This is the worst store i've been to...I understand staffing is hard to find nowadays, however there should be a better training program on how to handle customers! Especially the verizon area or the "phone department " My husband and I had a horrible experience! Ben and the other female supervisor were unprofessional, rude and completely disrespectful....We attempted to purchase a phone and the new hire accidentally did something to mess up the purchase...4 hours later still nothing resolved ...During this whole experience not one manger asked what was wrong or if they could assist ...Had to come back next day, was completely ignored by the female employee and Ben ...Needless to say I was at my limit of rudeness ...After being ignored for over 30 mins, finally got phone....My experience was not exciting or informative!! We bought a TV and paid to have it installed in our bedroom. However, the technician did not connect the TV to our network properly. As a result, we could not watch the programs we wanted. We asked Best Buy to send out a technician to fix the problem, but they refused, even though we have a Geek Squad contract. Consequently, we had to return to the TV to the store. read more

1 out of 5 stars is not what they deserve. It is to high of a scale for this location of Best Buy. Here let me request service on a product they don't have on site. Okay, yeah I get that they don't carry specific parts on hand. Although proceed to bill me before the part is even provided or installed. Then proceed to hold my phone until the device I already pained for arrives? Then days go by no updates nothing. I already payed for the service that was not provided. On top of that I had to disable the security tracking monitoring and tie it has to me. Then a few days later I find a way to call the store on another device and nobody picked up the call. read more

Shop around! Went in to buy a tv, and they refused to price-match, then tried to charge me an extra $50 for a pedestal mount in addition to the $150 installation fee. Then they didnt know how to set up payments, and it took 20 min. to remove the charge they made to my credit card. The sales clerk and customer service rep did not know what they were doing at all. Geek Squad: They kept emailing I needed to reschedule, once because they said they had no mount--I told them there were boxes of them in the store! They then emailed twice more--within 2 days--to reschedule because they didn't have the tv. The third email I canceled everything--the same tv is cheaper at Walmart, and the same mount is $60 cheaper at Target. Best Buy is not where you want to shop. read more

I hate going into the store. It's fine if you know what you're looking for but if you're seeking assistance, good luck. Every time I go in here, it's either difficult to find someone on the floor or just as you attempt to flag them down, they're walking away to another part of the store or through the doors to the back room. For example, I recently went to look for a specific type of gift card related to PS5. I looked all around the store for it as there are gift cards spread throughout that side of the store. When I went went to look for someone to help me, there was one person already assisting another customer. No one else to be found except for the people in mobile phones and several people doing the geek thing. Now when at least two male workers passed by me (I'm a woman) never once did they ask if I needed assistance; however, when the one male worker walked by a male customer, he asked the man if he needed any help which I found rather strange. Even though I went up to several people and they either walked away or were busy, I had to go all the way up to the front to a cashier. Three cashiers were standing around talking and it took at least a couple of minutes for one of them to notice I was even standing there. Then I asked him about the gift card. He said to go back to where I already was and there would be one but didn't actually know if they had it. So I went back there and didn't find it. He had also said that somebody would come and help me but no one ever did so I flagged another person down only for them to tell me they didn't sell that product and I should go to gamestop. So I went to GameStop, found it, had no problem, employee was super nice. In conclusion, this Best buy has been terrible with customer service since forever. Very rarely do they know about their product, nor the interested in volunteering to help you. I would guess it has something to do with poor management. Two stars because they're probably understaffed but I was still snubbed by male workers to help out male customers, so pretty crappy. read more

I scheduled an appointment through the service app on my iphone to have my battery replaced. I planned my day around this appointment and drove 40 minutes to the store only to be told the only authorized iPhone technician was leaving soon and wouldn't have time for my phone today. Out of curiosity, I asked what the point of making an appointment was and the response from the employee "apple doesn't know our schedule." Employee said I could leave my phone overnight and pick it up in the morning if I was OK with that? ABSOLUTELY NOT! What a giant waste of time. Won't be back to this store. read more

This Best Buy was a in a difficult to find location and when I got there it was about half the size of of a normal best buy, less size, less inventory, less options. The didn't have anything that I was looking for. the employees were rather lackluster in their enthusiasm to assist me as well. if i'm in Forsyth again I might go to this one again but given the option I would rather patron the Best Buy in Champagne. read more

Wow these guys go out of their way to be helpful!! Buying then returning a Jitterbug phone for my Mom was a real goat rope (Jitterbug people) but the helpful associates at Best Buy Forsyth, IL really tried to ease my pain....After discovering that the extremely poor quality of the Shhh Jitterbug and exchanging it for another ...only to find out that it was the flip phone model not anything Best Buy could control. They set us up to buy another flip phone and helped with the cell phone # porting process (extremely slow on the Jitt side) Very patient to pleasantly explain the process to both Mom and myself. My complaint is that their selection of accessories for wearable technology was quite POOR for the Fitbit Charge 2! Been in the store before & there were lots of choices. Don't know if I hit them on a bad day,but the only choice I had was LEATHER or LEATHER for a new wristband. No metal bands and I have seen them there before. The staff seem friendly but when I took my laptop to get checked out the Geek squad member only looked/spoke to my boyfriend who was with me. It was extremely rude and misogynistic. They also said they couldn't do anything because I didn't have a warranty with them, however, turns out I did have an apple warranty and it would have taken five minutes for them to look that information up and save me a whole day of stress and trouble. Anyone who is having computer troubles should go to Decatur Computers Inc. they helped me right away and once they found the warranty they did not even charge me for the visit. read more

We recently purchased computers at Best Buy. My computer had stopped working, and I needed data to be transferred from the old one to the new one. They quoted a price, which I thought was reasonable. After making an appointment to have the data transfer done (several days out) I took my computer in and specifically asked to not have ANYTHING added-as it was a work computer under security clearances. When I got the computer back, I expect to see my good old screen, with the familiar icons. Instead, I got a geek squad icon that popped up and all of my files were renamed with geek squad attachments. I called customer service and the rep was not helpful at all. I asked for Corporate number, which it turned out, he gave me a store in another state. When I contacted that store, the manager was extremely helpful, provided corporates number and suggested I did not take it back to the store I purchased. He did suggest I contact them to get a refund. Upon calling the original purchasing store manager had an indifferent attitude, insisting that I bring it back in. At this point, I had lost faith and trust in the outfit. I only gave it a two star because the sales rep, who sold me the computer was helpful and knowledgeable. He knew the products, what their capability's were and directed me to the perfect computer for my needs. read more

I don't normally write reviews, but after the really rude and condescending behavior from management in the Geek Squad area I felt I needed to. It even got worse when I asked to speak to the manager. I think his name was Mark. He basically told me I was too "old" to understand how computers work. Seriously? That's not customer service. The guy should not be allowed to talk to people with his attitude. And the day I was there he was dishing out plenty of it, not just to me. Wouldn't even give it one star if I didn't have to. I have had problems with this store and their customer service before, but decided to give them one more try. I ordered an item that was shipped to the store. I paid for the item when I ordered it. Received an email and a phone call saying it was in and to pick up at my convenience. This was on a Thursday evening. Saturday morning I drive, 30 miles, to pick up the item and it is nowhere to be found. Even worse, the two employees acted as if they could care less. One was basically indifferent, the other actually had an attitude with me. What a joke. I cancelled the order and am done shopping here. If my business means that little to them, I don't care to ever use this store again. Funny thing is I was going to buy a Mac Airbook there today, which is not cheap.
