The sales representative hung up on me while I was asking a few questions about a pc.

They are not closed, but it is very dark inside. Most of the employees were in the cell phone area gossiping about things going on in their life. Two employees were by the televisions talking about the differences to each other. I was able to come in, get the items I needed and leave not having to speak to anyone but the checkout clerk. Not like they would have spoken to me anyways. But the price was reasonable for the items I did need. read more

I had the most gracious and helpful young lady assisting me choosing a new IPad this past Tuesday. I received my IPad when I was told it would arrive. then I was to call the Geek squad to set up an appointment to get my stuff transferred from the old one to the new. my complaint is why these companies have people who speak broken English manning the phones,they are extremely hard to understand. read more

I went in today to pick up some computer cables my wife had ordered. When I got to the service desk, the young lady behind the counter checks and says (rudely) she can't let me have them because my wife hasn't added me to her list. I explained that I'm her husband, I have an ID with the same last name, etc, at which time she cocks her head and in a very condescending voice says "nope" and says nothing else. No, "I'm sorry,sir" or anything to remotely act like she gave a damn. So I don't know when this became policy, because we've picked stuff up for each other before. I understand if it's been changed but sure would have been nice to know that beforehand. What really makes me mad was the rudeness and indifference of the counter help. We've spent a good deal of $ at Best Buy over the years but that ends today. I am also contacting the manager of the store to express my disappointment. ETA: We did speak to the manager who apologized. Interesting that he knew exactly which employee we were talking about before we finished telling him what happened. read more

My word. I had at least five visits worth of horrible service during Xmas break 2011. However, I had two employees step up to REDEEEEEEM this place (picture Dumb & Dumber - "You've totally redeemed yourself.") Q is the customer service rep answering the phone line and she doesn't know much about the store lay out or appliances but what she does know she does well. She knew they dropped the ball with me and made sure to provide Excellent service thereafter. She will go and look for things or try and secure an answer for your question and not just sit idly by. GM Brian, and I know you're thinking he's the GM he should provide the best service....well not all GM's do. He admits fault; understands the need to take a bad experience and make a teaching moment and exceed expectations on service to correct the crap service. They have no idea how to run BBYmobile. Kudos for being staffed well but thumbs down on acknowledging people and not having a floater for when things get hectic. FYI: There's apparently a state law charging tax on FREE Phones. I would have done better ordering the phones online and having them shipped for free but it was for the parents. No one really works appliances as in there's not a dedicated sales rep for Appliances. Nope! Not even during Xmas rush. But this new HOT BUY promo was worth going in for and putting up with bad service to surprise the parents. All of my complaints were addressed appropriately via GM Brian. He followed up as stated and promised. He asked attentive questions and *BAM* delivered. He needs new floor leaders because I feel strongly that things shouldn't fall apart when the boss is away. And now I understand why BBY has a hard time capturing the elderly crowd. After the first 3 visits about the appliances...I felt like the elderly are correct in assessing 'those were just some young punks working and barely doing that.' read more

"Whatcha Got?".....the new greeting at Best Buy! I asked an associate wearing a Best Buy shirt if he worked at Best Buy because he was walking up the aisle ignoring customers with his eyes buried in his smart phone. His response, "Whatcha got?!" Is this the new Best Buy greeting. I replied "never mind", didn't want to fool with this employee. I did find a Geek Squad Mgr and she helped me. Before I left her, I alerted her to the "Whatcha got?" response I got earlier. She said that was just "his way". I asked her was his way the Best Buy way? Her response, it's just the way he is. I shared with her "how may I help" is a much better way, so is he untrained or unskilled? She said she didn't know, but thanked me for letting her know. Got the feeling she really didn't care. Too bad, great location, poor leadership, training or execution. That's what I got! read more

Bought a new TV April 10th, Pioneer 55in. Xumo 4k, when it was on sale for $199 and paid $219 tax included. 40 days later, long past Best Buys joke of a 15 day return policy, TV will not display anything on screen. Contacted B.B. and was advised to contact manufacturer and was given a number to call and have Pioneer fix it under the 1yr warranty. They don't work weekends and don't open until 10am during the week. Called, IVR prompt advises if calling about LCD TVs, must call _______ number for help. Called, found out it's a 3rd party support desk that BB uses to filter out repair requests. But instead..I was told that I needed to call the manufacturer at the 1st number I called to have repair scheduled. I rode this piss poor Mary go round of screw the customer a total on 3 times and was on the phone trying to explain my issue for 3hrs and 44 minutes on a Monday morning! By the time I got back around to phone number 2 person number 3 I was so far passed any ability to show kindness I must have scared Juan so badly that he actually told me without telling me to search in the product manual online and look at the warranty repair section and then ended the call. So I complied, read the information, threw notebook and phone across kitchen, jerked TV off wall, placed neatly in box it came in, qualified for pole position at Talladega on my way to Best Buy.The document stated all warranty work for the tv should be done through Best Buy and should be taken back to the store! How I could not have been told this bit of wisdom the first time I contacted them is unfathomable. Drag the crap tv across 90 degree parking lot like a dog that was being returned to the pound. Geek Squad was given PG-13 Run down of last 3 days. "No problem" the little shit replied, logged in the repair on their system. Was nicely told it would be 4 weeks before I got it back if they determine defective issue. WTF, R rated reply fell over his excuses blaming it all on me not purchasing the Geek Squad coverage when I bought the tv. To fast forward this horror story, 5 days since I dropped that 55in. pile of crap off, email stating they can't repair it and that I should return to store and tell them it will be a trade out. Got there, did just that, before I realized I was being bent over, dude hands me a damn B.B gift card for the sale price amount. They had the same TV in stock but was $30 higher now and these ass hats would not even swap it out and honor the price I paid. Of course there wasn't anything in stock that was close to that little gift card amount. Since I was stuck having to do business with this place, I picked out a different TV and had to pay the $70 difference! Will never walk my ass in that Blue building again, unless I get to throw this new TV at the Geeks to fix! Care about your customers a little longer than past the door when they are walking out and maybe you will have at least one less pissed off customer. read more

So where do I begin? I bought a stereo and was told that the harness etc was part of the free installation....sounded wrong but I was assured that this was the case. Show up to install appointment and the guy was extremely friendly and helpful....then he tells me it's going to be another $50 to install it, i said that the install was supposed to be free but the wiring the harness etc....yeah you gotta pay for that. Well I thought that the sales guy was wrong but I still felt lied to. Then he searches for the stuff.....sorry sir that model of vehicle requires online purchase items only. Please pay in advance $50 and wait 2 WEEKS for our slow as molasses shipping to get it to you then you can get it installed....thanks Best Buy....for nothing. read more

Nice people and helpful with price match guarantees. It's a huge improvement over a few years ago, when I would've given a 2 star review at best. Revised - after 18 months of great service, we had a horrible experience with dishonest employees and management that has no interest in resolving amicably. We now have to sue over the fraudulent behavior of the store. I hate to leave negative reviews but if I can protect one person, it's worth it. By the way, we have yet to have a problem at the Youree Drive location, so I'm not anti-Best Buy overall, even though their corporate office didn't care about our experience and a short Google search will find thousands of people who will never shop at Best Buy again. I suspect that if they ever get a large competitor, there will no longer be a Best Buy chain. :( Again - nice people on Youree - rude managers and dishonest salespeople at the Bossier City store. This has GOT to be one of the worst Best Buy stores around! I stopped shopping at the Bossier store a few years ago due to the poor/nonexistent service. Decided to try them one more time today...and nothing has changed. Employees everywhere, but they could care less if you buy anything or not. I was NEVER even spoken to! They lost a big sale today. I recently purchased a couple of items from BB and was pleased with the salesman that assisted me. However, a couple brought there dog into the store unleashed. While they were checking out, the dog came over to my location and sniffed around my legs and feet until I walked away. My complaint is that I informed two different employees about the unleashed dog and both of them said there was nothing really they could do. That was the last of my money to be spent at BB. read more

Went to set up a new Sprint account for an iPhone. I left after 2 hours with no phone, no contract and a $350 charge on my account that the manager said he couldn't get refunded, advising me to call the bank to contest the charge. An unknown error occurred while setting up my account and we were told by the rep that we would have to "back out" on setting up the contract because they didn't know how to resolve the error. This was after the down payment had already been charged to my account. Since the charge was from Sprint we were left high and dry by Best Buy and told we would have to resolve the charge on our own. While in the middle of setting up the account, the rep who was helping us (Kyle) actually took a personal call on his cell phone from his neighbor who was trying to find his roommate or something. I wanted to cancel my purchase with Best Buy, but David (assistant manager) provided the best customer service I've ever experienced since stepping into the store- he worked out something so I wasn't completely losing out and with that I decided to keep my appliances! Do not, repeat, do not buy a Sharp 70" Aquos LC-70TQ15U 70" television sold anywhere (we bought it at this Best Buy) without an extended warranty. This thing cost us almost $3,000 and it's a piece of junk. We bought our 70" on May 14, 2014, a mere 18 months ago, without an extended warranty because we made the mistake of thinking this was a high quality product. Baloney! The screen has a thin vertical yellow line near the left margin of the screen, and the Geek Squad at Best Buy (who we had to call because the television is out of warranty by six months, plus, the nearest Sharp authorized repair center is a three hour drive south of us in Louisiana), told us this is a serious problem -- the panel is defective, failing after only a year and a half! It will cost somewhere between $2,000 and $4,000 to repair, possibly more than we paid to buy it in the first place. Call Sharp and ask them to try to help, you say? Good luck on that. By some chance, if you don't buy an extended warranty on your television, Sharp isn't going to do anything at all for you except tell you that they're sorry they can't help you and to have a nice day. Also, before you buy any Sharp product, find out how close an authorized repair center is to where you live. Best Buy was no help. A satisfied customer tells five people they meet that they're happy with their product. An unhappy customer tells everyone who is willing to listen. Lesson learned. read more
