I visited around a year ago and the sales associate at the back mall entrance (Jayden Murphy) greeted me very nicely with a smile and assisted me with what i needed and offered to help along the whole way! i visited the store again recently and there was a rude ghetto young man back there with curly hair and glasses. i politely asked to speak to jayden again. they told me he quit due to poor management and finding a different job. I asked for the next best person and they gave me some a rude and absolue abhorrent associate named Joe. He reeked of nicotine and cheap booze!! after i declined the credit card he offered me he treated me like i was second hand garbage. i asked to complete the sale with a manager who was just as crude! jimmy and david are some of the most unprofessional excuses for managers possible. they kept trying to force and upsell me and when i declined it all they just became rude salty and passive aggressive! and i totally see why poor jayden left. if best buy higher ups see this: track jayden down and ask him to come back and find new management ASAP! read more

I have many complaints about the Holyoke Best Buy, Geek Squad and the company generally. I purchased an expensive HP desktop computer that malfunctioned for most of the year I had it. I purchased the Geek Squad Total plan and had to speak to scammers in India who repeatedly told me that they fixed my computer. They didn't. Each time I called for support the Indian scammers with the oddly American names would attempt to get my credit card number claiming that I needed to pay for service despite my Geek Squad Total Membership plan. I encountered these same scammers who also answered my calls to HEWLETT Packard. Best Buy and HP have no contact numbers in the USA. - all calls go to India or another foreign country. emails to executives listed in the USA cannot be reached by phone and emails go unanswered. in fact the Holyoke Best Buy sends all calls out of the country. I also brought my computer for repair at the Holyoke store. Again not fixed- twice. I was repeatedly told that I had a software problem. Before the warranty expired I sent the computer to Northampton Computer Repair and found out that the computer had a hardware problem. HP would not replace the computer unless I sent it to California for weeks. Then maybe they would replace it. I was told by the escalation agent that computers are only replaced in the 1st 30 days if there is a hardware problem. If I had been told it was a hardware problem from the start by their authorized agent Geek Squad then I would have demanded a new computer! This is their game. DON'T SHOP AT BEST BUY. Thankfully we walked out with the computer I needed, but the sales associate was a JERK. He started out totally kind, but when we said we didn't want to add apple care at the register he LITERALLY stopped talking to us and just gave us nasty looks. I was stressed because my phone had been run over and I showed them the picture of the crushed dead phone. The associate called another one over and noted that my phone deserved a moment of silence. Ordered a dishwasher 3 weeks ago with scheduled pickup today. An hour away, but due to the $50 shipping charge, I took time off of work to go get it. As of midnight last night, website was still saying item ready for pickup today. I wake up this morning and now it says it won't be there until next Wednesday. I called to see what the issue is, no one can give me a straight answer. I request the item to be shipped without the $50 charge to make up for the inconvenience and the person I was routed to said there was nothing she could do, and there was no complaint department she could transfer me to. Asked to speak to her supervisor, she put me on hold and then came back and said they didn't answer, then insisted the supervisor doesn't have voicemail, and couldn't give me the supervisor's name because she didn't know what it was. Salespersons do not seem to care about the product condition and are very inattentive. He was on phone once sale was finished while he was helping load tv into my truck. Also he dragged the tv across the whole store with it 'bouncing' as it got caught on the carpet. No wonder why I needed to wast 5 hours of my life repacking it to return it only for this exact experience to happen again. This Best Buy in particular is also a bit of a dump. I went in the holyoke mall location to purchase two headsets. Each 199.99$ after tax my transaction was 425$ cacye and yani were the only two people to give me the time of day and help.. sad.. when it was time for me to check out I went register to register 3 different times interacted with 4 other employees, getting sent to registers where no one was at, the previous ones I waited at... finally I waited at the service desk for 2-3 minutes before cacye... the security guy who I first interacted with when I entered the store CHECKED ME OUT.. sad... that your own security team has to wait for his replacement to come in just to go cash out customers... 425$ yani helped me with the return and cashing out of a new product and took the time out of her day unlike every other employee there to help me and tell me exactly the location. huge shoutout to them.. fully understand if those two employees leave your company eventually. Worst shopping experience EVER at Best Buy in Holyoke. Made an on line purchase on Wednesday the 12th. Great deal on an item because they were competing with Amazon Prime Day.. Kind of pricey item so I opted for in-store pickup. I did not want it sitting on my doorstep. Pick up was to be on Saturday, was ok with that. Thursday and Friday come and go. Order status still say for in-store pickup Saturday. I check and check still no updates. Then 1 hour before store closing on Saturday, "oops, problem with your order". It's out of stock and being shipped from another store. Still not a problem. Saturday night I check again and now there is a new problem with the credit card. It's being rejected. I call the Best Buy credit card and the reason for the decline. They tell me I am over my limit. That cant be. Well it is, Best Buy is now trying to put the charge through a second time. That's the reason. I must have called the credit card company 5 times and Best Buy 6 or 7 trying to clear this up. Best Buy supposedly issued a credit on the first charge and tried the second time. I was later told by Best Buy the credits some times take 3-4 days to clear. That's a problem if you try and bill right after the credit. Wake up Best Buy. Now the second charge failed. Their computer auto tries again a little later. Fails again on Sunday. Few hours later fails again. Get emails and now I have 24 hours to resolve the credit card issue. Now I'm getting phone calls from the credit card for fraud alert. Explain the situation again and credit card company is having issues with their computer system and can't pull up my account, call us back in an hour or two please. Try the store again, what I though was a direct number, and explain they already had the money on the 12th, why are you charging me again? They were going to have an account specialist look at this and get back to me. Wait. Credit card company says have Best Buy the check the approval code issued on the 12th. I should be fine. Monday same issues back and forth, until approx 2pm. Get email "sorry your order has been canceled" WTF I'm done...... Avoid this store and Best Buy like the plague. I found out there is no calling a store. All calls to people working from home on computers. These people have no clue as to what is going on.. read more

Bought a total of two TVs there. One had to be returned due to a cracked screen. The second one the sound card was defective. I am not sure what they do with returns...I think they rebox them and if returned again will finally look into it or repair it. There is no reason for this when these sets come out of the factory in perfect condition. Try calling the store and you end up with some foreign person working from home in the pajamas using a manual of prepared answers. Purchased a 65" television on Saturday and delivery was promised for Monday. When the box was opened it revealed a damaged television. The delivery man said he'd return the item and be back within an hour. He called me 30 minutes later from the store saying that they would not give him a replacement and that I would need to call the store myself to get things straightened out. After sitting on hold for 15 minutes, Natalie finally picked up and admitted she was powerless to help, but that the delivery manager would call me in the next 30 minutes. I asked her whether this was an honest appraisal of the situation or whether they were just deflecting the issue. Natalie said "Honest to God." Two hours later and I've heard twice from Best Buy -- some central office in the middle of the country which has been absolutely useless in providing help and admits it as well. Each time they've told me that they can't resolve my issue, only the store can, so please call the store. I wait on hold with the store for the second time this afternoon, as I write this. A full day wasted and no one will even give me the time of day, much less a candid explanation of when this television will be delivered. I had intended to follow this purchase up with a new computer, printer, and scanner next weekend. But with the Cup playoffs starting Wednesday, if I don't receive my television by then, Satan will have gotten out his ice scraper before I ever step foot in that store again. I will update this report to let you know whether they decide to keep the $700 I paid for the broken television as well. Best Buy has always been a regular place to shop for cellphone and laptop accessories, and this store came to my rescue on a recent trip to western Massachusetts. I had left my cellphone wall charger back in Florida, and was scheduled to be on a three-week road trip in New England. Thankfully there was a Best Buy at Holyoke Mall near my hotel in Westfield, MA, and I made that my first stop after unpacking. The layout of this store was much the same as any other Best Buy, and I instantly knew where to go look for Samsung power adaptors. The mobile accessories area was near the front door, and it took no time to locate what I needed. There was no need to interact with any of the sales help - I just found what I wanted, and walked it up to the registers. In and out in a few minutes with my new cellphone charger in hand. Had a dryer set up for delivery, time frame 9-1. Took time off from work and waited. And waited. And waited. I was then called at 130 to inform me the truck had broken down that morning. So wasted a day off. I canceled the order after being advised the next delivery date was a week away. I then called customer service with no help. I then filed a complaint on twitter(social media great to get things moving). I was then told by another representative that the dryer was out of stock and that is why the delivery was cancelled They lie. Never do business here. They will be going the way of circuit city soon. The incompetence is incredible. Obviously no one helped me. Most businesses would understand the inconvenience they put you through and make it right(a dryer in stock perhaps?) but nope. Appalling and disturbing customer service department. I've never experienced such abhorrent treatment like this in my 39 years on this planet with other humans. My husband was so upset he was shaking for hours after the interaction... Let me explain this review: We have been loyal and platinum customers of best buy for years, spending thousands and thousands of dollars at this place. Today we needed to make a simple exchange for a baby monitor that broke and we purchased the protection plan from BB. The first agent told us to grab one from the shelf. We found one for $99 and it rang up $129. We pointed out the price discrepancy and met an associate back at the aisle to show them the price integrity error. She fought with us even when we pointed out that there's not a single tag on the shelf for $129 again pointing out the price integrity of their tags. We went back to customer service and the associate who helped us continued to argue with us. She escalated and began yelling at my husband. She was screaming at him which of course caused him to escalate his volume as well. She abandoned us and then a self titled manger named "Jesse" attempted to assist us. We said we just want our money back at this point and we will gladly leave. He proceeded to give us a gift card instead of our money back for the defective product. We said we never want to shop here ever, ever again, please put the money back on our credit card .. he refused. We asked for the other associate's name who screamed at us so we could call customer service.... He refused to give her name. We explained we understood confidentiality, so we asked for her employee ID #... He again refused! We asked how we could escalate this to customer service.... His reply "they just call me anyways". This self titled manager "Jesse" didn't even witness the horrible interaction (s) we endured. My husband was upset about the gift card and how we were treated. My husband, out of frustration said "I don't understand this shit".... Jesse, the "manager", said he didn't tolerate swearing and told us we had to leave. I piped in and said he said "shit" out of frustration! Jesse could've cared less. We got the boot because he was sensitive to the S-H-I-T word... "Platinum" customers.... We felt like plebians at this point. We were unable to escalate our horrible situation because the "manager"Jesse (there's no way he can actually be a manager... Or he needs serious customer service training) refused to give us anyone's employee ID to talk to best buy's customer service1-800 team. They ruined our day and we will never ever spend another penny there again. Everything about BB has gone bad. the service is awful and nobody cares. the website is no longer worth using. all the information there may or may not be correct. when BB e-mails that your order is ready, it only means go to the store and wait another half hour for them to find and get it ready. then it is missing everything it is supposed to come with and nobody cares to make it right. Avoid all Best Buy stores for any product that you cannot walk out of the store with. I purchased a dishwasher at this Best Buy store in the beginning of July, for delivery 3 weeks later. When the dishwasher was delivered, it was badly dented and could not be installed. Best Buy, however, marked the delivery as "complete". As I write this, it is now 1 month since the original delivery date. My wife and I have spent more than 50 hours on the phone with what Best Buy ironically calls "customer service", which has lied about the status of the redelivery multiple times, screwed up a refund (only refunding about 1/2 of what we paid and did not include installation fees, taxes, delivery fees, and ancillary parts which were needed for installation) which we refused to accept, and then sent out a truck to "pick up" the damaged product even after we told Best Buy that the original delivery team had taken it back with them and returned it to Best Buy! I do not have my dishwasher, Best Buy still has my payment. I will NEVER buy appliance at a Best Buy again... Don't you make the same mistake that I did read more

I ordered a 86" 4K TV and was offered the earliest delivery date which was between 7AM and 1PM ... 7 days away! I thought, no problem, I can be patient, I had no idea how patient I would need to be. So, the day finally comes, and I get a call at 9:25AM (that's 2.5 hours into my appointment window) to tell me that the delivery is not coming and they need to reschedule the delivery! Thanks Best Buy, I didn't have anything else to do today like go to work on a Wednesday morning, unbelievable. So, reluctantly I ask what times they have available, and this is where it gets nuts, she gives me a date 7 days out so that's a total of 14 days to deliver a TV. I asked "Why can't you just deliver the TV tomorrow?" and she said this is the earliest date available, realizing that I was getting nowhere with the person on the phone I accepted the appointment for now. So I called back and waited on hold for 26 minutes and got hung up on, called back (waited on hold for 28 minutes this time) and asked for a manager to help me and I was told that there were none available and that someone would call me back in 24 hours. I now have no patience left and I am totally regretting my decision to give Best Buy a chance. How do they survive in this era of Amazon, Monoprice, Walmart, and others? If they don't change, customers like me will decide the future of Best Buy by truly giving up on the brick and mortar of the past and never giving them another penny of my money again. read more

I bought a tv for over $3,500. Sales staff was excellent. I paid for delivery and installation and had worst experience of my life. Three dates were changed after being agreed to. On Tuesday of this week, an appointment was sent for between 12 and 4 on Friday (12/8). Again all plans were cancelled by me to keep appointment. At 12:15 a machine called and tried to reschedule for 12/12. Machine could not understand my positive response and hung up. I now have no appointment. I called number and was on hold for 43 minutes before I had to leave. I now have paid all money and have no product. I have tried calling store and there is no way to get through. Tomorrow I will try and cancel sale and I will buy from Amazon. We all hear that Amazon is hurting retail operations. I don't know that I have ever been treated with such DISRESPECT and RUDENESS as my experience with the Sales Manager MAX and the customer service representative TIM who both tag-team bullied me while trying to do a return. I purchased three fit bits online for my daughters for Christmas. One of then was a duplicate gift so I never even opened the package. Most stores give a 30 day return policy after Christmas but Best Buy only gives 14 days. Three days after the 14 day deadline, I attempted to return the unopened fit bit which they still sell the exact model. First, I was told that I was unable to return it bc it was after the 14 days! They still sell the item! It was never opened! I tried to explain that I live in Maine and work in Massachusetts. The weather since Christmas has been unusually icy and snowy thus reducing the number of opportunities to return this item. I tried to explain this but there was clearly no understanding. They just wanted to argue and belittle me for being three days past a ridiculous return date. I was rudely asked "aren't there any Best Buys in Maine?" MAX clearly didn't understand that the reference to Maine was the travel back and forth through very bad weather.....and then TIM would weigh in. It was if they had rehearsed how antagonize their customers. AND THEN, THIS IS WHY I AM WRITING THIS REVIEW! MAX put through the transaction, extended his hand with the receipt to give it to me and then pulled it back and came from behind the counter to confront me. He, all of 25 or so years old said "YOU SHOULD NOT FEEL SO ENTITLED TO GET SOMETHING YOU DON'T DESERVE" and continued to hold my receipt hostage for another pregnant pause. In my 53 years, I have never been treated so DISRESPECTFULLY. In the past three years, my husband and I have purchased 2 large SONY SMART TVs, a NIkon D50 DLR and lenses, solo Beats, multiple Fitbits, a tablet, 2 fire sticks, 2 routers, a wifi extender and that's just what I remember off the top of my head. We are good customers and to be treated so offensively leaves us no choice but to NEVER PURCHASE ANYTHING AT ANY BEST BUY AGAIN. I bought a computer in March, and unfortunately the geek squad and the sales team gave me another one I didn't want. After trying to return it several times without getting to they finally allowed me to exchange it for a different computer. I went yesterday, I dealt with Max the supervisor who was not great, and the geek squad again who failed to do anything correctly. When I called today they told me there was nothing I could do. There are only 2 options- the staff at Best Buy in the computer department is completely clueless about whether a computer is a good product or not, OR they DO know the computer I was buying was a piece of crap, they didnt care and they sold it to me anyway. The Dell Inspiron 3000 is the worst computer I have ever owned, the only solution i was offered was a ridiculously overpriced warranty at the time of purchase, which adds 25% onto the price, OR give them MORE money to fix the piece of crap computer their salesmen knowingly sold me.
