Let's just say I will never purchase any major appliances from Best Buy again. Salesman was AMAZING he helped my MIL with her purchase and she had SO many nice things to say about Mr.Osman who was the young man who sold her the beautiful LG washer that she picked out, she can't stand for long periods due to her health and this young man brought her a chair and gave her a water and made sure she was comfortable. She chose the delivery and install and so we waited and the washer came she was so excited and then the bad news came and they said "OH NOPE WE CANT INSTALL YOU NEED TO REPLACE YOUR PIPES UNDER THE SINK" they didn't even look at the old washer to see the drain hose and water hook up were right there still connected to old washer. So they left and I called Best Buy and explained to them what happened and they were confused as to why they left without installing the new washer and so I told her that they said we need to call a plumber and replace our pipes and she said ABSOLUTELY NOT ITS JUST A SWITCH OUT so she sent 2 guys out yesterday and they were supposed to be prepared for hooking up the new washer but again it was the same thing the first thing they asked my MIL was where is the pipes? So they look and the main guy says NO WE CANT INSTALL BECAUSE THE DRAIN HOSE ON NEW WASHER WONT FIT So I said take your Washer and give my MIL her money back. The price was great the washer was beautiful but the delivery people made Beat Buy look pretty bad so they left and left the washer to be picked up on Friday So out of curiosity i said to myself after they left "I wonder if I can hook it up" im pretty hands on so I disconnected the drain hose and I sized up the one on the new washer and they were the same size and BOOM DONE I CONNECTED IT AND C LAMPED IT HOOKED IT UP! Why don't they just do it themselves? Why such a big fuss? Never again... oh and I was able to fix our washing machine with the help from troubleshooting and putting in the dial code I reset it and now it's working perfectly fine again. read more

Since it's the holiday season I've usually gone later in the day, avoiding busy times. On all occassions store staff have been extremely helpful, especially the Geek Squad team. I called for an appointment to Best Buy before I showed up in Marlborough. The Indian accent, speaking representative for some reason, put me in to go to Millbury. I was not aware of that fact. When I showed up the Geek Squad representatives were at lunch and the only one working was busy with a customer. So I waited. A gentleman finally came up and asked me what I needed. I explained everything when Peter Valentino showed up he quickly Motion me to him. I asked if I have to explain everything again and he said no he would do that. I sat down in a different spot and Peter started looking at my computer and said that I did not have an appointment there. I was shocked and then finally looked at my phone. And that is when we both noticed that it was in the Millbury location. He said to me that I was snapping at him and yelling at him and to stop doing that. I asked him when was I yelling at him he said that I was snapping at him. I asked when was I snapping at him because I never even said words to him. If you can avoid the pick up option here, please do so. I ordered an expensive laptop to be brought out to my car bc of injury to my back (but they don't need to know that). I was expecting and prepared to show the person my ID as it was told to me when I purchased the laptop. His tone was disrespectful and just unfriendly. Since I showed the person my ID and i was friendly- i was expecting at least a smile or something that gestured appreciation- nada! Although I realize sales numbers drive the retail barge, I was trampled on hard by their whole process. I bought a nice open box laptop. They tested it at the store, worked well had all the decals for the features it was supposed to have. I get home and set it up. I look in the system and it's a 12th gen I-7 instead of a 13th gen I-9. And it has no separate GPU. I bring it back to the store to try to locate the computer that was supposed to be sold to me. They cannot locate the computer. And the computer in my hand was a model they do t even sell. So I asked for an incentive to buy another open box. They said they can't do that. They can sell me a fraudulent computer but can't give me a discount for my wasted time? How long can they continue like that. read more

We use Best Buy in Bangor Maine for our summer home. The techs there are fantastic as is the manager. Bolton Mass a different story. Greg in the store is pleasant and knows what he's doing. The install tech's are pleasant enough but unless its a real simple tv install your better off spending your bread to call a Hi End pro. These folks know more then me but thats not saying much. They should absolutely be in another profession. Two call backs and two cancelled appointments by their robo call center. I purchased a laptop here. The sales guy actually talked me out of spending money on a more expensive laptop because it had things that don't suit my needs and would have been a waste of money. He also gave suggestions to my mom for a less expensive unit that would work for her. My laptop died (well, it turns out it was my VPN software interferring but I didn't know that then). They didn't bother to make me wait, they just gave me a new one. Prices are comparable to other places and the customer service was superb. I picked my Armor A60 Silicon Power portable drive and am very happy with its performance to date! It's shock proof sleek body makes me rest assured the disc remains operational in rugged conditions. In summary: - shop at Amazon prime - If "0" was an option, that would be my rate. - Don't order for store pick up! Ship it to your home instead from another company. Ordered a computer 11/29 under my husband's name and the woman checking us out decided to change everything in my name to make check out easier for herself, as we were using my Best Buy credit card. I clearly stated that my husband will be picking up the order, as I live an hour away, and my husband works about 20 minutes away from this Best Buy. When my husband went to pick up the order, we were given a hard time, stating that I had to be there since the order was under my name. Best Buy employees suggested that I would need to add my husband to the order on the app or online to be able to have him pick up the order. I tried and tried but was not able to do so, because it is not possible. It is only possible within 30 min of putting your order in. After 30 minutes of the run around, from getting suggestions from employees and looking all over the app, they finally figured out that I would need to call customer service to add my husband to the order. Customer service was so unhelpful and uninformed. They told me that they cannot add anyone to a store pick up. and also shared that they cannot call the store to communicate with them either. They did not even appear that they wanted to help address my concerns. I told her, I would like to cancel my order. She said she cannot whatsoever cancel my order and I would have to go to the store to physically cancel the order, which I found to be completely untrue. Following my frustrating call with customer service, I looked on the app and learned that I was now able to cancel my order online. Best Buy employees were not familiar with the Best Buy app and what customers can and cannot do on the app/online account. I ended up wasting 2 hours of my evening trying to figure out how to pick up my order and still ended up without my computer! Customer service stated she could not cancel my order even though it clearly stated online to call the customer service phone number to cancel online store orders that has already been paid for. Employees are not well trained and not informed causing a lot of unnecessary stress. I ended up cancelling my order and finding a a larger monitor for my computer on AmazonPrime for the same price that would have it shipped to my address in 4 days! Let's just say I don't plan to purchase anything with BestBuy for a while and I plan to cut my store credit card. Horrible experience. Due to COVID you would think BestBuy would have more options and more trained employees. Super disappointed with BestBuy. I will be shopping with AmazonPrime and other companies from now on. Prior to calling customer service, I attempted to add a person to my store pick up order online which there was a notice to call customer service. Normally don't write reviews that are for non-food stuff but this was the best experience I have ever had at a Best Buy. Walked in and was greeted by the gentleman at the security desk (between the entrance and exit) told him I was looking for an Alienware Keyboard (not all Best Buy's carry this and the store I went to previously had no clue what it was). He tells me exactly where it is and how to get there, as I'm walking over I notice one of the employees grab the keyboard I was looking for and grins as I walk up and says I think this is exactly what your looking for. I had a few questions about it and he answered them like he had studied the product before. A nice lady then came over and checked me out right there. I made an appointment through the Apple website for my son's iPhone to be fixed. I went to the GeekSquad and the guy was very helpful. But he couldn't fix my phone and directed me to Apple. The Apple sales person was very nice but needed to refer me to the Verizon rep, Ed. Ed was super helpful! He made, what normally seems like a long drawn out process, very quick and seamless. OK, where do I beggin. Bestbuy... you would think this would be the last place to get your system installed, but you are wrong. I trust MIKE (install manager) at the Best Buy in Marlborough (next to Solomon Pond Mall). Before I go into what I did, let me first start by stating that BEST BUY was like $1,000.00 cheaper then the next cheapest place that I got a quotes!!! THAT IS $700.00 CHEAPER!!!! THAT IS CRAZY. They have something called "a total tec package" that includes unlimited labor for $200.00. And this package is for the family (multiple cars). And you don't have to buy the stuff from them. I purchased a brand new Mazda6 2018 base model. They installed (i) LCQ-1 with the (ii)Arc-2 sub control remote. I brought them my 15 year old (iii) Alpine MDRM500 and my 15 year old (iv)12" W3. I brought them my 15 year old (v) Boston Acoustics ProSeries 6.53 and my 15 year old JL300.4 amp. My JL amp had liquid damage (has not been used in 10 years), besides the LCQ-1 which I bought new I ended up purchasing a 4 channel kicker amp from BestBuy. I told Mike to install the Arc sub-control remote switch where ever he thought it should go (as if this was his car). The end result was WOW WOW WOW... i can't believe how good of a job they did and the sytem sounds AWSOME!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Incredible. Also, Bestbuy is a authorized installer for Audio Controller.. the company that makes the LCQ-1 and you need an authorized installer to install the product to get the five year warranty!. My cross over for the Boston speakers are so big that they had to mount them under my seats... lol. My car has 3.5" on the dash, 6.5" in the door and tweeters near the mirror. The boston speakers are 6.5", 4" and tweeters. They had to shave my car to make the 4" speaker fit but they did it!!! and it looks amazing (can't see any thing cause they fit under the grill). They did charge me an extra $80 in labor for taking out my car seats and the extra work to get the 4" speakers to fit. TOTAL COST OF LABOR FOR MY JOB WAS $280.00!!!!!! They also price matched many items!!!! I purchased all wiring from Best Buy. IN ADDITION TO MY SYSTEM... I purchased a Kenwood double din deck with android auto and apple play plus a backup camera for my wife's 2012 Subaru Forester. They priced matched everything and the labor was FREE!!!!!!!!!!!! cause I got that total tec package!!!! My wife's radio sounds great even without amps and using the stock speakers (much improvement than the stock radio). I installed a harness so that her steering wheel buttons all worked! Again, MIKE at Marlborough BestBuy did an amazing job!!! I have also purchased a radar detector, hard wiring kit and mirror mount all not from bestbuy BUT MY TOTAL TEC PACKAGE INCLUDES FREE INSTALLATION!!! I have yet to install these items because I just purchased them but I did ask them about installing a hardwired kit for a radar detector and they told me it would be part of my total tec package. I never do reviews on yelp but I felt I had to cause of the price and service and quality of Mike's workmanship. My advice is you need to go to Marlborough and get Mike (ask for him!) to do any work on your car. My last system was installed by Tweeter (do you remember them?). Mike did a WAY better job at tuning my sound and doing such a quality install on everything. When they say... you get what you pay for... that is a lie. read more

First, this stupid rule that when you purchase an electronic on line that the Geek Squad warranty is attached to your telephone number or email, regardless of if you sign into your account or purchase as a guest, is plain DUMB. So when you purchase a gift for someone, Best Buy forces the gift receiver to go INTO the store shortly after purchase, With the original receipt (so now the receiver is aware of how much $ was spent), to switch the extended warranty into their name. This is according to the manager and 2 staff last night in the store. Because of that policy, I SPECIFICALLY TOLD STAFF TO REMOVE THE EXTENDED WARRANTY. They were able to PRINT OUT proof of my Trade In for a credit of $15, BUT WERE NOT ABLE TO PRINT THE RECEIPT SMH. So I print it out when I get home, after store is closed, and see that they DID NOT remove the $39.99 charge!!!!!! A bunch of feckin egits! If this wasn't for a friend recovering in ICU, I'd try to call and speak with a manager, but I'm going to guess they will tell me I'll need to drive all the way back to fix THEIR SLOPPY CUSTOMER SERVICE!!!!!!!!! read more

I could not be happier with the expertise from this Geek Squad....I brought in 2 Macs ...The first Mac was 14 months old and 2 weeks ago started loading web sites very slowly and then stalling needing rebooting and then the cycle would repeat ....It was fixed the next day and I dropped off my second Mac which is 10 years old and I was not getting full visibilities on websites and/or with-in some websites......This one was also fixed and picked up the next day with updated operating system and corresponding browser......so now I have 2 fully functional Macs that perform with lightning speed again....The Geek Squad Staff were totally professional tempered with an extremely personable persona.....Highly recommended...Thank you....Mark read more

The Best Buy here in Marlborough is typically a good store. It's about half a mile away from the Solomon Pond mall, so If you need anything that they don't have, why not venture down there? Anyway, I purchased my Bose headphones here at this particular location. I did not have any trouble or bad experiences like some people have mentioned in their reviews. Bought our Bosch dishwasher here. They had the right price and the sales associate that ordered it for me was extremely friendly and helpful. He answered all of my questions and went the extra mile to make sure the warehouse could deliver by the date we requested. Delivery was fast and the guys who installed it were polite and efficient.
