Avrumi told me that he could do better than what I brought him and he did. He transferred my data and after a few calls, told me it was ready. The owner is very accommodating, knowledgeable, and most importantly, VERY patient. I am someone who is very hard on his machines ( so far, this year, I dropped my laptop once, and my external disc twice). The best has been my current one, which, thanks to a little loving kindness from him, survived the above-mentioned drop and is none the worse for wear. In short, he chooses excellent hardware, knows Mac (and I assume PC) inside and out (literally!), and has excellent software skills. I called on a Thurs and Mike said that the batteries would be in on Tues and that he would call when they were in. I called on the following Thurs and was told the batteries would be in on Friday. I said that I would would come in on Monday. He did not say where to go to pick them up but I was using a number connected to the address 318 Easton Ave New Brunswick, NJ. I called several times before going but got a machine. I took a chance and went. It was a house where the woman who answered the door had no idea about a computer repair business. I went to the second address for All Computer Repair at 716 Livingston Ave in North Brunswick. Dentist office downstairs, sign of a tax prep company saying they had moved. I went upstairs where it was dark and looked like it could have been a crack house. No one was there and the dentist dentist office knew nothing of a computer repair business. I called the tax officer number and they said that they had moved over a year ago and Mike was no longer "with them." Phone calls to Mike and left messages have gotten no response.

But they are severely overshadowed by his horrendous administration, customer service, follow up and communication skills. Mike does not return phone calls, text messages or emails. It is very frustrating when you are on a tight deadline or just want a status update on what is happening with your repair. He still has my computer and accessories. I have called for TWO MONTHS trying to get a date / time when I can pick them up. I have gotten no response. I have asked Mike to mail the items and gotten no response. Mike is great if you don't mind your items being held hostage, his disappearing, and your not being able to find him. Mike should also work on his professionalism. He works out of a Tax Office and a friend's home -- neither of which are appropriate for receiving customers. Good luck to Mike and good luck to you if you choose to work with him. Be prepared for the run around. Not sure great prices are worth this hassle.
