, shipped at 9PM two full days after being told that this would be done. Despite being told the first time that I brought the PC in that after three attempted repairs I would receive an even exchange, no one seems to be holding up this promise now. What will it take for Best Buy to make this right? read more

All I wanted was a quick and easy process of getting a new phone for my son as a Christmas present, when I walked in, it went good, I was greeted by the friendly man by the door. It goes downhill when they bring out the phone I've been looking for and ask me to do all these verification steps with little to no help on how to go through. I also noticed one of the employees recording our conversation without my consent, they refused to sell the phone to me and kept making up excuses with little to no help at all and were extremely rude while talking to me. If there was one way to explain the employees, it's like a very petty child that refuses to listen to anything. Words go in one ear and out the other. I don't understand because when my friends went there, they didn't have to go through any verification process, they were given the phone with one payment. But the moment I wanted to buy one, all of a sudden you need to go to your carrier, get a new plan and get a credit check. Was it because of the way I dressed? Was very upsetting knowing that dressing up a certain way leads to a credit check having to be done on you. read more

This Best Buy is fairly well stocked. I bought an open item, but I exchanged it the next day because I found out they were running a deep sale on the next unit up in specs. They did not have these sale prices shown in the store or I would have purchased the other originally. When I returned it, I had to wait forever for a Geek to come and check it out. Bad customer service and phone directory. I've tried multiple times to reach their auto installation service and have failed to have anyone answer the phone ever! Their phone service allows no way that I could find to re-direct and actually speak to a live human being so I've given up, for now, and may just return an audio sound system that I received as a gift since I can't get them to install it. Best Buy in Amarillo, Tx SUCKS!! Internet ordering here i come. i ordered a camera and wanted to ship it to my house, but i guess since it was in stock at the store we had to pick it up. not given another option. i wanted it shipped to the house because i can't walk the stores yet. everything else shipped to the house, but the camera. the email says to bring a valid ID, the cc we used, and the email order page with the order number on it. my hubby goes to pick it up and they don't want his valid id they want mine. says nothing about me coming to get it personally, just to have a valid ID. JERKS!! i just had knee replacement surgery and will not be able to walk the store like that to get it. Had a Appointment with Geek squad had to wait 30 mins past my appointment time was told by apple I could get a replacement called them they said they had my phone in stock get there had to wait past appointment time only to be told they can't do anything. Honesty is a rare thing anymore. I have purchased another device from them and not once have they ever held up to their end of the deal when a device is not working properly. I purchased my iPhone 6 from them and purchased their replacement policy. I asked multiple times and multiple people if I cracked the screen would they replace it. I was told each time most definitely. Now My screen is cracked and they will do nothing. No matter the deal they give I will no longer use best buy for any of my purchases. This was not the first instance as I used geek squad with my computer and they found a way to get out of helping me there as well. Best But is always my go to store when it comes to tech. This Best Buy store is one of my favorites. The service could be a little better and the Geek Squad has a line pretty much all the time but besides that everything else is pretty well kept. They have what I need in stock (most of the time) and have price match like all other best buys so the prices are always great. I love their mobile department. I purchase all my phones from here rather than AT&T just because they have a better choice in accessories and are quick, easy to, and friendly while they are getting your new phone set up. read more

Took my computer in for cleaning & minor repair after their online agent really messed up settings. One thing led to another - Manager finally recommended wiping the hard drive & reloading. When they got through - My Word & Excel were gone! The tech said the Office package I purchased on the computer were old & NOT AVAILABLE ANY LONGER.. I would have to pay for a newer version of Office AGAIN. I feel I have been ripped off by Best Buy Geek Squad with no recourse but to continue to lay put more & more money even with their 'cover everything' maintenance plan...... They never ask enough questions up front when you leave your computer with them..... NEXT DAY: the manager had the techs install a replacement (newer) software package for my Word & Excel. BUYER BEWARE! Bought a new 60" Sharp Smart TV in January 2015 from Best Buy in Amarillo. Pad $800 It died 3 months later. The circuit board is bad. Waited a week for techs from Lubbock. Was told the part is BACKORDERED with no ETA! Another words Sharp doesn't have it and they don't know when they'll get it! Went to Best Buywith my receipt. Talked to Pio Sean Medina, manager. He told me I have to deal with Sharp. Refused to take it back, refused to give me an in-store credit, refused to help me deal with Sharp. When I contined to question him, pointing out that I'm sure they deal with Sharp on a regular basis, he told me to leave the store. Really? That's how they treat us in Amarillo? 'Zero' is my rating. I made my mother an appointment at the Best Buy in Amarillo (supposedly the 'Apple Store' for the area) The first man that was helping her was very kind. But he gave her over to an arrogant employee who was demeaning to her. He quickly handed her phone back saying it was 'fixed'. She asked him if he was sure. He took that 'personally' and snapped back 'Yes.'--as she walked back through the parking lot, she thought to herself 'I am not going to leave here and get home to find out they did not replace the SIM card correctly' so she went BACK IN. Sure enough, another employee checked it for her and they had put the wrong one in! Well she was frazzled from her entire visit and the whole experience. She came in with a new phone and simply wanted to switch her account to the new phone. Should have been simple and routine. She didn't get to ask the other questions that would have been routine and she got home with a phone that still doesn't work. I wish I could Select a ZERO as my rating. They had an ATM machine in the store that I used to withdraw money and they were not wiling to offer at least a 5% discount for the inconvenience of having to pay the ATM fee.
