TERRIBLE SERVICE AT GEEK BAR, ladies that work there super unprofessional. I showed up to an appointment within my time frame checked in & one of the workers decided that it was the best idea to have my appointment cancelled & rescheduled after second attempt of rescheduling. If they do not have time to help & fix one then they shall modify website to not take appointments. People are just pure lazy. Mind you there was other people on the screen for 5pm & later. After they stated that i received a message saying that i had missed my appointment. How does that work if i am present & you're deciding to CANCEL it?!? read more

What a complete letdown. I don't get many days off, and today was one of those rare chances to knock out a project: mounting a Samsung Frame TV. I did everything right. Ordered an open-box unit from Best Buy on Bluebonnet. It was marked as "good condition," with no notes about missing parts. I trusted that, like in the past, Best Buy had inspected and confirmed everything was there. I brought it back to Central, opened it up, and immediately realized it was missing the mounting bracket, the remote, all documentation, basically everything but the screen. Disappointed, I contacted Best Buy support. As usual, the representative was polite and apologetic, said it wouldn't be a problem, provided a case number, checked stock availability, and informed me that I could bring it to any Best Buy location to resolve the issue. I appreciated that and thanked her. I chose the Millerville location because it's closer to me. Big mistake. The moment I walked in, the energy was off. Even the greeter seemed fed up. After explaining the situation to the first associate, who had never even heard of a case number, a supervisor came over and fumbled around in the system. He eventually brushed it off and said, "I don't think I'll need the case number anyway." I pushed back, explaining everything had already been worked out with support. His response? "They shouldn't have told you that." Instead of exchanging the TV (as promised), they decided to process it as a return, but only after they verified it worked. Mind you, I never plugged it in. I repacked it and drove straight back once I realized it was missing components. They spent over 10 minutes trying to figure out how to power the device on. Three employees were huddled around the TV, completely baffled. At that point, I asked just to get my money back. I wasn't interested in watching the Geek Squad struggle with a power cable. One of the supervisors, a young woman whose name started with a C, was incredibly rude. She snapped that if I wouldn't let them do their job (which was apparently figuring out how to plug in a TV), I could leave. Eventually, and only after I stood my ground, they refunded me. What made it worse was how they handled the situation. When I pointed out how poorly it was packed (the screen was facing the accessories that had been left loose in the box), the supervisor just shrugged and said, "Well, it's an open box." I reminded him that it was labeled as "inspected" and in "good condition." That clearly didn't mean anything. I've spent over $6,000 at Best Buy over the years, including photography gear (Canon 7D, Canon R6, lenses, and flashes), appliances, and more. Today, they made it very clear that loyalty doesn't matter. They didn't care about the inconvenience, my wasted Saturday, or how poorly the store handled the return. And just to emphasize: four employees couldn't figure out how to plug in a TV. Just the power cord. This was one of the worst customer service experiences I've had in years. I'll never spend another dime at Best Buy. Do yourself a favor: buy your electronics online or from a store that actually values your time and business. read more

Hello, I would like people to know that Best Buy does not stand by their TV s. I bought a 40" pioneer LED HD smart TV. on December 6. online and picked it up at the Millerville store in Baton Rouge. On the morning of May 21 my TV just stopped turning one. I checked the remote, called tech support, did some check with them with unplugging the TV trying stuff with the remote. my warrenty was still good, and i was told to bring it in to the Best Buy on Millerville were i pick it up from. The two Greek Squard worker looked at it plugged it in all this behind the counter. ok 2 mins later thay tell be we found a small scratch on the screen., and catch send it to get fixed, saying its damaged. They could not tell if this scratch, i never saw before bringing it into the store is the cause . I asked for a manager, and she looks at it and said the manufacturer, would just send it back, if they sent it off to be fixed. I will never buy a TV from Best Buy again,. Walked in for a charger, left with a new gaming laptop! Husband and I have been playing lots of Pokémon rom hacks and my old MacBook just wasn't cutting it for performance. We tried to boot it up to play this morning and realized the charger broke. Headed to Best Buy, but sadly they didn't have it in stock. The only reason for the 4 star review is because they were out of a lot of merchandise, which likely isn't their fault due to the shortages. Ended up looking at some laptops and met Bruce, the manager who gave us an amazing deal on a gaming laptop that we couldn't pass up! Highly recommend him, and our cashier was extremely nice, polite, and helpful as well. You might have to wait a minute for help, as they seemed busy, but it was well worth the wait for the product we got and the service! read more

Was met with the RUDEST manager Joseph. When I arrived I went to the apple counter and a lady told me "you need to get them at checkout". After waiting in line I told the guy at the counter I wanted to purchase a pair of AirPod pro max's and then was sent out of line to another guy (did not know it was the manager at the time). I asked him if he could help and was sent to him to pick up the headphones. The manager told me I had to go wait in line (I had just gotten out of). After being sent all the store for a pair of AirPod Pro Maxs I was confused and still polite to Joseph. I explained I was just sent to the line and they sent me to Joseph. While explaining all above he stopped me mid sentence with a very annoyed look and said "hold up" while I was speaking to him about the issue. Then added with a rude tone "I'll go get them" (which I didn't ask him to do) with a very annoyed look/ tone. I then waited for him to tell the other guy "look up and see if we have them" and then continued to ignore us. Once he looked and saw they weren't there (via the computer) not even looking. He said "we don't have them". Offered to order them online- but I decided to leave after being met with such hostility and rudeness. I was doing what I was being told by his employees. Next time be more clear to your employees about what to do with direction. Also as a manager you are one of the faces of the store... being met with the annoyed tone and hostility is completely wrong as a manager. I will no longer use this location. read more

I had the worst experience I have ever had in my life. My son has a greenlight card and it didn't go through for some reason and then my debit card didn't go through inside the store, so we walked outside to buy it online. It went through fine. So we came back in and told them and waited for the same item we had already pulled which was already up front. We waited in a long line of like 8 people and it took forever as they were having issues. Then we got there and they said it's not ready. I said it's right there. So asked for the Manager. The Manager came out and was pretty upset they had to do some actual work. They said sounds like you need to contact your bank. Well if it was my bank obviously it would not have gone through online. Then they told me to calm down. Well I have proof of payment, proof it's ready for pickup, been waiting 40 minutes and you can't reach 2 feet to give me the product. I asked them to cancel my purchase and he said you cancel it. I was furious, but I then calmed down because my son really wanted this item and his little eyes were like please just let's get it. Otherwise, I would have proceeded to cancel the transaction and not give this store any of my hard earned money. Please get some folks that want to work here as this was terribly Managed. A Manager should deescalate the situation and not come confrontationally with a paying customer. read more

Basically said that they couldn't help us. Said we should have opened the box at the store! Really .... You sell broke products to consumers and expect them to eat the cost! Don't buy from here! Terrible customer service,no one approached me nor no one in site during the 30 min during the time I was looking at security system/cameras for my home, waited around until I finally saw a employee which I then asked for help, he said "are u buying or just looking"? I then replied nicely "That shouldn't MATTER? I just have a few questions about the brand. He told me just a minute I'll get someone to help you. I waited an extra 15 or so minutes and started to leave the store since I was there over an hour by this time. As I was walking out I approached the store manager at the door and told him the customer service here is terrible and should do something about it. His only response to me was a head nod. I went to purchase some JBL headphones that were on sale for $99, regularly priced $199. The guy who worked there was not much help at all nor was he trying to be or willing to find someone else to help. He got the wrong headphones out of the case even though we told him it was the wrong ones and only after we showed him the correct pair online on my phone did he get the correct pair. He could not tell me the difference between the two products. He insisted they were both regularly priced $199 even though the one he tried to get me to purchase showed it was regularly $129 on the website. There was no sample headphones to listen to for the pair he was trying to get me to buy. He couldn't tell me if either pair were iPhone compatible. He said, "it should." I'm thinking, why do you work here? He didn't seem interested in finding someone else who would be more enthusiastic about waiting on me. I finally just chose the pair I wanted originally and if they don't work out, I'll bring them back. Best Buy you've got to do better! read more

Unbelievable that they don't put purchases in a bag. When I asked for a bag was told they charge 10 cents...my purchase was over 300! Not to mention the literal thousands I have spent in this store throughout the years. The person checking me out did not mention it to me until I asked for him to put it in a bag. So, what, charge a dime as I never have cash? Rediculous! Very poor business decision on their part...the guy should have given me a bag or at the very least told me this BEFORE checking me out. The only reason I'm giving it 3 stars is because the employees working in the Apple department the day I was there offered assistance immediately upon entering their section. I was looking for the Apple watches in the Cell phone and Smart watch section for about 5 minutes and passed at least 7 employees who offered no assistance. Three never looked up from playing on their cell phones. I wanted to post their picture but decided not to post it. If Best Buy wants proof of what I have written, I do have the picture. Worst Best Buy I have ever been in. I walked in to the cell phone station with 5 employees there. All on their phones. Two were laughing about something on their phone. Two were looking at their phones. One was on the phone. Another young employee walks up and we ask for help from him because even though we were standing there the cellphone cRew were mesmerized by their phones And COMPLETELY RUDE. Anyway, this young man worked in another dept said he would go look but his face and demeanor was he didn't want to be bothered. We said oh we will come w you. To which he looked thoroughly disgusted (meaning he had planned to come back quickly and say they didn't have it.). We kept trying to explain what we needed and he couldn't seem to understand. He said it is in the cell phone Dept. I asked could he show us and he said no I work in another Dept. We go back to pHones. We start looking still no one is helping. I go to The girl on the floor w her phone and computer making funny faces and ask. She said I work for Samsung. One girl has left. I go back to counter they don't say a word. The guy was on phone working. The girl with dreads rolled her eyes while I'm trying to explain what I need to the guy now off phone ( the manager has quietly walked up while I'm getting loud and obviously agitated). All while I'm talking dreads keeps interrupting, rolling her eyes and belittling what I'm saying. They ask what model car bc it must be old. I said no. Jan 15,2020 on the sticker. Bc Mgr there dreads grudgingly takes me to an area and says we don't have anything. Meanwhile my husband finds what we're looking for. Sad thing is we are just passing through headed to MD Anderson for back surgery He hAs stage 4 cancer. We get ready to pay No one at any register. I have to try to get guy that stands at front door attention twice before he says yes that's where you check out. I look over to store pick up where a girl was helping a couple with something they ordered and she said I'll check you out. No one was working at check out. I went to this store about a week ago and purchased a sound bar/ home theater system for pickup the next day. Something went wrong and the order was changed to pickup for a week later. I was completely fine with this as I know that COVID has been playing an effect on business. When the day came to pick it up I never got any notifications or anything saying it was ready. So I decided to stop by the store on the way home and see what was going on. Kaitlyn at customer service told me that the order accidentally went on hold and was able to fix the situation and I could not be more happy. Thank you Kaitlyn for excellent customer service and for helping me get this issue fixed. I definitely will continue using the location for future purchases! read more

The rude manager accused me of opening a product. I said I didn't open it and he walked away from me (in a huff). He said that he told me ok, then walked away. He did not reply to my face. I then followed him to the front of the store and asked for another manager. He came up and said since I didn't open a product there was no issue. I told him his employee was rude and that was an issue. He continued to side with his employee. I've always been treated well here but won't EVER shop here again. We just spent $5k on tv and speakers and to get treated that rudely is not ok. read more

"Super helpful and courteous staff". I have been here a couple times during the last several days. The first day I was there was to look at the the iPhone 6+. Even though there were bunch of people at the store looking at the new iPhone, the employee was still nice enough to pay some attention to me and answer many questions I had with the new iPhone and the new upcoming Note-4 Today, I returned and they had a lot less people and it was nice to have a greeter at the door. It is nice to see that the store is well-organizaed and that people are not afraid to work. They way exceeded my expectations from how I was treated previously in other Best Buy locations. I had pre-ordered the Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge. Most places were giving away the Gear VR Headset for free, but Best Buy topped all others by throwing in a 64GB SD card. Awesome deal! I got the email today that the phone was ready to be picked up. I went in to get the phone. There were 3 people being helped and 2 people in front of me. It was a 45 minute wait before it was my turn to be helped. One of the people who was being helped when I got there was still being helped when I sat down. Once seated, it was just a matter of waiting for the paper work to print out. That added another to my visit as the AT&T servers were getting slammed because of the S7 people all showing up at the same time to get their phone. The biggest drawback was the time it took to get, what should have been a simple process, done. The real pro of this experience was the person who was taking care of me. She was very apologetic about how long this was taking and appreciated my patience. read more

He was the only employee in his section and left his section to assist my family in finding the other items, checking us out, and loading our car outside! Very friendly, patient, and eager to help! Before I left the store she cranked up her phone and I got to dance around Best Buy to one of my favorite songs... Hurt You by Toni Braxton. I had fun and got an incredible sounding speaker. I did a TV warranty trade in. I had no problem with that. Now I mistakenly left my TV brackets on the old tv. I went back and forth on this issue with geek squad for over a week. I finally called the Baton Rouge, LA Millerville location and asked for a supervisor. The matter was handled in within minutes. They gave me a new mount free of charge. Unhappy with Best Buy Millerville! Being held HOSTAGE by them in my humble opinion! Bought an attaché case to carry iPad Mini and paperwork in. Bought it 9/13/17 $51.69. Part of the strap broke 11/2/17. Went to bogus buy today and asked for refund based on shoulder strap breaking in such a short time. Got the 15 day return policy speech! Let's see 50 days so I paid a smidge over a dollar a day for usage of case. Which incidentally wasn't used every day. They were willing to give me a gift card in lieu of my money. Therefore I feel like a hostage. They will get to send the case back based on workmanship and get a replacement to sell! I on the other hand have to decide what to do with this gift card! 1) Shred it so I don't have to deal with Bogus Buy! 2) Sell it on the FB Marketplace for a discount to get some money back! 3) Give it to grandchild who would gladly run back within 15 days! 4) Buy and return something every 15 days! I need to think about this because clearly I am livid about this! I don't want to go back!!!!! I tried to post this on their FB page but I don't see it! My husband went into this Best Buy yesterday to pick up an order that he purchased online. The woman at the counter that helped him (Tia) was incredibly rude and was basically accusing him of trying to pick up someone else's order because the order was under my name since he used my paypal account and my paypal has my maiden name on it. He had an email confirmation on his phone for the order, the order number, and offered to give her my phone number to which she said she needed to get the manager because he "definitely isn't Lydia S." She also continuously interrupted him as he was trying to get the information she needed for him to pickup the order. She then tells the manager she doesn't know what to do because this guy is "definitely not Lydia S." and he doesn't have her phone number (which is not true). The manager then gets the phone number from my husband because he spoke up and let the manager know he did in fact have my phone number and that was that and the manager got him the order and sent him on his way. The way the manager handled it was totally fine, but the woman at the counter should never have accused him of not being able to pick up the order just because our last names weren't the same (I have changed my last name, but it's 2020 like come on lady..). We did not appreciate being treated so rudely after purchasing an expensive item from their store and it makes us not want to go back. read more

Look this location's info up and call them on the phone.... except your call won't be answered at that location but rather at a call center. The call center will forward your call to the actual store but it will never be answered......and when you hang up and call back he'll then admit that he already knew that your call wouldn't be answered because "it's a daily problem but nothing is done about it"!
