Best customer service ever! I came to this Best Buy beginning of June to purchase appliances (fridge, as well as matching SS stove, hood and dishwasher) after my fridge broke. Kevin, the ginger, helped me out. He was patient and dedicated. I then had an issue when i decided I wanted a different fridge. This is a long story I will make very short... I called the customer service number and the woman who helped me (I'm sure she was from overseas) kinda screwed up my order. Then the delivery was another issue when I called customer service and the person who helped me cancelled my order at my request but not the delivery and gave me a partial refund. I decided to go back to the store and was assisted by Sumit. Just like Kevin, Sumit was wonderful and got things back on track. I'm also mentioning the other team members who were polite and helpful when I entered the store. Not sure why the low reviews, but my experience was five stars! read more

went to this store to buy a pair of meta sunglasses for my husband for his birthday. The sales associate gave me a couple to look at it and I told hm which one I wanted. He then goes and gives me a box. I didn't double check the box because why would he give me the wrong ones? Well, he did, and so when my husband opened the box today for his actual birthday, they were the wrong ones. Best buy will not honor the exchange! Warning keep away. Poor customer experience. First, I was told the bathrooms are out of order and I can go to Old Navy two door down. As Best Buy staff come out of there public bathrooms. It got worse, when I went to purchase a new cell phone plan, I waited in line for about 15 minutes while the Best Buy staff member was talk to his friends about paint vs wrapping his car. There was no discussion regarding phones or anything best buy sell during my entire time in the store. I left the store in frustration and about 20 minutes later i returned to report poor customer service to the manager. The manger stated the bathrooms were unsafe but ok for staff to use. What does that mean? Then the manager stated the salesperson was creating a rapport with his customer. The staff member was still hanging with his friend an hour later. I made a purchase, took to the cashier and asked if I could use My Best Buy store card. He told me my card expired. I could reapply. I did. He asked me what credit card I wanted. I told him twice I wanted a store card not a credit card. Four days ago I received a letter from Equifax needing more information for my credit card. I ran into Best Buy with a projector and a question of how to hook it up to my iPhone. John came over to offer assistance, that I thought would take at least an hour. It took less than 10 minutes as he handed me the two items I needed explained how to set up the projector and I checked out with a cheery and polite Aiden was on my way. My iPhone screen cracked. Best Buy is one of the places listed by Apple as providing iPhone servicing. Best Buy is also closer to my house so I wanted to go there but it didn't work out. I ended up needing to go to an Apple store. Let me compare the experience at both stores. I had to make appointments for both visits. I arrived on time for both visits. I waited at the Best Buy Geek Squad service desk for several minutes - everyone seemed to be in a back room or walking past without making eye contact. Eventually someone came out. At the Apple store, I immediately engaged with an employee who showed me to a table. Someone was out to help me fairly quickly. At the Best Buy, the employee examined my cracked screen. He helped me turn off Find My Phone (required by Apple) and asked that I give him my passcode or disable it. He estimated the cost. He took my phone into a back room. Came back ~10 minutes later and said they could not repair it on site - the phone would have to be mailed - and the cost would be higher because of a crack on the back of the phone. Sending the phone by mail for an expensive repair was not an option I was willing to entertain. Instead, I made an appointment with Apple. Apple did not require that I disable my passcode (which is more secure than what Best Buy did). I pointed out the issue on the back - they said it was a scratch and not a problem. They ran the phone diagnostic software in my presence. They replaced the screen in less than an hour, charged less than half of what Best Buy quoted, and let me check out the phone to make sure everything was still working before I left. I'm glad I didn't go with Best Buy. I would have been without my phone for about a week and paid a high price for a more extensive repair than I needed. I am still uncomfortably wondering what the Geek Squad guy did with my phone for the 10 minutes he was in a back room while the passcode was disabled. I am not Apple's fan. I think they're overpriced and having to schedule service is nuts. But my experience with getting my cracked screen replaced was overall more efficient, faster, and lower cost with Apple than with Best Buy by a wide margin. Apple treated me like a valued customer - Best Buy did not. Ultimately, the Apple technicians knew what they were doing - the Geek Squad did not. If I need service on an Apple product in the future, I will work with Apple even though I need to drive a bit further. This was a bad experience in one narrow area of what Best Buy does. I have had other good and bad shopping experiences there. But the much better experience I had at Apple for the same issue just really highlighted for me how differently the two companies work. read more

I had a coverage plan for my ohone. Whan I finbally needed help I went to Geek SDquad and explianed I had no service and problms with volume. They didn't even ask to look at it. they told mer if I have aplan they can send new phone in a week and that was the end of the conversation and their "Help" Really? A WEEK? Youy didn't even glance at my phone. WTF was I paying for with the sewrvice plan? NOTHING! I GOT ZERO IN RETURN. I calle d Verizon directly and they attempted to help me and when they couldn't they suggested I get a new sim card o resolve the isue and that EWORST CASE IF ALL ELSE FAILS THEY COULD HAVE A NEW PHONE ON MY DOORSTEP BY 8PM THE FOLLOOWING DAY. I would advise that nobody shop from this particular Best Buy, and avoid Best Buy in general if at all possible. On 7/26 I made an online purchase for a store pickup of a laptop. I then confirmed the availability, and was told that the item was in stock and there was no problem with the order. Hours later when I wanted to pick up my order I was told that the laptop in question had been sold to someone else (after I placed my order). The manager (Gian Carlo Gambone I believe), refused to match the price on a comparable item. He told me that if I wanted to guarantee I actually get an item I order I should buy it in store, and not online (this is 2013). Had a delivery scheduled for today Friday, November, 3rd, 2017 from 8-12 for a refrigerator; installation and haul away. Purchased the refrigerator urgently on Sunday, October 29th, 2017. My current refrigerator is in a nook and requires it to be wiggled out as it has no wheels. The delivery guys refused to remove the refrigerator, stated it was NOT their job, and suggested I or my husband do it ourselves. They then proceeded to leave with the new refrigerator I then proceeded to call the customer service number, after 30 minutes on hold I was advised that the delivery men have the right to refuse the delivery and they will be able to reschedule the delivery for ANOTHER day BUT they will have to call us back tomorrow because they can not reschedule us today either. In the meantime my family has to continue to endure the time without a refrigerator that we desperately need and have waited for, for God know how much longer. The lack of empathy and customer service is unbelievably outrageous and highly disturbing. I have read and heard of negative experiences other customers have endeavored but I did not want to judge this company based on that. Unfortunately for me I too have become part of this group and I am sick to my stomach that this is the type of business they are running. In retrospect I will cancel the order, NEVER purchase anything from Best Buy ever again, and will make it a priority to share my experience with other potential buyers so they will NOT make the same mistake I made. read more

Made my purchase online, and picked up at the store. There were 3 employees at the pickup area, one of them acknowledged me while the other played on his cell phone, and mother carried on with a manager who came out of the back. As the associate helped me, the other 2 employees offered no assistance, and she had a problem reaching over the employee on his phone attempting to get the scanner, then to get a bag for my purchase. He then responded "you could ask me to move...". The employee who was messing around on his cell phone should have taken himself out of the view of the customer, and if he did not want to help, he should have moved out of the customer view. The fact that this type of behavior is warranted at bestbuy, is disappointing. Why come into the store, I should have just shipped to my home. Great customer service, had bought a security camera from them online, picked it up in only store that still had it in stock in Brooklyn ( kind of far). When I got it home, I noticed package had been previously open and camera had battery already in camera and camera was probably left on all this time and now batteries were dead. I came to the Best Buy in holmdel to see if they could replace the batteries for me ( these are special batteries and are kind of expensive) and they did! No fuss, no wasting of my time. I have been in this store many times and every visit is great. The employees are also very knowledgeable and are able to answer every question I have. Today my husband and I went in to buy a new router. The store associate Robert helped us and was excellent. He answered all of our questions in a way that us not being so computer knowledgeable could understand. Terrible customer service. Simple battery replacement which I could do myself. I explained the fact that two Best Buy computers were defective, an Asus and a Lenovo which I threw out because it never worked, so I asked for an accommodation on a simple battery replacement. Agent agreed but never told me of the $40 computer labor fee until after the job was done. More like a fly-by-night operation. Three sales agents did not get manager, but the fourth finally did. Very unprofessional with a rude manager--not accommodating at all. AI machines would be more humane than the service I had today. This store has absolutely no interest in customer relations. Once again, a week after buying my new computer, I had the need to return to Best Buy in Holmdel, NJ. This time it was to upgrade my cell phone from an IPhone5 to a Galaxy S8+. This of course was a challenge in itself, but I was pleasantly surprised by the easy transition that was aided by the helpful associate that I worked with, James. He was patient, polite, personable and knowledgeable and made suggestions that helped me save money and get the phone and data plan that I needed. I drove 45 minutes to this location after being told over the phone that they would price match a Samsung television to a local competitors advertised price. When I got there I was given several different excuses including "we don't match that competitor", "we don't ever price match Samsung TVs", and "we only match Amazon and PC Richards" (despite reconfirming that specific location by name). I left insulted and defeated after speaking with numerous associates who refused to be sympathetic. I'm yet another person that will be moving my major purchases to Amazon. There are times when you walk into the store knowing to a large extent what you want to purchase but, needed that extra advice from one of the store associates. In this case I needed to purchase a new cell phone for myself and have them move all my data, pictures, and applications to the new phone, as well as set up the new phone account. Moreover, I wanted this done as expeditiously as possible along with great customer service. Well we found that gem of an employee with Dana S. several days ago at this store. I recently was in the market for a large screen TV, after waiting for years for the prices to drop and the technology to improve. Like Ralph Kramden I was waiting for 3D TV. It was the night before the Superbowl and I heard that the retailers were making some great deals. Best Buy had a deal on the Panasonic Plasma screen and I went by to check it out. It was a great deal and I said I would return later that night to purchase it. When I came back a few hours later, I was told that the model on display at that price was not in stock and in fact they were sold out and not going to be getting any more. The sales associate was ill informed, the one I dealt with earlier had not bothered to check and implied it was available and the manager when we talked about buying the floor model was indifferent and dismissive. It was a clear case of bait and switch, poor customer relations and left a very negative impression of the store. We drove down the street and checked out Sears. They were also out of stock on the same model, but the sales associate was very well informed, and had another deal on the Samsung 3D. It was in stock and we were able to take it home that night and watch the game on Sunday. read more

Because the product I purchased I could have purchased it anywhere else for THE SAME PRICE thanks to price match. But, I decided to trust BEST BUY and give you my business.. Placing my family's needs in your hands, what for? To receive a slap on my face not once, not twice, THREE TIMES. I have place my order over a month ago ORDER # 1118157431809. Order has been paid in FULL. I didn't just purchase one item, I purchased my entire home through you guys. Prom delivery services, store managers, famous "geek squad" which I named them "rude squad" have been very rude and insensitive towards my family, but mainly to my husband and I, when we are concerned parents, who need to feed our children in the morning/ lunch/ diner , wash their clothes etc etc. I have no STOVE, REFRIGERATOR, MICROWAVE, WASHER, DRYER, and DISHWASHER. My appliances still remain in your warehouse, and no one is explaining to me why these PAID FOR items are not being delivered. Original delivery was previously scheduled for 06/23/2018 between 12-6pm. Sales department made a "mistake" and had the wrong address listed for delivery. We understand that people make mistakes, and due to the prior good experience with BEST BUY we decided to wait. I personally drove 35 minutes to go to the store where the original purchase was made, store who as I previously stated have had a great experience with.. Because I am a very LOYAL CUSTOMER... I spoke to the manager and explained the situation to make them aware of what was going on. Manager understood that BEST BUY made a huge mistake, and due to the amount of stress and inconvenience BEST BUY was putting my family through a $500 credit was applied to the purchase of almost $8000.00. I understood and thank the manager for managing this matter in such a professional way. And for accommodating me for a delivery for the following Tuesday 06/26/2018 instead of Thursday 06/28/2018. I left the store happy with the way the manager politely and how he showed compassion for the situation my family and I were placed by the company he very well represented. Tuesday 06/26/2018, my husband was forced to leave work early to receive the delivery ( LOSSING TIME OUT OF WORK = MONEY) My husband wanted to make sure that everything was going to run well, he contacted the company, the phone number of the delivery drivers was provided to him. He spoke to the drivers who were running behind on deliveries (understandable, it happens) .. Drivers NEVER SHOWED UP, when my husband called the drivers they HAD THE WRONG ADDRESS AGAIN... someone misspelled my street name. Now, let's think of this really quick.. Google maps should be able to correct a SIMPLE LETTER from an address. I believe the drivers never intended to deliver ALL OF OUR APPLICENCES. We called the driver he super SUPER RUDELY hanged up the phone on us. We called the company someone from " RUDE SQUAD" was super rude non apologetic " there is nothing we can do, it is what it is" I am in shock at the matter that we are being treated this way, by a company who we trusted. I regret so much going with you guys, and it hurts my feeling saying this... I feel like the company is pushing my family and I around no one is doing anything about nothing and your customers are being treated this way. After 1 hr on hold,... we were able to speak to Mohammed store manager, he promised us SATURDAY DELIVERY 06/30 which I have evidence of, I have an EMAIL CONFIRMING MY DELIEVERY FOR SATURDAY. Mohammed apparently changed his mind and disregard my family AGAIN and purposely changed my delivery till Monday 07/02 .. why? I don't know! No one calls me, I am being pushed around and NOONE IS TAKING MY FAMILY INTO CONCIDERATION . I went to the store yesterday drove another 35 minutes to speak to a manager who I previously was treated so kindly and with respect by... I am sorry to say that I didn't find the same treatment the second time I had to drive 35 minutes up there....
