Went upon opening to get my gaming tower looked at. The woman working said it's by appointment only and that she wouldn't look at it, mind you I'm the only customer at the desk during this time. Whatever, I booked an appointment for another location. What was bothersome was the fact that after I drove 40 mins to the other location, the man working welcomed me in, looked at the tower, and helped regardless of the appointment. Why did I have to drive 40 mins away to have someone even look at the tower? Just save your time and pick another location to go to, respectfully. read more

Worst service ever from a box store. They could not figure out how to arrange an installation. They ended up scheduling 2 companies to come at the same time, then cancelled the installation completely. Then rescheduled a May installation for October. So the installation is still not done & I am out $129. Never use them. read more

From the Geek Squad to the floor employees, Best Buy Hyannis has literally everything you need if you're looking for appliances, electronics, Computers/Computer accessories etc. If you happen to find the product you're looking for at a cheaper price (at another retailer) they'll almost always price match in my experience. The Geek squad has professionals who truly know what they're doing and will resolve your questions/problems seamlessly. Highly recommend this store. read more

Rudest customer service. They are clearly there for the paycheck and not to work. I waited almost 10 min for one of three sales people to look up and help me. I was the only one in the computer section. They were too busy being on their phones to even look up and make eye contact. When I got a sales person to help me, he was rude and gave me attitude. Would not help with a trade in, and really did not want to get the desired color ipad out of back stock. He did a lot of grunting at me and threw the ipad down on the counter. He either answered my questions with one word, not at all, or pointed to the price. Never Again!! read more

I was assaulted by the general manager at Best Buy while trying to get my order. Well, he Claimed to be the general manager... I was cussed (sweared at) numerous times. Manager pushed his arm/elbow against me and intentionally tried slamming door with keys in it jamming my side and hitting my foot... because I said what the f word in regards to getting my order (not directly to her) the first girl that gave attitude and said I can't keep ringing doorbell. I waited like 10 min at least so I thought no one heard. This matter should be taken seriously! Joshua Muir not only kept using cuss words at me many times while he was telling me not to cuss. He cussed more than I did!! Also, physically assaulted me!! And tired telling me I can't go there when he can do much worse than what I did and he's a general manager!?! After heading to the store, the teenage employee was of no help, said they didn't have the order or the products. We arrived at Noon to get chargers for two small appliances and were told that we had to give our name to be placed in queue for service. After 15 minutes, we returned to the man who took our name and were rudely told that they'd get to us in order and that there were three others in queue ahead of us. There were many employees wandering about, but I guess few salespeople on the floor, which confused me. I did not like the attitude of the "door greeter" and no one went out of their way to help. Poor service means the business is suffering. Obviously, employees are instructed to act this way by the managment as no one would do this on their own accord. Avoid at all costs! Went in to purchasing a IPhone 16. No customers were there and 8 staff walking around. No one helped. The Manager, a bearded guy finally helped and decided between two staff who was going to assist me. He rejects the Geek Squad member in favor of a newbie with a negative attitude who didn't know how to transfer data from an older IPhone model. He told me incorrectly that I needed to leave the store and drive to Verizon to change the SIM card. I asked to use a phone to call Verizon to see if they were still opened. The Manager reluctantly agreed only to then have the sales person change his mind and say the visit was unnecessary. Then he says why don't I write down all my contacts in my phone they won't transfer. I am not a tech expert but what nonsense! He then changes his mind and says let me do the transfer. He does the transfer and it is still running for 30 mins. He says leave your phone on and sends me off without it completed. I lost ALL my data and spend Christmas at another Best Buy in Dedham with their geek squad on 3 appts to recover what little I could. Calendar completely missing. On three occasions I have purchased items at Best Buy (Hyannis). I always am greeted with a smile and "How May I Help You"? Most recently I needed help quickly, as I was doing errands the morning of BHS graduation. It was easy to explain to John the Samsung parts I needed. I was in and out in less than twenty minutes. I have had some extremely frustrating experiences trying to use Best Buy's online customer service. I have been disconnected from their 800 number multiple times, waited on hold for hours that I didn't have (while listening to the worst music EVER), and their chat is a joke. Most of the customer support representatives seem to rely on Google translate to communicate, which would be amusing if I didn't actually need help with real issues. I live an hour from the nearest store, which is why I don't go in person more often. I finally made the drive a month ago to take care of an issue that I could not get addressed through dozens of phone calls. I have to give 5 stars to the Hyannis location for their exceptional customer service. Cassidy in particular was very helpful in resolving an issue that I had with a previous purchase. She was thorough and professional in handling my issue, and even though it took a bit of time, I appreciated her attention to detail. She seemed to genuinely care about her customer's experience. Thank you Cassidy! I should also mention that while I waited for my issue to get taken care of I observed other members of the Geek Squad helping customers with the same integrity, and everyone seemed upbeat. Tried to make what would be about $1000 purchase and the guy in the cellular dept was very rude, abrupt and stressed. I am not sure if he was having a bad day and clearly was the only person working in that department. I'm sorry if they are short handed or you were having a bad day. The "greeter" at the front almost save the sale but after more frustration with the process I walked out. I purchased buyer protection they're saying you'll be covered if it breaks down we've got it handled for you. Well I wouldn't want to have anyone go through what I did this week . over the past year my iPhone hasn't been ringing when I get a call it goes directly to voicemail . I had contacted Att , Apple, and Best Buy no one could fix it it might work for a couple of days then stop . I went on CHAT with a Geek squad agent after being transferred numerous times i finally got a woman who realized I was so upset I can't have anyone call me back especially doctors who are trying to get me on their schedules . so the lady on chat finally gave me an ID number and said to go into Best Buy and pick up your free phone. I got there showed someone in the geek squad the message and he keeps scrolling backwards I said this is what is necessary and replied I can't do it that way he yanked my chain for an hour and I'm getting NO HELP so I went to find the manager he wasn't anymore help . actually rude after being there for 2 hours I walked out no energy left along with a broken back no one offered a chair I'm 75 . so I got on the phone to Apple today it took awhile first they said it wasn't the phone it was Att's problem I wouldn't accept that finally he realized it was a problem with the actual phone no sound on phone . Within 15 minutes I had my FREE PHONE coming tomorrow to me it wasn't free I worked hard to get it . I do not believe the Best Buy protection plan is worth the aggravation with Apple. not to mention the attitude of Best Buys staff no wonder there not doing well . read more

Geek squad is incompetent and wasted hours of my time. It took me over an hour to get someone on the phone to ask if I could ship my laptop for repair since I live 1hr away. I was told 'no', we can't do that. After driving an hour, I was greeted and said "I'm here here a repair. I have an appt at 1:40." The young Asian guy who greeted me then typed away on a computer for 10 minutes, helping two other random people who walked up with questions, and never looked at me a gain. I asked if he was going to help me and he replied "oh, I'm doing paperwork". HA! Thanks for the update. I go to the 2nd dope working there, and he tells me in about 30 seconds, "oh we can't fix this." Why didn't you tell me that on the phone before I drove 1 hour (2 HOURS ROUND TRIP)? "We like people to come in since it's easier.". It is easier to make me drive 2 hours instead of telling me on the phone "we can't fix this laptop". The service was so bad I was expecting a camera crew to jump out...but i wasn't on TV. I was just a victim of the morons at Geek Squad. read more

One of the worse experiences and customer service that my family and I have ever received. We placed an order on line and was notified that the product would arrive the the following day. We drove 2 hrs to pick up the product, once we arrived and waited at the customer service desk for approximately 10 minutes as staff members walked by without acknowledging us. I asked for help and was told to wait. Finally, someone approached us, I stated that we were there to pick an item that was ordered on line. After reviewing our order we were told that the product is not there and that they had no idea as to where the product was or when it would arrive. On my Best Buy email it clearly stated that it arrive next day but couldn't give me an estimate time, which was fine. After speaking to someone who claimed to be Mgr. He and the other staff member walked in the back. Upon coming I could the staff member that introduced themself as the manage say tell him to go on line and check for himself. When I asked what happened he sarcastically said to me the email states Estimated and do you understand what the word estimated mean? Needless to say this infuriated me and my family. I told them the email did say estimated but it also said the day it would arrive but not the time, which means the product could arrive anytime but on that day. For the second or third he said to me do you understand what the word estimated mean in the dictionary. After having an verbal confrontation with him, I decided to cancel my order, he angrily took my credit card and again asked if I knew what the world estimated mean and proceeded to cancel the order. I angrily responded with a few expletives. Before refunding me I was told that if didn't leave he was going to call security to have me removed. To make matters even worse I attempted to contact Best Buy by phone at least 5 times to file a complaint and was told that if I wanted to file a complaint I would have to drive another 2 hrs. To that location to speak to someone. This is what you call a WOW! we proceed to go to BJs where customer service was impeccable. read more

I bought a new TV but when it was delivered, the legs were too far apart so the TV wouldn't fit on a stand. The Geek Squad guys who delivered it told me about another TV that would fit. Then they drove all the way back to Hyannis to get it, then drove another hour to get it back here the same day. They were fabulous! A very very good reason to patronize Best Buy! read more

I reached out to the Geek Squad at this store (Best Buy Cape Cod) to inquire , inquiring whether they are able to replace batteries on MacBook Air laptop computers. As I live 40 minutes from that store, I wanted to make sure I would not be wasting my time by simply dropping in. The technician at the Geek Squad assured me they did, and set up a reservation to come in for service a few days later. . I showed up as scheduled, whereupon a Geek Squad member informed me, with apologies, that Best Buy does not replace batteries on MacBook Air laptop. Not only was it unacceptable that Best Buy gave me faulty assurances they could assist me, but it was further unacceptable that Best Buy did not have the good sense to examine the scheduled appointment and alert me to their error before I set out. My disappointment does not end there. In response to my e-mail to Best Buy reporting this issue, Best Buy simply said the "proper channels" would be informed in order to improve customer service in the future. No apologies. No effort to actually address my disappointment. Just a non-committal form letter with all the sincere expression of regret of a talking wall. I sympathize with Jay G. who writes about an almost identical disregard for customer service in his August 11 2020 review of Best Buy. My complaint and his are not simply the fault of a few incompetent members of the Geek Squad: they are the result of a rotten culture extending into the highest levels of Best Buy! read more

Horrific experience with Best Buy Delivery. First the delivery guys knocked down half my rhododendron tree with their truck and stepped over the branches without a word. Next they failed to install all the parts for the washing machine (they took them away). They failed to remove the large packing Styrofoam box under the washing machine drum which caused the machine to shake, squeal and stop spinning. I called the Geek squad and was on hold or 1.25 hours until i finally hung up. I called the store where I ordered the machine and they are not answering any of their lines. I drove 40 minutes to the store and was told they couldn't help. When I complained to the manager he took my name and number and said it would be handled that day. Never received a return call. After realizing the Best Buy would not respond i decided to try to fix the problem. I was unable to lift the heavy front loader so I jacked it up with a car jack and crawled under to cut out the Styrofoam. I am still missing the parts that are intended to reduce noise so I have used duct tape to try to reduce the noise. I am posting this as I have been unable to talk with anyone at Best Buy and have had no response to my online messages. Their recorded voice message calls me out by name as "an Elite Member". Well they can take me off that list! read more

Went to Best Buy yesterday and went to Customer Service and asked the guy a question and at the end of my question I asked " can you tell me why that is? " He looked at me with a blank stare and said why is what? I said "what I just asked you." He said what was that? Me, Huh? Went to get help with a modem purchase. Salesman was on his cell phone texting. I said , Excuse me could you help me with modems? He said yes. He continued to text until he felt like stopping. Stood there and watched him text. Went to the register to buy the modem. I asked the girl if this doesn't work out can I return it. She said I had 17 days to return. I asked what it stops working after 17 days? Well you can buy a 4 year protection plan. What if I don't want the 4 years. She said "I think you can send it back to the company. I asked "you think or you know?" Wow. ***read to the end*** would give 0 stars if possible!!!!!! The overall process with Best Buy's Geek Squad in Hyannis was extremely disappointing and frustrating. Every step of the way was horrendous, except the initial appointment with Agent Nick. He was great.  Other than that though, the agents were rude and disrespectful. I waited ridiculously long on hold while on the phone each time to speak with the agents and each time I finally got to a real person, it was someone new who gave me contradicting updates on my phone. In addition to providing contradicting information about my phone, I received attitude from the agents whenever I asked a question about it or asked to speak with the manager. The team made me feel like I was insane when in reality, the Geek Squad was wrong and made mistakes in every turn. The only insane part of this process was their lack of professionalism and treatment with clients.  Furthermore, I would like to inform that after getting my phone back, I went straight to an Apple Store who assured me that they have received multiple complaints from this Best Buy and wasn't shocked by my story. They ended up fixing my phone by sending it to their repair center and deemed my issue to be covered within warranty. The Apple Store offered to cover the $500 if the repair center came back with the same conclusion but luckily it did not come to that.  There was nothing helpful done by these people. Everything was incorrect and further angered me as this was already a stressful situation. Even getting my phone back from Apple after a week and a half of them holding it was conducted by myself. I personally had to contact Apple multiple times and figured out the return of my phone. This Geek Squad was horrific and rude during the return process as well. John, an agent, was quite rude when I picked up my phone and basically said that me going to the Apple Store was a waste of my time and that they were the experts- further making me feel like I was wrong.  I will NEVER be returning to this store and will be following up with Apple regarding a complaint about this Geek Squad. It is not in Apple's best interest to be connected with this store as they put all of the blame on Apple. After seeing how quickly and easily Apple got my phone fixed when I went directly to them, I full heartedly believe this Geek Squad was the issue. Very glad to never have to deal with them ever again. read more

I stopped at the store after doing another errand in Hyannis. I wanted to buy some wired ear buds for my iPad mini 6 today (11/17/22). I asked an associate in that department who picked up a small box from the display. Supposedly he checked on his iPhone to make sure they were the right ones so I was confident he knew what he was doing. Ha! They did not fit my iPad (they fit my iPhone 2020SE). Now I remember that he said "If they don't fit you have 15 days to return them." If I had been thinking I would have said something like "Aren't you sure they are the right ones?" but wasn't thinking. I live in Falmouth and it just doesn't seem worth it to run all the way over to Hyannis to return them. I will not be visiting that store again. read more

To say the least, this place has had its highs and lows with me over the years. An ex boyfriend of mine works here so I used to avoid this place like the plague, but recently I've started coming back to shop. Compared to about 4 years ago, this place is an absolute mess in terms of customer service. It sometimes takes 15-20 minutes for a representative to do THEIR JOBE and walk up to you & ask if you need assistance/would like to buy anything. No, I'm not exaggerating when I say 20 minutes. The employees purposefully try to dodge interacting with the customer for the most part, but there are a few gems scattered around that actually help, particularly the ones who work around the MacBooks and computers and etc. I've also found that in terms of necessity, this store has always had what I needed! But seriously--improve your customer service. I know you guys are a huge chain and don't NEED people to like you, but don't y'all want to see heaven? read more

Before I blast Best Buy in Hyannis, I need to say that the staff in the installation bay is amazing. Keep that in mind as you plan your trip here. Alright, now to the overall review... what a terrible Best Buy. Here is a recap, 1. The store has a decent selection but it is impossible to engage staff here. No one wants to help and the staff here doesn't know anything either. I went in to buy a hands free cell device for my wife's car. I asked a million questions and they still sold me the wrong item. 2. The staff here is unprofessional. They rather joke with one another about things like "male employees are better than women employees" which is incredibly annoying to me. 3. Good luck getting an answer when you call. I called over three days and finally got through on the third day. They told me that they would call me back, guess what, they didn't. The only redeeming factor was again the employee in the install bay. Although he was great, the staff in the store messed up the schedule and booked the employee a 15 minute slot for an hour and a half install. read more

Got it home and it did not work (battery in one of the ear pieces was not taking a charge). Tried to deal with Jabra support but they never responded to my ticket. If you wonder why mall stores are dying out and people are opting to buy their electronics online, take a trip to Best Buy Cape Cod. Yesterday was easily one of the worst experiences I have ever had anywhere. I knew which gaming laptop I wanted and I was prepared to make a pretty large purchase on my Best Buy credit card. I had called customer service and they had assured me that the store would price match,as I had found it hundreds lower on a site called Newegg. When I arrived, I went right to customer service and asked them if they had the laptop in stock (I preferred not to take my chances getting it delivered to my doorstep) and the rep said "I don't think we match Newegg anymore" and stared at the ad for a good five minutes before a short female with tattoos piped up from behind "Nope don't take them". When I explained there was a substantial difference in price, the rep told me "You can buy from them, then". He handed me back my phone. I told him they would lose my business and I was planning on using their credit card and he told me "that was fine with me". I proceeded to go outside the door to call Best Buy where a rep who barely spoke English attempted to find the laptop in their inventory. I easily read the description ten times, and she couldn't find it. In the interim, a group of kids were trying to leave the store while the associates raced outside to mean mug them and try to search them. They were minors. The associates seemed much more interested in chasing down kids at the mall than making a sale. One of the kids told them "I'm underage and you're not a cop, I know my rights". I went back in the store where I requested to speak to a manager (I was told by the cashier it was the closest thing they had to a manager, anyway) who was more polite than the previous customer service rep but refused to price match and told me to "get a name" from customer service because they no longer matched Newegg. He did try to help and find a competitor offer elsewhere but at the end of the conversation, the laptop was not in stock anyway and I'd be back at square one ordering it if I got it from online. I had wanted to use my Best Buy credit for the purchase but unless someone I loved was dying inside the store and I was their only hope, I would not go back to that store. Most of the associates are rude, and they don't care if you buy from them. I'm sure this store won't be open much longer. read more

I wanted a dishwasher they advertised at less than $600. But the salesman told me none of the less expensive models would be available for a long (indeterminable) time, so that is we wanted a dishwasher within a few weeks, we must buy the $790. model. Since I had paid for "Totaltech," which covered installation, which was otherwise $250, I decided to bite the bullet and buy this machine. But when the installer came, he said one wire used for the old dishwasher was not long enough for the new one. He would have to charge me $210 to lengthen the wire - nearly as much as an entire installation, for what I (a former electrician decades ago) estimate as a 20 minute job. So, to summarize, they advertized a machine to draw me in, then told me it was not available and they didn't know when it would be, requiring purchase of a more expensive machine, and then charged me for installation already covered by Totaltech, for which I had paid an amount greater than the standard installation cost, which now didn't even cover a few feet of wire. Total bill: double where I started after picking the machine I wanted from their online catalog. read more

We had a great experience with the Geek Squad on Cape Cod. I had professionally installed very nice wall-mounted plasma tv and in-wall and ceiling speakers that were now more than 12 years old, remote no longer working as we wanted, tv with composite connections and no hdmi, etc. We wanted to upgrade the tv and sound, add Roku and Apple TV, add streaming audio in separate rooms, better remote. We needed help to de-confuse it all. Called for a Geek consult, great results. Chris figured it all out, put together a proposal including some excellent sale prices, I added a few more wish-list things, he set up a date with the Geeks and they guided me through some reconfigurations with Comcast and finally Jason and Mark got us all set with a whole new suite of Samsung TV that we can now hear, voice remote, Apple TV, Sonos tied into my Amazon Echo, a new eero enhanced network. We're in AV heaven here. Best of all, the price for all the gear installed and set up was way better than we paid for the pro-install back in the day...plus we now have a 5-year "call us if you need us" sort of a guarantee. I thought I understood all this stuff, but now I know enough to know that we all need a few Geeks now and then! Best decision we made! Thx Best Buy. read more

Never in my whole entire life has been so mistreated by a guy called Nick (the sales manager)that I went only to talk about my computer that I bought a little over 30 days ago and it has a crack on the screen end it was supposed to be with insurance because that's what I requested their sales guy when I purchased but he didn't do it and apparently they cannot resolve any problem!
