if i could give 6 stars i could. i recently bought a laptop here and learned after i had brought it home it wasn't what i needed. So i go back (with no receipt) and go to the help desk, looking to exchange mine for one with more GB. There was an extremely helpful tall man who worked in the laptop area (that had actually sold me the first one) and he was like so chill and helped me pick out one that was more suited to what i wanted, now knowing more about what i wanted. He showed me plenty of options given my price range, starting with the ones on clearance (which i loved) and i found one. Then all hell breaks loose because i realize i dont have my receipt nor an email receipt. there was another lovely bleach blonde guy working in customer service that was dead set on finding my reciept in the system, along w the guy who was selling me the laptop. I felt like an idiot and they were so reassuring and kind and worked so hard to figure out which receipt was mine in their system, allowing me ti exchange the laptop for the one i wanted!! Again, i cant express how helpful and nice these guys were and considering i had no idea what i was doing, it really made the experience even more relaxing. I stop by the Best Buy in Citrus Heights occasionally to check Pokémon card availability, considering there tends to be a tent city outside of the store, and my experience has been pretty mixed. LOL! Sometimes they have a decent selection of Pokémon products, such as tins, ETBs, or booster packs, but other times the shelves are completely wiped out or have only a few items left. Restocks don't seem very consistent, so it can feel like a gamble depending on when you show up. There also don't appear to be clear purchase limits at times, which makes it easier for resellers to clean out stock before regular collectors get a chance. The store itself is clean and organized, and the staff are generally polite when asked for help. That said, I'm often pitched the Best Buy credit card and membership even after I've said I'm not interested, which can be a bit uncomfortable and takes away from the shopping experience. Overall, not a terrible store, just not very reliable for Pokémon cards. If you're a casual collector, it's worth checking while you're already there, but I wouldn't rely on this location for consistent availability unless restocking and limits improve. CONS: STOP pitching me with if I need a warranty, membership, credit card. Posted signs will do! Saying "Are you sure 2x, 3x is annoying as fk." And I am sure, I don't want any. LOL! If you need automotive installations, they have great pricing and good service techs. I brought my car in for a backup camera installation. I spoke to Darrell and Justin about dropping the car off early and they were both pleasant and professional to talk to. They kept me posted on certain wiring complications they ran into, but was able to get it to work. I was worried I wouldn't be able to pick up the car before the shop closed, but as long as Best Buy is still open, you can still get your car back. You don't have to buy your products from Best Buy in order for them to install it. read more

Then, a week later, they brought a broken washing machine... In store won't help you, they make you call the call center. After multiple phone calls and multiple hours on the phone, we now have to call a different number to talk to the "large product fulfillment resolution" center. This has been an absolute nightmare. My mother got her iPhone 13 battery replaced at the Citrus Heights Best Buy in January 2025. I felt comfortable recommending this option to her because they use Apple parts and her phone was not holding a charge. The store installed a new battery for her and, after multiple delays, returned her phone to her with a broken volume rocker. I spoke to the manager twice and we also spoke and brought it to Apple. If we had gotten the repair done at the Apple store they would have taken care of us and stood behind their rrpair. But the best buy store would not and they said they didn't do it. Apple said there's no way my mother could have damaged a volume rocker button by herself. I would NOT recommend ever getting an apple repair at Best buy for this reason they do not help if they damage your phone. $89 gone and a less than functional phone. read more

This review is for Apple users! I always used to come to this geek squad desk for help with my Apple products which I bought from them. But this location, you cannot get an appointment for if you need any help with an apple product apparently, they're no longer certified to work on Apple products. So I had to go all the way out to Folsom in order to for them to work on my iPhone. When I had called to try to make an appointment because I couldn't do it online the reps on the phone couldn't figure out why I couldn't make an appointment either. So I have to Folsom I went. One of the techs out there after a very long wait even though I had an appointment, told me about the certification. Absolutely ridiculous because the kid I got to work on my iPhone was not really familiar with iPhones and yet there's a lady at the citrus Heights store that knows her iPhones and I've phone products forwards and backwards and she's phenomenal. So the tech that worked on me in Folsom that's supposed to be at a certified Apple location. It took them well over three hours after my appointment time for me to be able to walk out with my working new to me phone. So yeah the citrus Heights one is now useless to me and I have to drive so much further to get any service for my Apple products. read more

Yesterday, 4/17 a refrigerator was delivered on time and with competence. So far so good. I soon discovered one of the delivery men has stepped on a lawn sprinkler and broken it. I HAVE SPENT ABOUT 8 HOURS ON LINE, TEXTING AND IN STORE PERSON VISITS since then with no contact from anyone who can assist me or even tell me how to file a claim. I bought a GE open box refrigerator from Best buy, looked it over saw the minimal damage. When the refrigerator arrived all the shelves were broken, glass everywhere inside. Went back and with my credit from the first refrigerator I paid for a brand new GE refrigerator. When the second one arrived, one of the doors was dented up. Customer service called and scheduled a THIRD delivery. The THIRD refrigerator arrived all seemed well. Three days later the refrigerator alerted me the water filter had a leak. When I opened the filter compartment it was full of water. Technicians came out and told me it was a defective refrigerator. Now I am waiting for my FOURTH refrigerator delivery!! Hopefully they get this one right. We are going on week 3 of can they deliver what I paid for!! I will never buy another appliance from Best Buy. read more

This place is great if you need to just get your things and go. Great variety of products, standard prices, insurance on goods that is acceptable. The main thing to worry about here is the service. I don't mean to say that anyone is mean; while once or twice I've seen staff get snippy I do not consider that to be common. Upselling is pushed very hard at this store, to the point where it can be uncomfortable at best and distressing at worst. I can only figure that some employees get commission pay; if you want something on the lower end they will try to direct you up. Understandable, they are a business and that is somewhat to be expected. It is just taken to a bit of an extreme here. The main positives here are the great variety, and that the staff has good knowledge. If you can be very specific in what you want and avoid caving on a pricier item, you can walk out of this store very happy. read more

We bought two Apple watches online. The one that was to have a midnight black watchband showed up with a white band; the online instructions told us to go to our local Best Buy store. The manager there said he wouldn't do anything, because there was a third-party seller involved. So, despite it being a sale on a Best Buy web site, he couldn't even manage to replace the wrong watch band. That is as bureaucratic and unhelpful as it gets. read more

We've stopped into this Best Buy a few times for odds and ends. We've had a few house projects we've been working on and along with that comes technology needs. The latest visit was to get some HDMI cords that were wall safe so that we could mount our TV. I didn't even know there were cords that were specifically safe for wall mounting. When we've stopped in the store has been clean and easy to navigate and the staff has been friendly. Usually when we hang out in a section long enough someone will come by to check on us. A lot of the time we'll do our research online and only come into the store when we want to see something in person or need something quickly. read more

Came here yesterday to purchase an Xbox controller since mine is on its last leg. Saw a great deal, so I thought it was. It was clearly marked $24.99 for a wireless version which I preferred. Went to the counter to get rang up and was told it was $59.99 told the person that it was marked for a lowered price. This employee continued to make excuses like it was mid-placed, some customer put it there, the tags should've been updated and so on... the problem with his excuses is just that.. excuses. There were at least 15 controllers in one spot, so are you trying to tell me that a person went ahead and moved those controllers to the $24.99 isle? Did a customer do that? Some random person had a price gun and marked it down? Or did the sale end? And you forgot to put the right price back? I still could've bought the controller but this person was very rude and combative, maybe instead of making excuses, try to make solutions or apologize for the misunderstanding. I would give them negative stars if I could! Their service was beyond horrible, and their prices absurdly high!! After receiving insultingly bad sales service I waited in line for 10 minutes to try and make a purchase. The store had only one sales register open, and there was only one clerk in the front of the store. The clerk wasn't able to run her register because she was instead running a credit check and explaining the terms of a new credit card loan she was issuing to another customer. I eventually gave up waiting and left the store empty handed. I then went to Wal-Mart where I found a better quality product, payed half as much, only waited in line for 1 minute, and was served by courteous and smiling clerks. On Thursday I stopped in and purchased the latest season of Game of Thrones since I missed the season finale and a Laser Lens Cleaner to clean my Blue-ray Player that has been skipping whenever my toddler wants to watch one of her shows. You put the disk into your Blue-ray, DVD or CD player, follow the woman's instructions, music plays as the little brushes clean and you're done in minutes! It's as simple as that! I went into Best Buy to purchase a complete desktop computer system. The salesman told me "everything was 15% off" and we started shopping. I had about $3500 worth of product at the counter he printed out my tag and handed it to me and it said the discount was only 10%. I asked him what was up with that and he went to get his manager. This sad excuse for a manager came over and said "that sale went off yesterday" and walked away. I didn't need that 5% discount but it was a matter of principle and I told him to cancel the order. He went back to the manager and she came back over and said "write it up and I'll take an additional 5% off. Why didn't she say that the first time? Her sloppy managerial skills were over-the-top and I told them to just cancel the whole order. The salesman asked me about a Best Buy credit card-I gave him information for that but after the deal fell through I told him to cancel that as well. Long story short... I got a hit on my credit that lowered it 60 points-yes 60 points and I didn't even have a credit card. I tried to get to the corporate office on the phone and the IT voice wouldn't let me through. Recently bought a mint condition older car. Needed a new sound system but was apprehensive having installed by a big box retailer. Went to the store and some concerns were alleviated and set an install appt. Two installers reached out before hand and were very thorough with one of of them owning the same car I bought. They really went above and beyond and could not be happier. The attention to detail and customization far exceeded expectations. Would not hesitate using the installers at this location again and have already referred. I had touch screen, back up camera, front and rear speakers and a compact sub installed. I have frequently shopped Best Buy. Made major purchases, utilized the service of geek squad. I had great overall experience until recently. Product line remains strong. The thing I find appalling, and uncalled for, is how store associates push additional sales. Particularly extended warranties/protection plans. Had a terrible experience with a associate by the name of Robel that was extremely pushy. Absolutely no tact. Perhaps further training should be considered for staff, to ensure a good customer service experience. Best Buy has completely LOST my business. 2 stars becaude it's a good radio, but I feel I was the victim of a bait and switch. I bought a Sony radio and the installation kit for my Honda Pilot, because it said "Satellite Ready." No one at Best Buy said that it was "Satellite Ready", only if I also bought the Sirius XM satellite receiver which attaches to the back of the radio. That was *ANOTHER* $70 on top of the radio. Not only that, but while the radio came with "Free installation", I again had to pay another $40 *EXTRA* to have the satellite receiver attached to the back of the radio. Again, nobody told me that. I spent a lot more than I expected, on what I thought was a decently priced radio. A $99 radio, after taxes, installation kit, the extra receiver, and the additional installation labor fee, cost me almost $250. Not exactly a bargain. Then, I had to travel almost an hour to the best buy store in Auburn, because they didn't include installation of the satellite radio receiver in my original labor order, *AFTER* we had the discussion about the additional equipment. I showed up for my appointment at the Natomas store, and the guy said he didn't have the time do install the radio *AND* the receiver. Fortunately, somehow, they had a same day labor appointment in Auburn, because getting an appointment with these guys is next to impossible. Be careful what you buy from these guys, they won't give you all of the information. One other thing... The radio that I got from Best Buy was not complete. The box did not include the remote control that comes with the radio. Fortunately, I provided proof of purchase to Sony, and they sent me a remote. Stay away from these guys.....l read more
