I find Best Buy to be a good source for computers, accessories, and electronics... if you know what your want. If they have it they stand behind it... with a decent return policy. They also price match Amazon (if it's sold and shipped by Amazon). I ordered an solid state external hard disk (SSD) online and had it shipped to me. Worked fine for a week and then froze up. I brought it to their Geek Squad and they verified it was defective... I returned it for full credit and bought a better one that has been great. By the way, if you're looking for an external drive... I'm using it to store a bunch of videos and photos... I highly recommend the Samsung T7 2TB SSD. I don't find their salespeople to be that helpful for guidance, so I do all my homework to determine what I want, then use Best Buy for fulfilment. read more

I dropped my laptop and the power cord pushed the adapter plug inside where it couldnt be reached. Guy told me yeah they send it to HP, they'll call you with an estimate. 2 weeks later get a call that my laptop is done. Guy at the desk tells me they cant do anything because its and outdated model. 4 years old Original guy made it seem like this was the much better option than looking for a local repair place and that they would send it to HP. The day after I researched set up and found that the price had dropped by $200. I called (you can't reach the store), spent 30 mins on holds only to hear that I was 1 day too late. The cut off is 25 days, not 16. Even though it's birthday or holiday season, there is NOTHING that they would do. I even called back a second time. Had a great experience at Best Buy Boca Raton today. Three years ago, they set up my Sonos and I purchased Best Buy Total membership to protect it, not even sure why since I usually stay away from warranties. Sonos has never been a problem. I've bought a bunch of things from the store over the last few years and last week our Breville Smart Oven Air Fryer Pro went down after about 15 months. The dreaded E 06 - irreparable you're f*^#ked warning. After a week of research on line trying to figure out what to do, I remembered my Total membership and tossed it in my car and brought it back to Best Buy Boca where I bought it, not knowing what to expect. They simply honored the 2 year protection and exchanged it for a new one, no questions asked. And I had a $20 gift credit from them and picked up a Sony compact speaker for the beach for another $30. It pays to have Best Buy Total Membership for bigger purchases. I'll definitely be renewing next cycle. And thank you Federico for your great service, you were amazing!! read more

Best Buy has been my go-to appliance store for many years. Based on recent experience in trying to resolve a mistake they made, I learned they no longer take phone calls at their local store. Having spent two hours of my Saturday attempting to resolve my problem with various customer representatives who work remotely I will never shop with Best Buy again. I purchased a range on 12/1/2024 and upon reading many reviews concluded it has quality issues, so I cancelled the order the same day. I had received a $150 promotional gift card with my purchase and shredded the card, assuming it too would be cancelled. I recently received my Best Buy credit statement to discover I am being charged for this card. Numerous calls to Best Buy's credit and customer service departments did not resolve my concern. I was told the best they can do is reissue the gift card and that I must now pay for a gift card I have no use for. I have asked to have my concern escalated to someone who is in the position to resolve the situation, to no avail. Today I filed a Better Business complaint to resolve as it is obvious I've exhausted all avenues to resolution with Best Buy. Best Buy has changed its customer service standards and while the representatives who work remotely may be equipped to handle common issues, they were not able to see my issue through to satisfaction. Why would a customer want to pay for a gift card they don't intend to use and that was given to them as part of a promotion for a transaction that was cancelled? read more

Wow! Customer service is deplorable until a manager helps. Then they can fix but the value and selection was lacking. After an hour they supposedly had the items ready and available for install they sent there mid-delivery team who spoke zero English and did not do the install nor the exchange of the machines. I primarily use Amazon and B&H for my electronics but occasionally I will use Best Buy if they have the item available for same day pickup and I'm in the area. I've recently purchased a few items (Ring cam, Amazon Echo, and so on) and used Best Buy's very convenient curbside pick up to get everything. The experience was great every time. Wait time was no more than a few minutes and I had the items faster than even Amazon could get them to me. I also had to return 1 item I was having issues with, a hoverboard, and the customer service I received was excellent. Very quick and issue free. Refund processed without issues. I like this Best Buy. Great spot to pick up those little electronics we all love. Five stars. read more

I get notices via email to pick up my HP REPAIR with details etc. I call to confirm and then go to pick up the computer. After 30 minutes they tell me they don't have that item as indicated and that the serial numbers are wrong. WHAT? The service here is always mediocre at best, and you'll be waiting for a long time to find anyone who isn't busy as most of the staff seems like they're fulfilling mobile orders all the time or just not around at all. That being said I've never had an unfriendly experience, just slow. 4 stars because, if you're willing to wait this is the spot for deals. The following is my email response to a store manager for this location who emailed me with his telephone number in the email. Dear Mr. Biaocchi, Your telephone number listed in your email has a voice mailbox that isn't even set up. That basically sums up the experience I have of Best Buy: your company has the semblance of professionalism, but despite good intentions and stoic representatives, you don't deliver on your promises because your overall system is broken in all the wrong places.  The range in question was supposed to a birthday present for the lady of the house. The range I bought on November 12th didn't arrive on the 20th. The installers who came to my home, who wouldn't identify themselves or call the warehouse, gave me no useful information outside of a phone number. Even though the person who sold me the range, George Dumett, assured me that all we had to do was call him should we need him, his numbers on the card never worked. Even though I called Best Buy numerous times on Saturday the 20th, no one could give me consistent information on the whereabouts of the range. When I went to the Boca store today, George Dumett, who was so effusive and reassuring when he sold me the oven, bolted and stayed out of sight when he realized how upset I was. Mind you, I didn't speak disrespectfully, raise my voice, or use profanity. I was simply seeking a refund. There was one man in the Appliances section who was professional, candid and I daresay empathetic. I regret not getting his name. He helped me piece together what likely happened without misrepresenting Best Buy or speculating.  Here's what most likely happened: The range made it from Orlando to South Florida, but the third party delivery men were trying to complete their route in a hurry. The original delivery window was 10am to 8pm, then noon to 8pm, and finally between noon and 3pm. They told their dispatcher they'd make it to my home by 11:20am, which they did, but they left the range at the warehouse. When they realized their oversight, they decided to tell me the range wasn't at the warehouse when they left. I can't prove that they lied outside of the fact that Jesus at the warehouse told my lady later in the day that the range was still there. Moreover, everything in the installer's body language, his unwillingness to identify himself, his refusal to call the warehouse, everything told me he was hiding something he hoped would go away.  I spent most of the 20th calling Best Buy. Being an elite member is, I assure you, completely valueless. No one could get me a manager. No one could tell me where the range was. And today, when I spoke with Stoney and then with Terence, I was told that the item was marked in transit so I couldn't even begin the process of obtaining a refund and cancel the order. This time of year tests a system, and your system is feckless and broken. Your salespeople are only good at making a sale, and have no interest in customer service. You have some remarkable employees, but even they can't compensate for a delivery system that can be easily circumvented.  Michael, just like you don't have your voice mailbox set up, you can't help me because Best Buy is not designed to sell customer service, only make sales that customers can haul out of your stores and away from your properties. This isn't the first time Best Buy fell short, but I hope it will be my final experience. Of course, I have to return after 48 hours because I am hostage to your utterly broken system and cannot hope your overworked, inconsistent staff will exercise any followup. I would invite you to call me on my mobile phone, but in all fairness, if you don't even have your own phone configured, and if the direct line to Best Buy doesn't even ring the store, it tells me communication with customers isn't exactly a priority.  ############## Now, if you're still reading, you need to know that Best Buy is so stretched thin because of the logistical nightmares created by the pandemic that they hire third parties to perform installations, and they can't directly vet these contractors. Also, the size of Best Buy means one hands is fumbling to find out what the other hand is doing when something goes wrong. So buy that appliance at your own risk, folks, because Best Buy might have some wonderful people, but their operation is a very broken machine indeed. read more

My experience with Best Buy in Boca Raton has been horrendous. I went into purchase a new oven and I specifically stated that I wanted to wall ovens that were stainless and convection. When the ovens arrived installers check out my old ovens and said they were live wires and they could not install the new ovens and left them in my foyer. At that point I called my electrician and he came up and said there were no live wires and installed them and I had to pay him close to $1100. After these ovens were installed I noticed they were the incorrect ovens only one of them was convection. I called the store and the salesman said I was correct he had made an error and they could order another oven for me. That was in July. Now every month I get a form letter stating that the oven better I want is on back order and they cannot deliver it. I have reached out to Best Buy corporate and their liaison and the salesman and ask them to let me keep this but not to charge me an up charge. I definitely do not want to have their installers in my home again after the experience I had. No one gets back to me! I must've sent eight emails and left phone messages and the store manager is never available to take a call. Just purchased an "open box" item in "excellent condition". It was shipped to me as I live pretty far away. Opened the box - and the parts are missing. Called the store 3 times - every time was immediately re-routed to an overseas or the Minneapolis location. All 3 customers service reps confirmed that the missing parts should have been sent to me but refused to connect me to talk to the store ("not enough people in the store since COVID") to request the shipment of the missing parts. Instead, I was told to ship back the entire purchase - "due to BB policy"... Conclusion: if you really do not care about the customer service or the product support, please do shop at Best Buy! If you do care about your money - avoid this company and shop at other places where they care about the customers. Apparently, the company is going to file for Chapter 11 protection (and hopefully, Chapter 7 - asset liquidation) rather soon. read more

My wife and i boughr and paid for a tv at a terriffic discount. Evidenly the discount was too good. The first delivery date slipped to the next day. On the second day their automated system said all day that th tv was on the delivery truck and would br delivered. An hour after our last call to verify that it was on the way (after waiting 8 hours) someone from corporate called and said there was no tv to deliver. She offered advance availability of black friday sales. Roughly 25% of the discount that we were losing. No way. She schedules a callback the following day at 9 am. She called around noon after international customer service dropped our calls 7 times. By then i gad calldd my bank to dispute the calls. Funniest thing: their system keeps contacting me to reschedule the delivery appointment. read more

I don't go into Best Buy much anymore simply because everything is online or I can go through Amazon, today though, I needed instant gratification and a gift card so I came here. This location in terms of layout is probably one of the nicest locations I've been to in a long time. I see they've set up a really nice appliance department and I noticed that in many sections they seemed to knock off how Apple displays their products, which I'm not complaining about. They have a decent selection of movies and DVDs even though the amount overall still has significantly declined over the years with the invention of iTunes. I moved over to the video game department, easily found the game I wanted and headed to the check out. On the way I picked up the gift card I needed as well. I ALWAYS forget my Best Buy card. Luckily the cashier didn't mind looking up both my card information and my Reward Zone membership information to get me points for this purchase. There was no wait at the checkout and I was in and out in minutes. A quick and painless trip. I got a present for someone, and of course, a gift for me in the process. Don't go there unless you know exactly what you want and feel like self-service, including trying to find the item that you want and then trying to figure out how to get it as the cases are locked. Try to get help for 40 minutes, even went to the front desk supervisor to page somebody, no response other than that they were in meetings. They should've brought some customers into those meetings.
