Called Prostar out to work on Icemaker . Asked technician if he had experience with ice makers , he wouldn't answer direct question. I asked for estimate, he said $300 ( dont recall exact amount) I was shocked ) it was a small leak on exterior. Within seconds I asked again. A technician came who could not speak English. I was told via a translator by phone that the lock on my one year old dryer needed to be replaced, he would order a part, and the total cost was approximately $300. He was here for almost an hour and charged $79 for the diagnosis only. I did not schedule a repair. I called another technician who was here for 15 minutes and found a pin stuck in the latch. The lock was not broken! I don't know what the the first technician was doing in my home for an hour! These guys were great. I have a commercial refrigerator in my garage. Alexander arrived and went to work. we had some issues, apparently when wiring the Thermostat according to the wiring diagram (aftermarket thermostat, not original), it caused a short in the plug that powered that device. He fixed the fridge while I troubleshot the outlet. With his help, we figured out the issue and all was good. I really liked him and will use them again if needed. Fast and Efficient. I searched on Yelp for a vacuum repair shop and ended up getting a bot that asked me some questions about what services I was needing, then next thing I knew, "it" was submitting requests to several businesses to contact me to schedule the service. Actually, I was looking for addresses so I could find the closest place to bring my vacuum for repair and lo n behold I had the businesses contact me to schedule when they could come to my home and repair it! To my amazement, they had openings the same day and a technician came out and repaired my unit. He pointed out several things for me to keep track of in order for it to perform efficiently and had it up and running in no time at all. The service call was $69 and would've had gone toward any parts and labor if it had been a bigger ordeal to fix! Well worth it in my book as I can't handle lugging out my big huge Dyson (which is amazing on carpeting, but I recently had wood floors installed and only have 2 area rugs which it is so strong it tries to eat them) as it's too heavy and bulky and not easily maneuverable under/around furniture. Since having the wood floors installed, the Shark is the perfect appliance to do the entire house in no time flat including around/under etc any furniture with out having to completely move it out of the way! My day was saved and so was my wallet and I didn't even have to leave my home! Their service was outstanding and they informed me when on the way. I would highly recommend this company and will definitely use their service again in the future when I need an appliance repaired. read more
