I've been working here since Nov. 2025 & the store is absolutely horrible & the managers treat staff like shit. I have Autism & Anxiety & was hired to work in the gaming/mobile department, everything was fine until I mentioned that socializing for a long time overwhelms me to the point where I vomit from the stress (ever since March 2025). I asked for accommodations in February & it took them 3 months to move me to front registers, where it's less stressful for me. Once I got my "accommodations", my hours were cut drastically. I went from almost 30-40hrs in February & March-- down to 11hrs every 2-3 weeks in April & May. The managers (Mo & Natalie) basically blame me for asking to move. I'm incredibly depressed, stressed & burnt out. The managers make it out as if it's my fault or that it's a personality thing, as to why I struggle with socializing with customers for extended periods . My bills & rent have been/are late because of this & all 3 managers ignore my texts/pleas for more shifts. Even though the managers refuse to schedule more people to work (to quote one manager, Staci "If we schedule more people, those extra staff will be standing around with nothing to do!") Turns out-- "competitive pay" means employees have to fight & struggle for the bare minimum ($15/hr doesn't mean shit when staff barely have money to pay rent). Unless staff have "high performance" aka shoving BB Memberships/Credit cards down customers' throats, the managers WILL NOT GIVE YOU HOURS, EVEN WHEN SHORT STAFFED (Due to "allocated hours") The managers don't like that I'm not overly aggressive with pushing memberships, they also accuse me of "weaponizing" my Autism because I limit how much I socialize with them (I say hi, help them if they need it & remind them I can check inventory if customers need anything) The managers also don't train me in my departments thoroughly or consistently, but get upset when I'm doing something wrong. They don't wanna take the time to train me hands on. When Staci asked me to be trained on other departments for extra shifts, I agreed. She then backpedaled, quote "I can't offer hands on training right now" A couple weeks later, Mo offered me training in the warehouse, I agreed & 30min later-- Mo backpedaled. She said she only offered that because she was frustrated with me. I hate working here-- HR is dogshit, many of the broken/missing displays still aren't fixed & even if you sell a lot of warranties-- unless you attached a credit card or membership, managers will ignore you, not acknowledge your efforts & trick you into thinking they care. The minute you can't perform-- expect the cold shoulder The only highlight of my day are the customers; they're all wonderful & some have even comforted me when I've visibly cried at the front register. All of you who shop here have been the sunshine on the stormy day that is my crippling depression. There are no positive incentives for working here, it's just "I have to push this crap or I can't pay my bills", we don't get extra commission for each credit card/membership customers get-- just the "privilege" of getting more work & more shifts. Best Buy only values you if you make them money, doesn't matter if you're like me & just wanna help people & be courteous. Also, the store has rats/mice. Multiple snack packages have been eaten into & there's animal turds in the shelves by the snack boxes. The managers have known about this for a while possibly, according to my coworkers (who have also mentioned & addressed this to management). But nothing gets done about this-- customers, CHECK YOUR SNACKS & WASH YOUR HANDS!! I'd hate for any of you guys to get sick or worse. Take your money somewhere else, Best Buy's benefits aren't that great compared to other stores. Aside from getting discounts on open box items (which you could get cheaper somewhere else new & with genuinely good perks). I scheduled a paid iPhone 14 battery replacement through Apple for this authorized service location. My battery health is 82%, and battery life is now impacting daily work use. I do not have AppleCare, which I understood was not required for a paid replacement. I arrived on time and was seen promptly, but after running diagnostics, I was told: Battery health must be below 80% The phone must be under 30% charge The cost would be $79.99 They would not replace the battery because I do not have AppleCare and "Apple would not allow them to" When I pointed out that Apple sent me here, the response was, "Yes, they do that. Sorry." This appointment should never have been scheduled if the service could not be performed. The lack of transparency wasted time and travel and reflects poor coordination with Apple. Didn't have good experience at this Best Buy . I called just to ask if they had a product in stock because I was already on my way there. The employee kept asking for my card information over the phone, and I told him I'd rather just pay when I got there. After that, he thought he hung up and started talking badly about me saying I wasted his time just for calling and asking a simple question. That is so unprofessional and rude. Because of Andricks hard work. Truly and singularly. Long story short. You broke something and didn't take accountability. Do not allow them to upsell you on geek-squad there is no desire to assist you Short story long, I brought my pc in for a diagnostic, I set an appointment and was told of the phone it would be 40 dollars. I got in and it was 100 dollars, the reason being the center you set your appointment through has nothing to do with the store you're going to. Though it is both set up via Best Buy I accepted this and instead of paying the 100 I got a membership to geek-squad. I did this after asking a few questions like 1 of them being I could bring my pc in whenever and the would take care of any of my tech related needs (including keyboard cleaning) so they sold me on the up charge and I left my pc with them I instructed them to do no work without 1st contacting me and they told me I could watch the pc progress through the app The app never updated once, I came in after a few days looking for answers and how lucky for me my pc was ready for pick up. Not only was I never called nothing was wrong with it in the 1st place, they had checked everything I needed checked and there was not a problem to be found. Though I insisted, I was told not to worry they redownload all the drivers and ran all the test. Probably just a faulty driver, they even told me which one they knew it was. Well that didn't last as I was back in the next day with the same exact problem. This time I spoke to a manager and was assured they would do everything they can to assist me. After running test it ended up being my graphics card and it's a critical failure now. Unfixable. I accept this and say not much can be done. I was frustrated at the exchange but you can't control these things. So I got a 200 dollar replacement for the time being and had them install it and went to pick it up. Except when I was handed my old graphics card it was visible damaged on the power connection, when I asked about this the tech was very concerned and made a lot of notes and statements about that couldn't have been them (though throughout the process of testing this hardware on 2 separate occasions it wasn't noticed.) it was not broken when I gave it to them and now it was, on top of that now it's critically failed and unfixable. So I come back another day and state that I think they should do something about it. I'm not looking for anything crazy but I figure if it wasn't broken the 1st time and now it's broken the 2nd and you're the only people who have ever handled it you're the only people who could have damaged it. So I am given a number to call and I call it, the Best Buy costumer support line informs me that the store has put down that it was received damaged (in none of the paperwork or conversations I've had with them) and that the store must claim it there fault for something to be done. On top of that brought my keyboard in for a cleaning and "they don't do that" even though I specifically asked before purchasing the service. So they took it in and legit cleaned the dust off it and didn't remove a single key. Lazy work I was really chill about the whole process and the multiple days without my pc and even the damage. Though this is too much to stand for a blatant lie and injustice. I will pursue this as far as I have to. Really disappointing that you would allow such behavior. Now I get to waste even more time on this issue that should have been resolved by basic human decency. Accountability is the best course of action but you had to lie. Shame. . I'm ready to pay but the clerk wouldn't honor the advertised price. Upon requesting he talk with his manager, the manager came back and he wouldn't honor the advertised price either, using some broken sku machine excuse. I requested again to have the price honored but he still refused. I said ok, and started walking out, and as I was walking away, the manager had the gall to sarcastically wish me to have a good day. *** RISK TO FAMILY SAFETY / FIRE HAZARD INSTALL*** First off, our sales rep was amazing. Staci really went out above and beyond to provide wonderful customer service. She kept us up to date on the delivery of the product, the site visit, and the install date. She has also helped funnel the information about our situation to the right people to ensure management is aware. On the other hand, the contractor assigned for the installation has caused major damage to our house. Recently had an oven installed and it did not go well. The oven smoked up the house, the contractor left paper attached to the oven, damaged the wall, and shoddy wirework. The installation is a fire hazard and not up to code. The contactor damaged the stovetop and oven when tampering with the wiring. They are both a fire hazard until electrical and drywall are repaired. The unit was damaged upon installation. The contractor wired it incorrectly and the oven smoked and popped. He pulled out the oven and redid the wires but the damage had been done. He said BestBuy will cover the replacement. How could he leave the job knowing this could be a fire hazard and compromise the safety of the family? It's upsetting to think the house could have burnt down because of the faulty installation, injury, or death to the customer/family. The unit is on backorder until July. We (a family of 4) need to figure out how to make meals while we wait for repairs and the replacements. To file a claim we have to process it with Sedgwick Claims Management Services. It took a week calling multiple times a day to get contacted. I did eventually get an email but be ready to deal with a slow process. I am awaiting a response and would like to work toward a resolution. Given the risk involved and damages, we never received a call from store leadership with genuine concern and apologies for our inconvenience. read more

Bye bye bestBYE! I will never buy from you again! The extended warranty is a scam and waste of time and $. You pay the $180 a year for free labor and parts. This only covers one year after manufacture warranty. Plus you have to pay a $50 to $100 service fee for them to come look at device. Because they don't look at appliances if you take them into the store. You schedule an appointment 3 days out and take a day off work because they won't let you take the appliance into the store. I know because I took my microwave in and they refused to look at it. They said I have to schedule a service call. Then they email you the day before the scheduled appointment to say they have to reschedule you. So I paid 2 years X $180 a year and $50 service fee for a microwave that cost $400. Here is what happened after the technician got to my house. He opened the microwave. He took a couple pictures of the -SE_ code that was shown, (the same code I told them the day that I called to make the appointment. Then he said he needs to go all the way back to the store to see what the code means so they know how to fix it. I MEAN SERIOUSY? You knew the code before even sending the guy out. NOW, my girlfriend took two days off for them to reschedule one day then come for 10 minutes, take pictures and leave. Now they rescheduled us for Aug 1st to come out and supposedly fix it. ANOTHER DAY MY GIRLFRIEND HAS TO TAKE OFF WORK TO BE AT THE HOUSE... All this could have been taken care of at the store when I drove it over there. I ordered an "open box" 75" Television with curbside pickup from them. I noted a couple of things many people should know: 1) If they have to lay the TV down in your vehicle, lay it an angle, or any position other than upright, they no longer allow you to bring it back if its broken. 2) When it says "open box" there is usually an accompanying message with it. It will say "excellent" or "good" or "fair. The level tells you what may be missing. In my case it said excellent and the only issues was a light scratch. The light scratch was practically invisible, but I was extremely disappointed to find out the TV had no plug and this was not clarified in the description. I ended up ordering one through Amazon, but it is a learning experience they may not tell you the whole story on an open box item. Best Buy's floor layouts are always mapped like winding mazes but at least there's an associate every five feet looking to offer some direction. I'm signed up with the gaming program, something like $20 a year gets your 20% off gaming purchases for 12 months, so I'm here every time there's a big game drop. Worst service I've ever received from any store! I can confidently say that I will never do business with Best Buy again. I was scheduled to have a washer/dryer delivered between 3:00 PM and 7:00 PM. Online, it showed 7:00 PM, then updated to 7:30 PM, and then to 8:00 PM. At 7:54 PM, I received a call from the driver stating it would be another hour. At 9:16 PM, I checked online and saw that my delivery was marked as completed. I quickly called the number I had been contacted on earlier and was informed that Best Buy had canceled my appointment and that I needed to reschedule. So after waiting 2 hours "after" my initial delivery time Best Buy just up and cancels my appointment without notice! I understand it's Christmas time, but the lack of communication, time wasted as well as future inconvenience has me livid. I attempted to call customer service a few times throughout the day but hung up after being on hold for over 30 minutes. Update: 2 days later and after speaking & corresponding with several Best Buy employees I still haven't been able to get the washer/dryer delivered at a convenient time. They have all been pleasant but are evidently powerless. I just want this done and delivered so I never have to deal with Best Buy again. Two weeks ago I went to Best Buy, Selma to learn more info about the new iPhone to determine which would fit my needs. I found "Isiah" an amazing sales rep. Answered all my questions and continued to help me until all purchased. Never made me feel like less than an intelligent buyer and I was his only client. Then came a small issue in transferring the data on my previous phone.....this too way too long but not a Best Buy issue and at that time I was turned over to Niah and Melvin. These two guys worked diligently for "hours" to make sure all my data transferred and was available immediately and I was satisfied with my purchase. There were several managers also that helped but these 3 guys were so much help, I must give them the 5 Start Rating and wish other customers the same feeling I had. read more

I made a phone call to Best Buy to get a service call from the Geek Squad for the sound system on my friend's TV, which she purchased a year ago. She is elderly and too nervous to this herself. I was on the phone for 30 minutes and never got an appointment. They needed an order number on the sound system which she did not have. I think it is totally unprofessional that Best Buy would not set up an appointment for this repair without this number and even more unprofessional that they sold the product and did not retain the information. Neither of us will be shopping at Best Buy and would not recommend it to anyone. You will get terrible service! read more

Ansolutely the WORST store for customer service I have EVER been in. Tried to find a wireless keyboard for my mac. Asked one lady for assistance and was told that she knew nothing about keyboards. I asked if she could find someone to help me and she said she would look in a minute as she was busy with something else...curbside I think. The keyboard display was totally messed up with inaccurate labels and who knew what prices. I asked another employee for help and was told I would have to stand in line at the Customer Service desk and then a "specialist" would help...when available. I marched out, fuming. Best Buy sold me a new stove online and gave me a delivery day. However, the first date was cancelled by them just hours before it was to arrive. I had already gotten my old stove out and the space cleaned. They told me the reason was that this particular stove was CBN out of stock at their warehouse!!! So WHY did they set a date before they had the stove in stock? My stove did arrive 3 days later but was delivered and "installed" by a third-party company contracted by Best Buy. The installer spoke no English and cut his hand on the stove (gloves would be more professional). The other deliverer (just seemed to drive the truck and unpack) asked me if I had a bandage for him!! (They don't carry a First-Aid kit?). Anyway, I ran upstairs and finally found one. But supposedly the install was done. He showed me that the stove's burners all worked as they were all turned to high and red. He turned them off and they left. Oddly enough they didn't even have me sign anything stating that the stove had been delivered! He had just plugged it in but did not place it correctly up against the wall. He had also not bothered to place the back left foot of the stove inside the brace required by law that is fastened to the floor! On Bestbuy's website it explains how this is required. Unfortunately, I did not notice any of this until they had left. Now I cannot get the stove pushed up to the wall in the correct position as I am elderly and only 5' tall. I looked behind the stove and can see that the long 220V electrical cord is coiled up on the floor and prevents the stove from going any further! I called Bestbuy to send the installers back but they say the delivery is not yet in their system as the (lazy) installers haven't updated the delivery and it shows still "in transit". So now Bestbuy says they cannot send a technician back to install it correctly for at least 24 hours when it should be updated in their system. BUT THEN I will need to wait until they have an opening!!! This is OUTRAGEOUS! I have purchased many new appliances, furniture, etc. BEST BUY HASCTHE ABSOLUTE WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE OF ANY OF THEM!!! read more

I recently purchased a pc at this location on January 6th ,2025 around 3:03 pm. One of the nearby sales representatives offered to assist me with purchasing this product. He gave his personal advice about a 60-day protection plan but instead of only providing a product protection plan like he stated, he decided to add a best buy plus membership without my knowledge. Which is considered Fraudulent upselling. Again, he not only said he would add a product protection plan which was $62 he added the membership which was $49.99 and claimed the protection plan was 49.99 flat. There was no receipt I could check until after the purchase was made. During the transaction I decided leasing on the product was more financially reliable. Progressive was the available leasing route, but they had issues as well. After an hour of difficulties including the leasing schedule being lied about, the payments getting rejected due to a faulty website, and customer service ignoring my statements and forcing me to "check with my bank" first. They finally settled with a leasing schedule for my product. The schedule I agreed to was A onetime monthly payment and throughout the conversation he kept saying yes when I would repeatedly ask to ensure it was once monthly. After receiving my scheduled payment plan, I realized they incorporated a semi-monthly payment plan. Two weeks after purchase on January 20th I called progressive to change the payment schedule to extend the lease and make the payment once monthly but they notified me they were unable to do this request. They gave another option of paying it within 90 days so I can remain paying the advertised in-store price of $1,049.99. But with leasing the way it was originally assigned I would've been forced to pay $2,426.66. In the store during my experience the guy there kept reassuring me and telling me everything I wanted to hear with leaving many facts and details out that were important. But other than these various complications the pc is amazing and works very fast and efficiently. But be very cautious when purchasing from this location they with upsell fraudulently on "protection plans", lie about leases, and they lack in detail-oriented communication. I hope the manager finds this message and checks cameras to speak with the individual, I would've left the name of this falsely rewarded person, but I do not remember the name nor see it on the receipt. We came here in search of usb microphones for my brother, after we did our research and such. We saw that this Best Buy had one in stock and we were going to Costco nearby and was going to be in the area. We were approached by a couple of employees asking if we needed help, but we did not want any help. We found the microphone we were looking for, however, the only and last one was damaged. As an individual who worked in retail, with recent prior management experience, I assumed they would take care of their customers and at least, knock off some percentage. So we nicely asked the cashier checking us out if she'd be able to see if we could get a discount for the damaged box; she confirmed it was the last one and even told her manager the box was damaged. He denied the damaged discount over the radio and proceeded to come up to the register. He denied us in person as well and said the product inside the box is fine, since it was packaged wellso no discount for us, as he opened to check the product. He offered to have one ordered, but we can do that ourselves; did not have to come in store to do it. My brother said to let it slide so we finished up the purchase, after getting the protection plan. I refused to let it go and we ended up driving to the New Braunfels store to purchase another one, a better one even and will return this one to the Selma store. The two stars are for the employees on the floor checking on us and the cashier up in front. Otherwise, it would only be one star Management mindset definitely needs some work. read more

I was very very impressed by the customer service at this particular Best Buy. When I ordered same day pickup for my TV during Black Friday weekend, there was a mix up with my order. I was obviously a little annoyed but, Dustin, the store manager made sure I knew that they were trying their best. He went above and beyond and provided me his business card with his email and told me if I needed anything to email him. I then received an email from him the following morning giving me an update. He spent multiple days trying to find me the TV I wanted. Throughout the several days it took to get my TV because of the influx of orders as a result of Black Friday sales. He was in constant communication with me, answering my questions quickly, providing me with updates, and making sure I felt like a valued customer. After searching, he finally secured one for me and notified me immediately. Dustin and Best Buy went above and beyond to help me get my TV and I have so much appreciation for them! read more

Terrible customer service. We went in at 8:30pm and were told we had to get in queue. They checked me in at 8:57pm. I Waited 30 minutes then Tried to ask if anyone else could help us. Nobody could do anything. They kept saying they only had 1 person who knew about the total tech program they were advertising. Waited until 9:55pm and asked again since they were closing in 5 minutes. Customer service said come back tomorrow and talk to the manager when I get there. No way I'm going back to that store. Best Buy has a great selection of TV's and other electronics plus appliances. I have to praise management for making Black Friday a shoppers paradise. They had every register open and even though the lines were very long they got people checked out fast. We waited about 20-20 min to check out and we were lined up past the appliances. The staff was very attentive almost too attentive. We never had so many sales associates approach us in one day as we did that day. read more

Bought a defective computer from a different store. Needed to exchange it (the day after I bought it), but there were none in stock. They were not answering phones. Looked online to find stores with the product. Tried to call to verify. They also were not answering phones. (What businesses don't answer phones when they are open???) Ended up with the call center. After a lengthy discussion, they promised a 10% discount for the extra hassle that I was incurring by having to go to a location much farther away (there is apparently no way to do an exchange via mail). Went the the Forum store. Was told they would never honor a call center promise. WTF - the call center is an agent of Best Buy. When one of my employees promises something wrong but reasonable, we honor the promise. Best Buy clearly has no honor. Bad business. Will NEVER shop there again because they lost focus on the customer. THEN they tried to tell me we couldn't open the exchanged computer in the store to make sure the new one didn't have the same defect. They told me I would have to take it out and return it later. That is a bunch of BS. They later tried to walk that back, but all 3 of my family members clearly heard them say they couldn't check the new computer. Lots of staff around that will check up on you and see if you have any questions -- which is a huge plus! However, I had lots of questions about Apple products since I'm debating about upgrading my set up. New Apple rep had to go back and forth and ask questions to his supervisor. But he was a trooper and helped to the best of his abilities. There were lots of sales going on from refrigerators, washers, and dryers, all the way to smaller electronics like cameras. read more

I had gone into Best buy to put together a pc and after paying more than 2 grand on parts they ship it through a 3rd party company who drove it around for 2 hours just to return it to the store causing me to have to waist more time waiting for it, when I went into the store Nick tells me to call the helpline. When finished talking to a automated machine you are transferred to people who can hardly speak English and won't help or even transfer to another number, again more time waisted this means another time I have to go into the store just to get told again they can't help and that Best buy is not at fault for a 3rd party company THEY HIRED! All this probably means nothing for a company that's seems to be in it just for the money that could care less about the satisfaction of the customer who has already spent a lot in their store. read more

Big box retailers can be a nightmare at times. Take Walmart: it is always crowded, no salespeople to help at all, not enough checkout lines, and poor store layout. Then, I entered Bestbuy today looking for an all-in-one desktop that was advertised on Bestbuy's website. I already confirmed the price and confirmed online that this local store had some units (nice). Upon entering, a couple of security personnel greet you, and then you see a well lit store with bright signs everywhere guiding you to your desired area. They had stereos, laptops, gaming systems, flatscreens, and things you didn't know you needed. Friendly staff all over asked me if I needed some help, and when you are ready you can even use computers set up in there to order things from their website. There were about 50 people in line to check out, but with 5 registers open, my wait was only about 10 minutes. Compared to other big box stores, this place has their shit together and they have my vote and loyalty. Buys: - HP 20 inch all-in-one desktop computer $345.00 (100.00 off) - I tried it in store; super fast, Windows 8.1, built in wifi, AMD e3 processor, web cam, 4 gig ram, 500 mb hardrive. I recently went to this Best Buy to purchase a laptop the same night mine decided to crap out on me. It was an hour before the store was set to close. With an expensive purchase like this, I was a little nervous about making a snap decision but I needed a computer ASAP. The gentleman who helped me was FANTASTIC! He was very knowledgeable and answered all my questions. He made recommendations for computers based on what I told him about my job and my concerns regarding transferring information. I was out of the store in about 30 minutes with a brand new computer. I typically do more research before a purchase like this, but I had work constraints that forced my hand. Fortunately, I have no buyers remorse because the associate who helped me was so amazing. read more

Terrible customer service. Anthony from appliances was very rude and absolutely did not want to help. Was shopping for a refrigerator. Tried to get his attention while he was standing around. Didn't know dudes were capable of rolling eyes. Lol. He did a few times. Told him i wanted to buy this specific refrigerator. He then proceeds to try to pass us off to a different sales person. Other sales person refuses. He then annoyingly sits at the computer and searches for the model we wanted. He proceeds to tell us it was back ordered till Dec - not sure how that works, online it was good for delivery in Nov. i then ask him if there was any other styles of same model that would be available earlier. He then looks at me, rolls his eyes once again, gasps, doesn't utter a word and begins typing. At this point, i had it. I tell the other gentleman we'll check the other best buy and thank you. This dude just sits there and stares. My wife asks me why dude was acting that way. I have no clue.. clean cut, jacked dude who was all in his feels. Smdh read more

My mom brought In her computer today for an appt with the geek squad and we were not disappointed. Nicholas, a geek squad employee, was very professional and knew the exact remedy to my moms computer problem. Took the computer home and system is up and running. Much thanks to the geek squad! Overall store was very clean and organized. Sales associates were all very friendly and helpful. While walking around looking at televisions i was approached by two associates eager to help me. I purchased (12/20/23) an electric range which was scheduled to be installed 1/5/24. I was contacted by Best Buy on 12/27/23 requesting to reschedule the range installation to 1/2/24 between 3pm and 7pm. I told them no problem. I received an email confirming the list equipment,time and date. On the morning of January 2, I cleared a path to existing range laid out tarps on the wood floor preparing for the new range installation and waited. 3pm came, 4pm came, 5pm came 6pm came, 6:30 pm came still no call from Best Buy. Approximately 6:45 pm I called Best Buy at the Forum only to be answered by there customer service people who are not local. I requested to speak to the local appliance department they said they could help me. I told them I was expecting my range to be delivered and installed but have not heard from Best Buy. First they said they didn't show a delivery but corrected them selves and told me only the electrical cord was to be delivered today. I told them that's not what your email says!! You made me sit here for four hours waiting on an electrical range cord????!!!!. Best Buy apologized and rescheduled for 1/5/24 (the original install date) followed up with a email confirming date and a 7am - 7pm delivery window (ridiculous).. I received a call from Best Buy confirming a 1/8/24 delivery/ installation date. I said no I have a email stating 1/5/24. Best Buy said they didn't see it in there system. I told them I can send them the Best Buy email I received? They said it wasn't necessary. They didn't care. By this time I had enough and told them I was going to cancel my order. They offered to compensate me for my inconvenience but could not tell me what that would be until after the range was installed. At this point it started to smell fishy and I wanted no part of it. Just a heads up it took three trips to the store to cancel the order. The electrical range chord was still in transit preventing the completion of my refund.. read more
