Pick up Best Buy orders are the way to go for me. I prefer not to go through the hassle of searching through the store for what I want or need. You may be waiting for a while depending on how busy they are, however, it works for me. Place your order, park, notify, wait. The in store experience isn't bad for those that want to go in. I received a text from Best Buy stating there was an issue with one of my three large orders. Two of the orders included multiple TVs, mounts, hardware, and installation services. The third order included two refrigerators and a set of individually colored panels, totaling around 12 line items. When I logged into my account, there was no indication that anything was wrong with any of the orders. I chatted with support, but all they could provide were the scheduled delivery dates -- no real answers. I decided to leave it alone and checked again about a week later. Everything still showed as "good." Since I needed to reschedule the delivery dates anyway, I was able to reschedule the first two orders without issue. However, when trying to move the third order (the refrigerators), I found I could not reschedule it at all. I contacted support again. The first rep once again could only tell me the scheduled delivery dates -- no explanation. I requested a transfer to someone else. The second rep, when trying to move the fridge order, discovered the order had already been canceled, even though nothing in my account showed any sign of it being canceled. No email, no notice, nothing. The agent then had to manually cancel each individual line item from the order, which took over 20 minutes. (The system was running extremely slow -- for example, when I tried rescheduling, each time I clicked to change a month it took 25+ seconds to load.) After over an hour online: We successfully rescheduled two orders. One order (the refrigerators) was confirmed canceled -- but only because I intervened. Otherwise, I would have sat around waiting for expensive appliances I paid for that were never coming, with no communication or warning from Best Buy. Today, I went back into my account to double-check everything -- and now it's showing part of my orders scheduled for the correct new date, and other parts still stuck on the old, wrong date we just changed. Now I'm forced to go into the store to try to fix this in person -- and based on past experience, that's usually even worse. You typically get young kids who barely know the system, looking at you like you're crazy for expecting them to actually make an effort to fix anything. For a global company, this is a completely inadequate system. It's unacceptable that a customer has to dig, chase, escalate, and physically go to a store just to get basic information and support. Best Buy seriously needs to fix their customer communication, their system performance, and the attitude in their stores. read more

Great staff here at best buy. Out of stock of a lot of things on display, but they can order everything. Cassidy was SO helpful! My dad had a LOT of questions (thank you for the help dad) and was super honest and informative with the computers. I even feel like I learned a little bit more about computers after talking to her. Best Buy in general has fallen off over the last couple of years. My past visits to other locations have been very ho hum , in part due to their inventory being almost non existent. When I came into this location , I was prepared to walk out empty handed , as I've done at other locations. While shopping for a birthday gift for my nephew, I met sales associate, Alex. Alex was great! He talked with me and I finally decided on the perfect gift for my nephew. I was in and out quickly , thanks to Alex! I drop my PC off for repairs on Friday. I went out of town came back on Sunday my pc wasnt even touched. (Trussville location) I decide to take it to another location which is on 280. first off they get you to pay $179 for the total Best Buy membership .. that's fine no problem. But the amount of time you have to wait to get your pc repaired is insane. You get no updates besides a message saying your pc was checked in and show it's being worked on when they Probubly never touched it. You try to call in to get an update and you can't reach the location. Instead they send you to a problem that's not even at the store. all and all they have no clue what's going on with your pc. Best Buy has fallen off bad and it's sad. Today on Wednesday I still have no received my pc it's still at the 280 location. I have no clue when it will be done. read more

The new location is really nice! It's actually really well stocked as well. They have a full compliment of stuff that you are able to find at the larger Best Buy locations including appliances, tons of tv's (possible prep for black friday), tons of cameras and gear .... and all the typical movies, music, games you'd expect to find. Really, the only negative I'd point out is the fact that they aren't very personable. This is a new location and they have a person at the door that - at least in other locations - serves as a greeter. Not here, there was a person at the front door - not greeting anyone - not thanking anyone for coming in. I crossed paths with a few other associates while I walked through the store, not a peep from any of them. With a lack of customer service the only thing that makes them different than online shopping is that you can actually touch the item before making a purchase. Would really like to see these guys step up their game, I think it would go a long way towards getting repeat business. read more

Asked three separate employees to help us they each had a different reason why we needed to wait. As we walked we told them how disappointed we were with the service and they said hang on and we will find someone but we were too aggravated to give them our business. Currently sitting in the parking lot of Best Buy located on US-280, highly disappointed. Best Buy used to be a friendly and joyful place to shop, but I see those days are gone. I ordered an open-box item for store pickup today at 9 a.m. It's 4 p.m. now, and still no word, so I figured maybe I could go and pick the item up to expedite this process. Boy, was I wrong. I got to the store to find only one customer there, so I'm thinking this should be easy. I go to the pickup desk and ask if the order is ready, to which the employee states, " it's only one person working in the back today, and he does not know when the order will be ready, I can't tell you when it will be ready." So I say, 'Ok, I'll look around a bit.' Is this the way of customer service in Brick and Mortar stores? I find my order sitting on the sales floor with my name on it. I don't understand why, if I'm here to pick it up, what the issue is you don't look very busy and I'll bet you weren't busy today. It got to the point where I was ready to ask if I could just wheel it to the front door. I get that they probably had other orders to pick, but if I'm here, ready to pick up after waiting 7 hours for a same-day pickup, you would think they would assist me also the LP employee made my wife uncomfortable as he was watching me walk around the store as if I were a criminal. The Best Buy on Hwy 280 is the worst Best Buy I've ever been in. The inventory is poor and you can never get anybody to help you. There are plenty of employees in the store but they're too busy looking at their cell phones and if you do disturb one to ask a question or for some help you'll be greeted very rudely for bothering them. There are hardly any customers in the store no matter what time you go there and I understand why. read more

I ordered something and selected pickup in order to cut my wait time. I went to the pickup line only to find 5 or 6 people in front of me and no one working the cash registers. People were waiting in the pickup line to check out. There was no benefit of ordering and selecting pickup if it didn't cut any time out of my journey. Do better. read more

I'm not one to typically write sub-par reviews, but I've been disappointed lately with this store. The staff appears, very young, inexperienced, and not very helpful. Went into this store to buy everything I would need to get my wireless connection setup. Not knowing what I would be needing, I hunted down a staffer for help. When I found an associate (actually several), I noticed they were in a huddle goofing off. The first girl, indicated she knew nothing and the second simply pointed us into the direction we needed to go. After asking for help again, we were given a cable router. We then asked if this was everything we would need to get our wireless internet setup up, and the associate said yes. $90 later, our bright-house technician asked us for the router. Not being very well versed, he proceeded to explain to us what the problem was, and casually noted that Best Buy hires kids with no knowledge of equipment, and to better go to Radio Shack. Needless to say, we followed his advice, and bought what we needed at Radio Shack, and will be returning our other Cable Modem to Best Buy soon. Disclosure: I did call the store the following day, and after a lengthy wait (+10 min), was given a manager who was very friendly. read more

I've never had a bad experience at this Best Buy location. The staff has always been super friendly and helpful. Most recently, I bought a new Eero mesh router system and the employee that helped me made sure I paid the best price and had a great experience! Their COVID standards have exemplified their customer service as now you get one-on-one help with a person that specializes in the department you are looking in, plus the curbside pickup is an excellent way to grab something you need quickly. I really feel like this location highlights why Best Buy is still relevant in the digital age. read more

No one to help and they aren't understaffed they are just too busy all up front hanging out with the security guard. No one greeted us coming in and no one said a word to us going out. Was shopping for 3 new desktops as well as 4 tvs for my new business but couldn't get help because all the male employees are too busy huddled up front as well as on the aisles avoiding people. This Best Buy is absolutely horrible. Just went in and bought a Samsung monitor (open box, marked excellent condition). However, unbeknownst to me the genius who boxed it up put a Lenovo power chord in it. When I went back, the nice man at electronics helped me as much as possible. He sent me to a manager who told me she could not help me nor did they have any dc 14v power chords. After I even gave the incorrect power chord back, I asked if I bring it back can I get a different one for the same price (since Best Buy messed up). The manager lady said "please don't complain to corporate". Well ma'am I will be complaining after how the product was mislabeled and y'all couldn't even help me get the right cord. There were eight staff members that watched me drive up,'park and get the kids out the car only to wait until I wasn't the door to slam the security gate down! The one guy that came out to explain they were closed except for curbside pick was polite. However, they could have save me time and the extreme pain I experienced to get the kids across that busy street and to the door, had they just informed me earlier! I asked if I could order from my phone and get the item I had already reviewed online? No, he said it would be tomorrow before it showed up but they would have it ready tomorrow for curbside pickup. Declined to make another trip and said I would just order from Amazon. However, I popped into the Target in the same parking lot and an extremely helpful person assisted me completely. Called the corporate number 18882378289 and the first rep hung up on me and said they couldn't even find my order. Second rep said the charge was just an authorization and to talk to my bank. Bank verified charge. Third rep said same thing and got me a supervisor. Supervisor says the same thing and wanted to talk with my bank about the charge with me on the phone and as soon as my bank got on the phone and verified the charge, they hung up again Fourth foreign rep - Tina - hung up as well. Fifth Rep - Jenna hung up on me. The Store themselves say they cant do anything because it was an online order. I've never gone through this. I bought a TV online from this store. I expected someone o come o set it up, but instead, they sent the TV by UPS. I can watch things that are available across WIFI, but the satellite connection does not register. I called the store and spoke someone who told me he would have someone call but, of course, I never heard from anyone. Today, I have been trying to call again, but no one came to relieve me from the awful music they have on the phone. After an hour of waiting I gave up. I guess I will have to pack the TV back in the box and return it. read more

I made what I thought was a simple request. I was wrong. I needed to borrow a tape measure to see what the dimensions of the box were for an 85" Sony Bigscreen TV, so I'd know which trailer to bring back to get it. I waited for an inordinate amount of time and no one ever came. Evidently, Best Buy's tape measures are dept. specific and the one in the drawer at the front of the store couldn't be used for 30 seconds. Dropped my barely used, not even a year old MacBook Pro off at geek squad to have wiped clean so I could sell it. When they called me, I figured it was to tell me it was ready for pick up. No, they were calling to tell me that after they wiped it clean and turned it back on there were lines running down the screen... I wish I could give zero stars. I will never buy anything well of value here again. I just returned my MacBook Pro because it was slow, took 3-5 minutes just to boot, and didn't have everything that my old one I bought from Apple had. The first thing that went wrong was the guy at Customer Service didn't read my receipt right. He said "it will take 2-3 business days to get you your money back because we have to contact the bank to make sure this isn't fraud." I asked him why they had to contact my bank if I paid in all cash. He apologize for reading the receipt wrong. Then he asked me if I wanted to exchange the computer for anything. (No) He went and got his manager. I RETURNED THE COMPUTER AND DIDNT GET MY MONEY BACK. They told me that they keep their registers low so they couldn't give me the money back for anything over $800.00. BUT IF I WANTED TO EXCHANGE IT THEY COULD. I still didn't exchange it. NOW I HAVE TO WAIT 7-10 BUISNESS DAYS FOR MY MONEY... BY MAIL. We went from 2-3 days if I paid with a card to 7-10 days because I paid with cash. TONS of employees; none that will help you though. Over the many years this Best Buy has been at this location one thing has never changed. There is NO customer service unless you are buying a mobile phone. The store is so full of employees nearly every time I have gone in but none ask if you need help or even looks at you. Last visit I had to call the store while inside the store to let someone know I needed help. There are a lot of discontinued items still being displayed as well. This is why I would rather shop online. This store just does not care if they sell anything but mobile phones. read more

NIGHTMARE EXPERIENCE- Best Buy Geek Squad deleted all 20,000 of my photos and videos!!!! They say there is nothing they can do ... except charge me another $200+. With that they would give me a yes or no as to if a data recovery is even possible. Which their computers are showing not likely. Everything I entrusted them with is suddenly and mysteriously showing corrupt. And they lost it all. So another $200+ for a YES or NO, after they deleted every digital memory I've ever had. And after I already paid them $60+ for their very own external hard drive plus hundreds of dollars for the original data transfer. You'd be MUCH better off trying to figure out how to do a data transfer on your own. Because you couldn't do any worse than them! I walked up to @Best Buy (Birmingham HWY280 store) today at 11:20 with no customers, two employees talking and two employees sitting in chairs texting on their phones. I asked for an adopter and they asked me if I had an appointment. I told them no. The employee informed me I needed an appointment because they were short handed. I told her I liked an appointment at 11:20. She told me the earliest an appointment is made is at noon. I ask for the manager and get the same information. I told them I would post my experience on FB. The employee yelled out, "were not afraid of Facebook!!!". A small business employee would not treat a customer like that. read more

I purchased a dishwasher to be delivered and installed. The Dishwasher arrived damaged and I had to wait two weeks for redelivery. The delivery guys brought it in and said they aren't able to install it that I would have to get someone out here to do the install. I told him I paid for an install and haul off. Meh is about right. The associates here are plentiful but not too helpful and each time I've visited simple questions have received deer-in-the-headlights-blank-stare answers before a bumbling attempt to find someone better suited. The stock is usually pretty precariously stocked (very messy store overall) and I've had several instances where I've thought something was on sale (it was in a clearance section) and bring it for a price check only to realize it is full price... this wouldn't happen if all those associates would put there time into reorganizing instead of playing on their phones. I've processed a return here and while it did eventually go through the process took SO LONG that I questioned whether it was worth my time. read more

So, I've been here several times and never get even a hello... but fast forward to my experience today. I've been researching a go pro video camera from Bestbuy.com all week. I walk in the store READY, and confident I'm going to spend several hundred dollars. Walk in past the greeter. Nothing. Last cashier. Nothing. Just blank eye contact. Looking in the back for the go pros. Employees pass by watching me struggle for a minute or two. FOUND THEM! At this point I've got some accessories in hand and now I'm ready to look at the camera. I'm trying to look in the glass display to see the back of the box. Very hard to see though. I realized there are three or four employees directly behind me looking my directing, leaning and sitting on the counter. I make eye contact a few times. Not even offered to help. I drop every thing in my hand on the display case, makes a some what loud noise. Still nothing. I walk out. Visibly annoyed. The employees at the front. Cashier and greeter don't say a word. Be careful when ordering online Daily Specials from Best Buy. I ordered a 40" TV Sept 9. Shipped , and UPS lost it . Here it is Oct 20th and I was charged for the TV and Best Buy and UPS are arguing over who didn't follow thru the claim process correctly . I am out $350 and no offer of a Replacement TV ! I was told from Best Buy it would be at least 8-10 days before a refund would be issued after issue is resolved . Not good service from either of them ! read more
