I have an Apple iPhone 12 Pro Max, so I had the service guy look at it and determined it was only the iPhone plug. Believe it or not, they charged me $16 for a new one despite the several hundred dollars I spend on the system to purchase and have it installed. Does it make sense to anyone that they would charge ME for their defective cord rather than doing the right thing and replacing the iPhone cord? They not only lost a customer but what will this do for their reputation? Was it worth $16? Stay clear.

My convertible top wouldn't close all the way so he had me bring it down to at least get it closed and instead he opened the top and now it's jammed pretty bad. I had to buy a waterproof cover because it's been raining days and there's nothing I can do as far as driving it anywhere to get fixed. Dave refuses to help in anyway. I do not suggest using this company for anything. They don't guarantee their work and they honestly don't care at all. Pretty bad business I've never seen anything like it.

I wanted a starter as I never had such a convenience, but it didn't come with one as an option. The dealership had one installed from this outfit. Well they poorly installed it and brought it to my condo after about a week, but it didn't work. They tried to just dump my new car and leave, but I made them take it back. They brought it back again after about a week and it still didn't work. At this point I had just bought a new car and wasn't able to drive it for several weeks because they were dragging their feet with this project. The dealership lent me a car I am sure they would have rather sold. Why did it take so long? Benefit Auto got it right --finally-- on the third try, but my car dealer was so embarrassed by their incompetence and indifference to me that he waved all fees associated with the starter. He ate the cost. He (Brandon) told me he would never do business with Benefit Auto ever again. The clickers they gave me were obviously cheap compared to others I have seen and one of them fell apart after about a year. I managed to put it back together and it still worked. Every once in a while they would come apart and I would have to snap it back together again. Its a miracle they still worked. Apparently its just three pieces. The electronic guts, the button and the outer case. After three years I lost my keys so my Partner took the day off and drove my car all the way up there from Willimantic and got a new clicker/starter or remote or whatever you want to call it for our anniversary. The new starter ("Automate" Model 7116A) was obviously even more cheaply manufactured than the first and United Auto only gave us one this time. It was 3 weeks and three days exactly after purchase when the new starter fell apart. I actually have me dropping my keys on my security video. I just dropped them on the driveway as I fumbled with various items after getting the mail. I wasn't doing anything crazy with them. I could not find all the pieces this time. I got the guts and the outer case, but not the button. Benefit Auto would not mail me a new one or the missing part. The woman who answered the phone was flip with me. She just wanted more money, more money, more money. Benefit Auto does not stand by their shoddy work and they use inferior materials that are designed to break so you have to pay them more visits. Do yourself a favor and go somewhere else. We ordered new clickers (2) on the internet at a fraction of what Benefit Auto wanted to charge us (again) for just one. We will try to figure it out for ourselves. If we can't, I will warm up my car the old fashioned way rather than give these grifters even more of my hard earned money.
