The store was clean and did have staff available to help. The selection was poor and prices were different at register even asking how much the cost. Once upon a time, I recall Best Buy at least tried to be competitive. These days, though, it looks like whoever is in charge of setting prices just doesn't care anymore. Best Buy now has some of the most laughably awful prices I have seen among retail stores. I literally laughed out loud when I saw the same RAM module I'd just bought online being sold for FIVE TIMES as much at a local store. And their prices on DVDs are about 30% higher than what WalMart charges for the same thing. Ever since Compusa went out of business Best Buy has been my "go to" store for computer stuff when I can't wait to order over the Internet. I've been going to this store ever since it opened. Over the last year I've noticed a decrease in customer service. Today I came in to get some computer accessories for a meeting later today. Found what I needed and discovered there were no cashiers open. A sign said to go to customer service to check so I did. Of course some guy got there before me and started a long explanation on a return. And only one clerk at the desk. Ok, life happens so I waited patiently. Then another employee, looked very bored and her face buried in a smartphone, slowly strolled up to the counter. And parked her behind against the back counter behind the working employee while she played with her phone. At this point my patience ended. I put the items on the shelf and unsuccessfully looked for a manager to talk to. Guess it wasn't meant to be so I left without buying anything. On the way out I saw the guy returning the item was still tying up the one clerk at the customer service desk. Guess I need to find a new "go to" store for my computer buys. read more

Stopped to grab a screen protector for an Apple watch and when I checked out, the kid asked if I wanted them to install it for $8 because apparently they're hard to get on. I'm guessing it was bring your kid to work day, because I'm pretty sure a 5 year old put it on. There was obvious dust under it and they tried to pass it off as a good job. The kid couldn't understand why I wasn't happy. Just told him to give me my whole money back and I'll go somewhere else. We're halfway between this Best Buy and the one at Village Pointe. Given the horrible customer service we experienced here at the Shadowlake location, we will now always opt for the one at Village Pointe. Several times we needed help finding what we came to buy, and we were ignored the first time. The second time we showed them online what we wanted, and we were told what section to go to instead of being taken there, and then we still couldn't find it. Finally when we checked out with less than what we came for, the clerk ignored us to go help someone else, even though we were in line ahead of them. Our visit here was frustrating and disappointing. I come here about once every month or so. EVERY TIME I've been here the employees were SUPER nice and knowledgeable. I came here about 6 months ago and bought computer monitor and keyboard that I bought online and came to store to pick up. Had a hiccup but that was an online issue, not the store's. I went there a few months ago to get a keyboard and the staff was very friendly. Best Buy has a huge assortment of things you may want, so it gets a couple of stars for convenience. Beyond that, I have a few problems. First, the price isn't very competitive. Sure they have reward points, but I reward myself with cheaper prices elsewhere. Besides, with any system you will pay for those points somehow in prices. The other problem is that every time I go here, I find too many sales people being overly helpful. When I tell them, I'm ok and I don't need their help, why do I often get employees looking over my shoulder and suggesting something? If I want their help, I'll ask - I'm not shy! A warning to all buyers!! Stay away from best buy in Papillon!! I have purchased 3 TV's, 3 sound bars, a Dell computer, monitors, ethernet cables, hdmi cables, and a 4k blu ray dvd player. I have spent thousands of dollars with this best buy. The dvd player is defective and does not work properly. I was told that due to the vendor best buy is not allowed to exchange this product due to it being outside the 14 day window. He told me that it is not up to best buy and they do not get a say in this. However, if I was to purchase the extended warranty, then I would be able to exchange it. It's like magic! The vendor will not allow best buy to exchange their products but if I give best buy extra money then like magic they are able to exchange it! Never again will I make another purchase with best buy, nor will my company purchase the 9, 55" TV's for our office areas and gift give aways, all over a $200 blu ray player. This smug arrogant guy got defensive and backed up from me when I mentioned how stupid it sounds to say the vendor will not allow your store to exchange my product in any way due to their set rules, but if I was to give best buy extra money for a protection plan, then like magic I'm able to exchange my product. Then this smug arrogant little man, instead of explaining this to me, tells me it doesn't matter and what it boils down to is that they have the lowest prices in town and he's not worried about losing our business. I will NEVER spend my money at a Best Buy again. I went to this location today to purchase a computer. They did not have the computer in stock but the 76th and dodge location did. I drove up there and purchase the computer as well as a virus software ($20) and the Microsoft office programs($129.99). I know nothing about computers so I assumed everything was fine and dandy. I got the computer home installed the virus software and proceeded to try installing the Microsoft office software. I then realized that they had given me a card for a mac, not PC. I grab my receipt and took the card back to the Papillion location. They pretty much said that because I had scratched the barcode off that they couldn't exchange it for me even though it was their mess up. I tried calling their customer service phone number and the most that the lady said she was able to do was give me a $40 Best Buy gift card. I'm so glad that I wasted $129.99 on something that I can't use and that they are unwilling to exchange it or make it right. Way to go Best Buy. read more

All I needed was a laptop charger. I was in a rush and was relieved someone was at the front of the store. I explained what I needed and that I would need some help. I was directed where to go and someone would be sent to help right away. Two other customers joined me in a search for a cord for their computer. The last one I got online was $11. The least expensive one they had was $59. No one ever came to assist, I left and went without for a day and got one express delivered for $11 + $3 for quick shipping. We came here looking for an adapter I couldn't find elsewhere. The gentleman who helped us because we couldn't find it anywhere was very kind and helpful. He was prompt and had us on our way. PLEASE do not use the Geek Squad to ever do any audio system installs on your vehicle. First off I brought in the radio and parts to be installed and they told me I needed to buy $200.00 of more supplies to make the system work with the controls in my steering wheel. Of course they make you pay up front before the install. After two hours they called me and told me it was done. I arrived 10 minutes later to pick it up. The installer left so the "other guy" had to tell me my steering wheel controls wont work blaming the radio I had purchased! Even after I paid 130.00 for a harness to do just that. After going around and around with this guy, I was told no refunds. So now I have a audio system that I cant control from the steering wheel. Watch out for their Geek Squad Protection plans, it doesn't cover breakage if you accidentally bump into your TV and it falls to the ground and the screen cracks. That aspect of the plan was not made clear to me when I bought it. It is a waste of money and watch out, they're very eager to sell one of these plans to you. I originally visited the Village Point Best Buy to reserve a copy of Call of Duty Infinite Warfare, but I was told that they would not be holding a midnight launch for the game, so the manager directed to this Best Buy since they would be holding a midnight launch. Once I showed up to reserve my copy, I had to wait quite awhile before I received any help. When I did finally receive help from a sales rep I specifically if the Pallion Best was in fact holding a midnight launch for the game. The sales rep was not sure, so he confirmed with his manager that yes infact they would hold a release event for the game. Come release day I called in to triple confirm that the midnight was infact happening. I was told the event would go from 11pm-1am that same day, but to my surprise there was no launch event or anything. There was no reason to reserve the Call of Duty from this Best Buy or any Best Buy. I have been burnt by Best Buy before, but I am done with this terrible customer survice all these lies. Don't go here to get your remote start installed. They bad mouth the competition claiming they have to redo the competition's work but in fact, their work is poor. They took 7 hours to install my remote start when they said it would take 4 and I told them I had to wait for it. They were dishonest about how much it would cost, charging $50 more than they said they would charge...had I not had to already wait for the appointment I would have left but didn't want to have to wait 2 more weeks to get in somewhere else. The key fab we got was supposed to lock and unlock the doors as well so we would just have one. That part doesn't work. It just starts the engine but the unlock/lock pieces on both key fabs doesn't work so you have to believe they didn't connect everything. One of the boys (I say boys because this kid looked like he was 16) is a real punk who I hope to never come across again. He shouldn't be working with the public. read more
