This was the first store I went to go check out baby furniture. Due to covid- they require you to be wearing a mask for the right safety measures. They also would like you to have an appointment if possible, so call their phone number to set up the appointment. Loved the extra safety measures. The lady who assisted us was Natalie, she was excellent in her help, we were able to find something we liked, the price point for us was not something we decided later that we wanted to spend that much money on one room. They do have some great quality furniture, plus accessories etc. She helped us with the exact price breakdown with all the items we liked and sent us the information via email as well. Also told us how long it would take for everything to deliver. We didn't buy from here but it's a great option if you want to see a local store instead of only online options. The name is fitting because they have everything your little prince and princess could need from super cute furniture to layettes to strollers. I could have easily walked out with at least 50 things, but getting it back to Chicago would have been challenging. For those who live in the area I highly recommend stopping in here for your nursery needs. The people who work here were extremely attentive...perhaps almost too attentive following us around the store asking us if we had any questions. They seemed knowledgable about all the products and even followed up with a phone call a few days later to answer questions about the crib and dresser I had my eye on for my little prince. It's also a great place to pick up baby gifts. While I decided it makes more sense for me to handle all my nursery needs in Chicago, I may go back the next time I'm in South Florida to check out their toys and clothing. I don't quite understand the negative reviews as our experience dealing with RFAPAP has been nothing short of excellent. We were able to purchase floor model Romina (at a great discount) which we had previously discounted as the brand is extremely expensive. The delivery went smoothly and we continue to visit the store from time to time. Both Natalies are excellent in customer service and really aim to please their clientele. We recently purchased a magnetic onesie from them where the magnets failed after a few uses despite us following the cleaning directions. RFAPAP told us to come in for exchange or refund, no questions asked. This is the type of service which we are looking for. We will continue to shop at RFAPAP and refer other friends and family looking for high end baby furniture and accessories. read more

I love this store, when I was pregant and my husband and I first went to buy buy baby we where so overwhelmed! I told him we needed to find another place to register for our baby and a room for a prince and princess was it! From the moment we steped in I felt at ease everything is so well organized and they have EVERYTHING you need! The sales people are very knowledge in their products. I got our baby furniture and stroller and car seat and bedding and the list goes on. Its so nice to deal with people who care about you and treat you right the owners where very helpful and really worked with us I loved how they do beatuful custom bedding you can design everything you want. Had the best experience here. I was given a private appointment so no one else was shopping there with me. Made me feel so much safer with COVID. Natalie spent two hours with me, never rushed me, and went above and beyond showing me everything and every option. So friendly, not pushy and incredibly helpful and patient. Rainy day while vacationing in FL with the family so we decided to do some nursery shopping. The store is not huge but very nice and they seem to have a good selection of gifts and stuff, all unique and not something that you find at Target. Natalie was very patient with us (thank you), very knowledgeable and explained us the difference between brands, so that was very informative. We had a very good experience ordering high end custom furniture from this store. The order came in correctly (which is a different experience than when we ordered the same type of furniture at another baby store in Miami). In addition, the delivery crew was on time, pleasant, did not damage any furniture, and explained all the pieces they had delivered and appeared knowledgable. Horrible customer service! An order was made in July for a crib, changing table, etc. and STILL waiting for correct pieces to arrive! Sent wrong furniture more than once and then asked customer to pay a restocking fee! They guarantee when furniture will arrive while weeks and days go by and nothing. Not even a phone call. Such a great children's store to have locally. Was feeling completely overwhelmed by the multitude of options for baby gear on the market. The staff at Rooms for a Prince and Princess simplified the process entirely. They made amazing suggestions, provided valuable input, and guided me in the right direction for some of my biggest purchases. They also were willing to store my purchases in their shop for a few weeks so I could pick the items up closer to the arrival of our baby. I had a fantastic experience at RPP and I could only wish they were closer to me in Toronto! While in the area recently, we stopped in and were greeted by fantastic customer service and retail knowledge all the way through. We hadn't considered furnishing our Toronto home, but the sales staff made it easy and we ended up falling in love with the Romina Ventianni collection, a beautiful and modern set for our Prince that we never could have found at home. RPP sales staff worked quickly to get our orders in and shipped home. We left the store at ease that all our nursery needs were done. I won't claim that their prices are unbeatable--but you probably already knew that--still their customer service almost makes those price tags palatable. read more

Simply put, they are SCUM BAGS! Their number one goal/objective: get your money. We ordered furniture, and were promised that it would arrive well before the expected due date. Surprise, it didn't. And when we called in to see what was going on, they had no tracking info, and.....get ready for this.....actually blamed US on the delay because we didn't order it fast enough. Understand that I'm not talking about 2-3 weeks.....I'm talking about OVER three months! We weren't even in the 3 trimester when we ordered the furniture... My advice, one, stay away from the overprices and underpromises that RPP offers. Two, order your furniture before you actually conceive the baby. Three, read step one. The staff/Corey is trained on one thing, over sell you on everything possible. If you go in wanting to buy a stroller, they'll try to sell you a crib. If you want a crib, they'll try to sell you a stroller. If you're just "looking around" they'll try to sell you on starting a family. read more

Pregnancy and expecting your first baby is supposed to be a joyous experience. Sadly, A Room for a Prince and Princess didn't get that memo. Avoid this store at all costs, unless of course you are a glutton for undue stress and frustration. My fiance and I bought a crib, changing table pad, and glider from this store in January in advance of the arrival of our baby in June. Yep, you are reading correctly. We ordered the furniture 5 months in advance with the word from A Room for a Prince and Princess that the furniture would arrive in 12-16 weeks. After leaving the store (and spending a good deal of money on the items we purchased), both the salesperson and store owner assured us that they would continue to update us on the progress of the furniture as the delivery date got closer. Around 10 weeks into the transaction and after not hearing a peep from the store, we decided to call, or should I say, had to call multiple times to get our initial answer from the store. Finally, after about 5 placed calls without any call back (you know because there was always another person in the store who was in charge of following up about ordered furniture and this person is never in the store and ALWAYS seems to "not get the message" that was left for her), we got word that the furniture should arrive in another month. Apparently, a "bigger order" was placed and this order held precedence over our order. While not happy with this answer, we were satisfied to at least get an answer. One month later with no word from the store and after we placed multiple calls later (are you sensing a theme), we were told that they still had to follow-up with the company supplying the furniture. Once again, we felt forgotten in the process, as A Room for a Prince and Princess had done nothing to follow-up with the company or us during the month. As expected, no calls back from the store and we had to call them on a daily basis to get an update. Finally, there was a light at the end of the tunnel. The furniture had shipped and would be at the warehouse within "1-2 weeks." Yet, A Room for a Prince and Princess lived up to their expectation and once again did not deliver on their promise to call once the furniture arrived at the warehouse. So, we called the now memorized store number a few more times and were given a delivery date. Two days prior to this delivery date, the store surprisingly finally called us....but this call was only to tell us that they needed to change our delivery date because "we only have 1 delivery truck and we need it to pick up furniture for our store." No apologies offered and, instead, they asked if they could make the delivery the following day. We were assured they would be to our house between the designated delivery tie of 8-10, as my fiance and I had a baby shower luncheon that day. The delivery arrived at 10:45, my fiance missed part of our luncheon, had to help the delivery driver put together the crib even though we paid for assembly, and the store offered nothing in terms of apologies, except to say that they couldn't control the weather and it was "raining." James, the delivery driver, was the only person who was apologetic and incredibly helpful through this experience. He was wonderful! Overall, this experience was atrocious. The staff at a Room for a Prince and Princess know nothing about customer service, although are well versed in excuse making. Once they get your money, expect to never hear from them and be prepared to call the store multiple times without any follow-up. The only thing this store might be good for is inducing labor. Parents beware, shop elsewhere! read more

I finally found a place that makes the baby/toddler shopping experience so easy! I've bought everything from furniture (beds for my girls), to embroidered towels, gorgeous clothes and gifts for newborns, toddlers and more. The customer service has always been on point. They leave you to look if you want time or they point you in the right direction if you have questions. I recently purchased my nursery furniture and I can say the quality of product and customer service is top notch. My husband and I looked at 3 furniture stores and this is the only one that had any options in solid hardwood (with solid hardwood, not plywood/particle board drawers) with soft close undermount slides. Other local stores will tell you that they have superior quality (and they tell you this with superior attitude), but it just isn't there like at Rooms for a Prince and Princess. The customer service was also great. Not only were the sales associates knowledgeable, but we met the husband and wife owners and they were great as well. The sales associate spent a chunk of time with us even though it was a weekend and busy and every other employee at least said hello and asked us if we needed anything (including water and a bathroom, which as a pregnant woman is great). They were able to answer all of our questions. When I called back to place the order, they actually informed me that they could give me a discount because other customers had ordered from the same manufacturer and thus they were getting a savings which they would pass onto us. This a higher end store with higher end price tags, but it met my expectations when it came to the level of service you would expect. The only thing that keeps this from being 5 stars is the push I felt from another sales associate while looking around. As I understand it, she is the associate in charge of registries and even after I told her that I was not interested and was looking to register for the bulk of my gifts elsewhere she "reminded" me 2 more times that they did registries there. read more

She sent me resource after resource so I could find what I wanted for my unique style. It is a one stop shop. I was in the back area letting my son play with a few of the display toys to decide which ones he liked best to buy but because another woman came in wanting to buy furniture the guy (owner?) was so annoyed that we were on the floor playing with the toys and was acting like we were in his way. Horrible customer service. PLUS, the only toilet in the store has urine all over the seat and cover, as though the men that run the place consistently pee in there without raising the seat. I went to this store last week because I need some new furniture for my daughter. The merchandise is gorgeous, but the staff is extremely rude. YOU WORK AT A CLOTHING STORE. You aren't better than me or anyone else who walks through the door. I was in the store for 25 minutes and I was the only customer in there (I wonder why) and neither of their employees would even look at me, let alone actually greet me or offer to help. I find the result from below complaint troubling. I know who wrote the review as the individual went through a terrible time buying something for my daughter. Their name is not Amy and they don't work for Bellini. Am sure you can have an Internet expert track the IP address from where both her message and mine originated and it will be clearly apparent. My best advice is to A) fire the new person you just hired from Bellini as she is creating drama and lying about something that did not happen (strange since it will be easily proveable) and B) be open to constructive criticism since ultimately, you have great products but employees aren't helpful. The alternative is you can be stubborn, attack posters on yelp and ultimately go out of business. Either way doesn't impact me. Exceptional service. Really, I can't recommend RPP highly enough. We placed an order that was in no rush last summer. The items arrived earlier than needed/expected and RPP held our items in their warehouse until we were ready to take delivery. Then...they shipped it to Denver. Then, I noticed one of the pieces was damaged. Amanda worked tirelessly with a local company to ensure the repair was taken care of to my satisfaction. Overall, everyone was a delight to work with. I would HIGHLY recommend this store. And a side note, the products they cary are of high quality, really the best you can find. We'll be sure to visit just to say hi whenever we are in town. I am writing this review after months of back and forth over my daughters crib which was cracked at the time of installation when a bolt was screwed in too tight (this is a fact). After months of being put off by RPP, to get the crib fixed and I have the emails to prove it, I then discovered that RPP was not an authorized dealer to sell this Munire crib and I have NO warranty or leg to stand on. This store offers the worst customer service, the manager is rude and arrogant and I would NEVER go there again or recommend this store to any person. I tried to work with them, but from Feb to July when nothing was accomplished what was I to do. I even spoke to the manufacturer, who will not assist because they should not have sold it to me and we tried to get a refund from AMEX, but the sales says no refunds. This is a baby's crib! How could they not care. I even asked them if they would put their own baby in a cracked crib. Imagine that ... no answer. I hope that other consumers research who is authorized to sell baby products before they buy from Rooms for a Prince and Princess. We should have gone to Bellini.
