Great repair, great service, great communication the entire time with part ordering and scheduling!

My refrigerator stopped working, my freezer operation was degraded but was still running. I contacted ProStar due to their almost perfect ratings. That was on Sunday 26 July 2026. They responded to my text amazingly fast. I texted them early Sunday morning around 7 AM. Told me someone would be coming by 11-1 PM. I thought that was awesome. BTW not a fan of AI, but their AI call center is amazing. 1 PM (name withheld) shows up with his tool bag and walks in. He seemed to be in a hurry on the way in and on the way out. He pulls the refrigerator off the wall, does (something?) Pushes it back and tells me "my compressor is dead". He sends me an estimate for $1046.78. I place $100 cash down to get repairs booked so I now owe $946.78 on a "dead compressor" repair. He then scoots out the door after maybe 15 minutes. Knowing a compressor failure is a costly failure, it caused us quite a bit of stress. I decided, against the advice of my wife, to still give ProStar a try. She was ready to cancel repairs and buy a new costly refrigerator which I talked her out of because I know almost all brands are garbage except for Whirlpool/Kitchen Aid. Here comes Shawn on Tuesday. Super guy, diagnosed the problem correctly with pictures for me, got to the part that was actually malfunctioning (freezer fan assembly with faulty sensor causing a big block of ice over it) and got it back up running for way less than "a dead compressor" like "expert" (name withheld) said. $481 bill plus my $100 deposit. I'm giving you all 4-5 stars because of the initial poor customer service I got. read more

We've used Pro Star Appliance Repair in the past when our washer needed a repair. We were happy with the service so we wanted to use them again when our dishwasher started leaking. We had Anton H. visit on July 27, 2026 to diagnose the problem. He did not have the part on hand but could bring it and repair on July 28th. We thought the repair had fixed the issue, but on August 2nd (less than a week later) our dishwasher started leaking again. I've tried to contact Pro Star Appliance repair several times since then - text, phone calls and even booked an appointment through their website. They have not contacted me and no showed the appointment. read more

Avoid these scammers. They did not replace all the parts they orderd and did not fix my dishwasher. They lied for over 2 weeks to me.

My fridge stopped dispensing water and making ice. Prostar came out and identified the control board needed to be replaced. They then ordered the parts are came back out to replace one the parts were in. Very easy, and they waived the service call charge because of the repair. read more

Called Prostar out to work on Icemaker . Asked technician if he had experience with ice makers , he wouldn't answer direct question. I asked for estimate, he said $300 ( dont recall exact amount) I was shocked ) it was a small leak on exterior. Within seconds I asked again. A technician came who could not speak English. I was told via a translator by phone that the lock on my one year old dryer needed to be replaced, he would order a part, and the total cost was approximately $300. He was here for almost an hour and charged $79 for the diagnosis only. I did not schedule a repair. I called another technician who was here for 15 minutes and found a pin stuck in the latch. The lock was not broken! I don't know what the the first technician was doing in my home for an hour! Use this company only if you want a repair for a problem that does not exist at a ridiculous price! read more

These guys were great. I have a commercial refrigerator in my garage. Alexander arrived and went to work. we had some issues, apparently when wiring the Thermostat according to the wiring diagram (aftermarket thermostat, not original), it caused a short in the plug that powered that device. He fixed the fridge while I troubleshot the outlet. With his help, we figured out the issue and all was good. I really liked him and will use them again if needed. Our built in microwave stopped heating and getting ahold of Kitchaid was a disaster. Found ProStar using Yelp. We were able to get an appointment quickly.
