The local store phone number is forwarding their calls to an automated phone system out in California. No reference to hold time, customers ahead of you, or options. You either hold for 32 minutes (see attached) before they answer, or you hang up. That's it. read more

Had my install time change FOUR times for various reasons; the third one I agreed to pick up the equipment from Mesquite then drive to Plano at my appointment time. . . then the appointment time I had in an email was two hours before the time the Plano place had. . . . now I am still trying on my fourth attempt for an install but have to drive Frisco from East Dallas to get it down. Best Buy has offered zero compensation of any sort. . . guess they are successful and busy enough they don't need to worry about one guy. Okay. It's two days after Christmas and you have one register opened and a line of 20 plus people waiting to check-out. To make matters worse, the one register that's open is serving both the online pick-up and the in store customer check-out. Apparently, if you have a an online pick-up you have priority because those individuals were allowed to walk-in and skip all of us who were patiently waiting to check-out. What annoys me more than anything is when you pay an employee, those standing at the front door with a yellow shirt who almost never greats you, to watch a monitor to ensure customers aren't stealing but you can't pay employees to adequately serve customers is a disgrace to the community that supports you and the customers who choose Best Buy over some of the other competitors. After waiting 15 minutes and fifth in line, I placed my product down and walked out of the store. I won't come to this location again. I will drive to the one off of 75 before I drive back to this place. read more

Discriminated against me I have a health condition. I am unable to wear a mask. I was told that I have to wear a mask. I explained to them that I was unable to wear one. They refused to give me service. The law says that if you have a health condition that you do no have to wear one. I was told that I have to have a note from my physician about not wearing masks. It is a HIPPA violation for my physician to write a note. It is a Civil Rights Violation for Bestbuy not to serve me. This is a terrible company. I went to another store about a mile away & got service without any issues. My advice is to go somewhere else. If it were not for the phone I wanted being $50 through Sprint & free at Best Buy, I would not have stayed, but $50 is $50! When we first arrived it looked as if all the Customer Service Reps were busy, but eventually Jasmine came up to us, stopping to give a couple of flirtatious pokes to a male coworker standing just behind my husband. Jasmine was very nice and personable, especially to my disabled teenage daughter, but was lacking in maturity. Soon after she started helping us, there was a phone call for the area, and instead of the girl sitting next to Jasmine (apparently not doing anything) answering the phone, or Jasmine handing the call off to her, she helped the customer on the phone, without reference to in store customers. We got through our transaction and was getting ready to leave when the girl next to Jasmine did answer the phone and gave the customer incorrect information about Sprint, and Sprint products. I do not know why these immature teenagers get jobs that many adults could do more efficiently, especially when the unemployment rate is so high! read more

Firstly, I'd like to say I had a positive experience with the sales agent, Austin, who was helpful. However, shortly after I was met with a rather distasteful and exhausting experience starting with the difficulty I was presented with, when the the staff began applying an avertised promotional deal, which took over an hour in itself, without any real resolve. Austin kept me informed every step of the way and made this time consuming experience a little more pleasant. I left with my purchase with no apologies from the manager for the inconvenience and misinformation. Upon arriving home, I began unpacking my TV, Sound Bar, Wall Mounts and Roku TVs. Starting with the TV, I discovered missing items in my open box TV purchase, namely the remote. This was not mentioned and I had no knowledge that a remote would not be included as it wasn't relayed to me, however I was informed, after traveling back to the store to address this that admittedly it was an oversight on the stores behalf. Despite returning to purchase a remote, the manager, Joey, provided no assistance. Joey didn't offer any concessions and blamed his associate for not opening the box and checking what was inside, which still resulted in me spending additional money to purchase a remote. After returning home, I did some research and found the overall cost of open box TV and replacement remote exceeded that of a new TV. Disappointed with the customer service, I returned to Best Buy for the THIRD TIME today. I exchanged the open box TV and remote, opting to purchase a new TV. On March 3rd, 2023 My Wife and I decided to buy a tv for our bedroom. I went to the Best Buy located @ 2701 N Mesquite Dr. Mesquite TX (Best Buy-Mesquite #54) I purchased an LG 55" tv and when I got home and opened the box, My Wife and I noticed the tv was not the correct size but it was also damaged and missing the remote control, tv stand, and power adapter. I put the tv back in the box and went back to the store. That's when everything went downhill! the "General Manager" Jimmy Nunez took one look at the tv and said he would not be able to do ANYTHING for me. I explained to him that's what came out of the box and that I had My Wife and kids witness when I opened the box and took the tv out of the box. As he continued to refuse to help I was in shock and very surprised that he would not even try to investigate where the tv came from, I work in I.T. and I know every equipment can be traced in the system by way of serial number/model number and or such..... he chose to humiliate me instead and insinuate that I had something to do with this. I became very irate and threaten to call the cops, I told him I would save him some time and call the cops myself (which I did) I explained to the police officers the situation and asked them to please come to my house to speak to my Wife and kids to confirm the events but they refused. They advise me to leave the store. I asked Mr. Nunez for his Boss and he gave me an email address: Terry.Dilts@bestbuy.com and told me that he was on vacation and would not be getting back to me anytime soon as to add more wood to the fire! I called my credit union to report the incident. I called the complaint dept. and asked for a call back from anyone in the upper management of complaints. It's going on 3 days now and I have not heard back from anyone! This Jerk not only ruined my weekend but also accused me of doing something I have no need for what's so ever. I get paid very well as an I.T. professional and have a very healthy bank account, I am a very honest person but Mr. Nunez decided to judge me by the color of my skin and not my character. Geek squad, give me a break. First of all they were not welcoming. Attitude of, "why are you here?" After 2 days I find out it will be 12 days or more before they can get to my computer. They should have told me that when I CALLED and made an appointment! The people checking it in made no mention of the turn around. My fiancé and I ordered a charging station for our Xbox one controllers. We ordered it online through in store pickup and was given a notification that it would be ready for pick up in an hour. An hour and a half passed and we had not heard anything. So we drove over to Best Buy and went straight to the in store pick up counter. They had received the order but it seemed like everyone just put it off in hopes of the next guy would take care of it. By the time we actually got to the counter, it was not ready. I went in to my local Best Buy, knew what I wanted. Went directly there and it was locked up. No associates around. Went to the loss prevention/ welcome desk. Told, yes, told to go back and he'd get somebody over there. Waited for 10 minutes, had to go stare Mr. Congeniality down, finally somebody came, he had to go find the key to case holding the previous device I was walked back to a register, wouldn't let me take a look at the product, or take it and look around some more. They didn't offer any solution to this issue. They did the bare minimum by literally peeking in the back and saying we didn't have it. I'm not sure why the low review of this Best Buy. I have always had a very positive experience at this place and actually prefer it over the BB located off Park and 75. Staff is ALWAYS helpful...from the young man in the home appliances who helped me find a SWEET deal on my washer and dryer to the helpful people in the computer department who answered my questions about my laptop. All these sales people are LOW PRESSURE, helpful and seem to go out of their way to get you what you need. I've never had any issues with returning items. I will admit that I have had some bad customer service experiences at this store in the past-but maybe they have turned a corner because I have been nothing but pleased with my frequent visits over the last several months. The people in the TV dept are knowledgeable and seem sincere in their desire to help. I now make sure to check the open box sections of this dept every time I am near the store. I was able to purchase 3 blu ray players with wifi for 69.99 a piece-two of them were really great Sonys! I also found a great 24 inch LCD open box for my daughter's room at right at 100 bucks. Deals like this just can't be beat. I also like that they base the price of the extended warranty on the sales price of the item and not its original price. Saves some money there too. I had to return one of the blu ray players and they were very quick and courteous with the exchange-and even plugged it in to eject my kids disc when I realized I had left it in there. If the last few visits are any indication, I will have no reservations coming here whenever I need an electronics fix! read more

I am unhappy with my Best Buy experiences and I have figured out why. They set themselves up to sell you defective products so they can continue to get money out of you. Over a 2-3 month period, I spent about $4,000 on products. Now, the most expensive item, a $2,500 computer system started having issues. They want another $200 a year to keep it in running shape. This was after only after about 3 months of owning it. I am sick of companies that get away with doing this. Money is too hard to come by to have this kind of service. Though I have to say, I've always received great customer service from the Geek Squad, so no issues there. This recent visit was unrelated to them, as I went to purchase an item and encountered rude and disrespectful employees who were very unwilling to help. HORRIBLE MANAGER. i would give zero stars if i could. my boyfriend bought a 50 inch samsung tv from best buy last sunday. the particular employee that helped us was flat out rude and had a sour attitude. we tried to hang it the day we bought it but couldn't bc the screws to the mount were too short. after waiting all week we decided to go to home depot and get correct screws yesterday, friday. my boyfriend had work this morning so i hung the tv alone. after it's mounted i plug it in and turn it on to see the screen is broken on the left side about a quarter into the screen. since it's hours until my boyfriend gets home i deal with the broken screen so i can watch netflix to sustain my boredom. when i try to return the damaged tv the manager comes to the desk and says they won't take it back because netflix is already programmed into it. i tried to explain to him i did it, it was better than having no tv and he pretty much told me that's not logical and they won't exchange it. my only option is to have a samsung tech come out and fix it to which he then follows up with a snarky comment of "its honestly better to just buy a new tv. it costs the same." due to the first rude employee, the manager being small minded and not listening, and the broken tv i can say i won't be back for ANY appliance/accessory. read more
