My husband went to get his copy of Halo this morning at Best Buy and there was an old guy with a beard that worked there. My husband had until tomorrow,August 4,2026 to pick up his copy of Halo and his order was canceled for no reason! My husband explained to the staff person that he just got home from the hospital and he was picking up his copy of Halo. The staff person was extremely rude and snarky and said to my husband,"Well,I don't know what to tell you its the computer's fault not mine!" Instead of offering to go and get the game for my husband,the staff person refused to help him by getting a copy of Halo off of the shelf! The staff person just stood there and said in a snarky tone,"Have a nice day!" Really? It would have taken all of two seconds to go and grab the game off of the shelf,and help the customer. Especially when the game was already prepaid and there was a copy of it right on the shelf! I have been a loyal Best Buy customer since I bought my first computer there in 1995. I have used the Geek Squad's expertise over the years, with trust and great success. That is no longer the case. I don't want to even go into the Best Buy store anymore, let alone use the technical services. I purchased a Dell Inspirin 16 from Best Buy in the summer of 2024. A couple of weeks ago the screen would lock and when I shut down, the keyboard wouldn't work until I had put in a 48 digit bitlock code. I made an appointment with the Geek Squad at the Saginaw Best Buy on November 20th and explained the problem I was having. Since I was going to be out of town, I stated I would pick up the computer on Monday, November 24th. When I picked up the computer, the lady explained what they had done to repair the problem and wished me good luck on my Zoom call on Tuesday morning. When I returned home and turned on the computer, I found that the keyboard was nonfunctioning. I called to let them know about the problem, and when I didn't receive a call back, I drove back to Saginaw with the computer. I explained that I had tried to call and the younger man at the counter said "And what did they say?" Since they didn't call back, I explained the problem. He said, "What do you want me to do about it?" This phrase was used repeatedly throughout our discussion and he said it couldn't be fixed until Microsoft fixed the problem. I asked why I hadn't been told that the keyboard wasn't working when I picked up the computer. When I asked for an apology, he laughed at me. I asked to speak to a manager, and he said he didn't know who was available. I again asked for a manager. He placed a call, and within a short time a manager came to the counter. He reviewed the work order that I had received, plugged in a keyboard, and attempted to download the keyboard drive. The keyboard still didn't work on the laptop. I asked if there was anything I could do to use the computer, and he suggested that I purchase a stand-alone keyboard, which I did. read more

If you buy a gift for someone they expect you to make sure that that merchandise is satisfactory within 15 days.if you shop early and there is a problem you are out your money.they keep quoting stor police and when ask where is the sign to inform customers of this they (store manager) say that they don't have to post one. I for one don't think that best buy cares about customer satisfaction or stand behind the products they sell. Got the worst service from the Geek Square. Made an appointment to get my phone fixed and then they changed the date to make sure they could get proper parts in. I was fine with that. Then they set up second appointment, which I agreed to. Then confirmed the appointment with me a couple times making sure I'd come in on time. When I got there they said they had no parts. Don't order anything online from this Best Buy and think you're going to be able to return it easily!!!! I ordered two phones cases on bestbuy web site. I also ordered two phones and a printer and printer Inc and some other stuff adding up to $833.00. Then my order came I ordered the wrong cases. I thought no biggie I'll just take to store when I pick up my Fitbit I ordered. I got the fit bit to pick up at store because was getting close to Christmas. So they where two lines I waited in one for pickup and wife waited in the return line. Well that took a min. There where lots of people getting there Xmas stuff. I got what I order on line. This was on December 18 2019 same day I pick up Fitbit same time. Then this guy was telling my wife she would not return or exchange. so then I pulled up order on my phone and he told me that I had to do all returns online. This was The first time needed to exchange or return an item that I purchased online from Best buy so I said okay we went home I waited on the phone for an over an hour for someone to talk to me about how to return this item eventually I got pissed and I hung up. I went out and bought my kids new phone cases somewhere else then after Christmas was over and everything slowed down I tried it again and I was able to get a person on the phone to set up a store return. so then we went down to Flint cuz I was going to the different location because I didn't want to be harassed by that guy again in Saginaw. Again he could have told me all you had to do is hit pull up the order for that one item and hit the return in store but no he did not do that. Nobody in the store I walk up to the line and I go to return these two items and I have them pulled up my phone with me and I also have on my phone where it shows return app store it. The associate in the returns tells me you have to do that online I said I did this is my second time to your stores and she said well you have to return online. I said no I don't and I showed her that on my phone. I show her where it says return to store off my phone. she said well I don't know how to do that I said well that's not my problem. just wanted the money back on my card. Honestly it wasn't even about the credit on my card it was about getting my return like I felt I was entitled to for all the money I spent from Best buy. I would have purchased more stuff there if I would have got it before Christmas like I originally tried to. Just want back on my credit card she said I don't know how to do that. I said well you have to take them cuz it says The app shows her on my phone return to the store. Then she says well I can take them if you want me to but you're not going to get your return That's when I got pretty upset. Second time I've been down here I said I live I literally live 2 hours from Flint and at least an hour from Saginaw location this will be the last time I order anything online from Best buy. I did get my return but it shouldn't have been that difficult and I should not have deal with that many people I should not have had to wait on hold for the online support people tell me to press the button on my phone for return to store. People in your store should have known how to do that since you are a geek squad you call yourself I don't think so computer tech don't think so. I have shopped here for many years-Saginaw, Bay Rd location. I recently needed a new router and needed to keep the old one, still usable, until I could get the new one installed thus not able to use the recycling option which gets you a good discount. Their selection of routers is less than expected but the employee was able to help me get what needed and also showed me what was available online to compare. When I went back to the store a few days later to get another product I was able to get the recycling discount applied to my current purchase. There seems to be fewer employees than I remember in the store. BB could do well with the system where you press a button in the area of interest for assistance. I've seen them that the employees are notified and one answers they are on their way or will be there in five minutes which is helpful. The greeter did say a person would be right over but we had no idea on how long so went to look ourselves. My second visit to the store was to get a more basic fitness watch and the BB online chat helped me figure out which worked best for me and let me know the Bay Rd store had it in stock-it was also a good purchase. I was here a few days ago to get a new phone and in the mobile department the guy helping me was amazing. His name was Terry and he had amazing costumer service. There was a smudge on the phone screen protector and I wasn't worried about it but he got me a new screen protector one better than the factory one and really treated me with great customer service, he said for that kind of purchase he wasn't letting me leave with a smudge. This dude was apologizing about the wait because the computers were down and this guy took amazing care of me and my new purchase and it didn't even take that long. Always there to help me with kindness - even when you're super busy. Went to customer service to return an item and the girl was working 2 lines at once!! Even with her being so busy she kept conversation and smiles with everyone. Even though there was only one person at customer service she still did a great job. I know places are low on staff or coverage but she killed it. I also walked around the store to waste some time and even when workers walked by (obviously helping other people) they acknowledged me and made sure I didn't need help. Great job! read more

I asked the guy if they had something to convert these over. I get home only to find out that he sold me a flash drive. They don't answer the phone when you call. I let it ring for 20 minutes. I was in the Saginaw Michigan store on February 22nd where I purchased SKU 5428200, (VIZIO - 50" Class (49.5" Diag.) - LED - 2160p - with Chromecast Built-in - 4K Ultra HD Home Theater Display). Upon arriving home and opening the box I discovered the screen was cracked. It looked like a baseball had hit it. After boxing up the display and driving back to Best Buy I was told that was the last one of that display in store and another one would need to be ordered. I was given the order number and told the display would arrive by Wednesday the 28th. On Monday the 26th I tried to update the order online to fathers name to pick up the display since he works in Saginaw. I was not able to update the order online due to the website stating it was in process. I called the Saginaw store and was told I would need to be transferred to Customer Service. I was then transferred to a Geek Squad member who after I told them what was going on I was then transferred again to Customer Service. When I would be transferred to Customer Service the phone would ring and ring with no one picking up. I stayed on the line for 20 minutes without anyone picking up before I hung up and called again. This scenario repeated 2 more times before I gave up and called the 1-888 Best Buy number. I finally was speaking to someone in Customer Service and she couldn't pull up my order and had to put me on hold. Then a gentleman answered the line and asked me what I needed help with. I explained and he said he would need to transfer me. I was disconnected. After over an hour on the phone trying to get this sorted out on Monday night, I decided to give up and I would try again the next day. Today on my lunch break I called the 1-888 Best Buy number and spoke to a woman who said she could not help me because the order was incorrectly entered into the system and I would need to contact the store that I ordered the product with. So I contacted the store again and was transferred to the Geek Squad and then once again transferred to customer service where I listened to ringing for over 20 minutes with no one picking up. I hung up and called back and a gentleman answered the phone and I asked him for the direct number to customer service because when I get transferred I get no where. He told me there was no direct number and offered to look up my order. He looked it up and informed me that the product is not available and not being shipped to the store after all and that I would need to drive back to the store to cancel the order and get a refund on my Best Buy card. This is one of the worst customer service experiences I have ever encountered. From purchasing a product that was damaged, to being told the product would be available on Wednesday when there was no product available, to now having to drive back to the store to cancel the order and get a refund. Absolutely unbelievable. Best Buy has always been my go-to for electronics but after this experience, never again. read more

Terrible customer service. Any time I've wanted to make a purchase of an item you have to get out of a locked area I have to wait for help. There doesn't seem to be enough staff whenever I go which is probably why the customer service sucks most of the time. Update: I wound up cancelling the order referenced in my review after the store unilaterally cancelled the delivery, but told us all day it was still en route. When we tried to re-schedule the delivery I was told that they could help with that but didn't want to, and to try to do it through the 1-800 number instead. I was also advised that since the store had already received the commission for the order, they weren't that worried about it and I would 'get it when I get it.' I cancelled the order through the corporate customer relations complaint line, who hopefully look into how poorly this store is managed. read more

Best Buy has the full assortment of standard home electronics. If you're looking for Apple computers or Windows PCs they have a fair selection. Be sure to check out their sales is sometimes the best price is available only on promotion. During normal times of the year this store seems to operate very well. At Christmas time it can get very busy and waits at the register can be a bit longer. The sales staff seems very knowledgeable and able to help in their assigned areas. After visiting this store multiple times and giving it several chances, my wife and I are convinced that this Best Buy in Saginaw, MI, is an EXTREME MAJOR FAILURE. If I could rate it 0 stars or negative stars for the traumatizing moments it has caused me and my wife, I would do such. The attitude of the employees at Saginaw is extremely convoluted. The pattern we see is the same though, over and over. 1. If the customer brings up any issue, find any way to deny or reject it - it doesn't matter whether the customer is happy or not, 2. If the customer persists with problem, ask another employee who will support the original rejection, 3. Go into many "huddles" and keep finding problems so that the customer with the issue eventually leaves the store in extreme anger (the reason for this review :). Here is an example of what happened to us once out of many times we tried to do business with them.... As soon as I walked into the door, an elderly couple were sitting by the customer service area while 5 of them were joking around in the corner like a bunch of high school kids. Their case took way longer than ours and we were trying to trade in a laptop which was rejected with excuse upon excuse (i.e. they claimed dust, fingerprints, different windows system), even though we originally purchased it at this location. Plus they rejected the laptop for their current promotion, and said if we wanted to trade it in, we need to update the system back to the original OS and would wait while we did that. We asked for the CD and they would not even provide it to us. As we argued (without screaming nor threatening) the pretty boy "mobile manager" (mobile???) by the name of Jason CALLED SECURITY ON US who came over and was dumbfounded by the absence of a threat. All we kept saying was that we wanted them to do the trade, that fingerprints and dust is not damage, and somehow, that made him feel threatened or offended! I guess those young'uns get red easy :) The "general manager" came over as well and initially offered to do the trade, but she was later coerced into rejecting the laptop (which was in perfect condition for the 8 years we used it by the way). We were there for about 2 hours and had no results nor empathy from them at all. By the way they all kept laughing at my wife and me for no apparent reason, maybe because we're Asian and we felt extremely offended. I'm planning to make a call to corporate and the BBB about this.... We took a chance and drove to the Best Buy in Flint. We were glad we did. The Best Buy at Flint was a real store with employees who did their job. They took the laptop in for return immediately and gave us the promotion bonus as well within 10 minutes. Their hierarchy was way better as well - they said if we wanted to trade in a cell phone we would need to see the mobile manager in the MOBILE department. read more

Purchased a 40" Samsung TV from them with the understanding an insurance claim was going to be honored. Unfortunately it was not honored and Best Buy made a bad situation worse. I returned an unopened TV with a receipt and was told that it was 5 days past their return policy. No store credit or refund was granted. I will never shop Best Buy again!! read more

I got screwed by the Geek Squad at his store. I was given a gift card instead of a refund for less then acceptable service for $100.00 when I tried to use the card to purchase the second H.P. computer since they said that when Micro Soft stopped supporting windows XP They said that my 2006 multi media computer could not be upgraded to a newer version of window's which is now running on windows 7 without problem. I gave them my gift card to use and when it was swiped I was told that there was no $ on the card when I checked they told me that since I didn't use the card in the first year that the money was turned over to the state that I live in. And that I could claim the money through the state's web site. Which turned out to be a lie since the state had no information or record of any money in my name. TERRIBLE customer service. Shipped a Christmas present in the store packaging, ruining the a giant Christmas surprise. The item was left on my porch, shocking that it wasn't stolen. They sucked all the joy of the surprise out of the present, as it was discovered by my husband, the intended recipient. Tried to call their customer service. 40 min on hold later, finally was connected with someone (who spoke broken English.) The call center employee told me they were having issues with their phone and promised me a call back within 1 hour. It's been almost 24 hours, no call back. I posted on the fb page, no response. I tried the chat option on the website....it is automated, no real person, and every answer redirects to the call center phone number. We had an extra special reason to celebrate this year so I blew the budget and bought him something extra special, and I didn't even get to see his face. I will be returning the product. Amazon has the same item at the same price as your black Friday ad every day. Amazon ships everything in a box, not original packaging. At the end of the day, the surprise is ruined because of bad shipping policies, and no one at Best Buy can be reached. I'll never be a customer at Best Buy again. read more

I purchased a camera lens from the Saginaw, MI Best buy store. After trying this lens out I realized it was the wrong lens for what I had intended it for. Best buy Saginaw had the lense I would rather have and it cost 3 times as much as the one I purchased. I contacted the store to see if I could upgrade and pay the difference. A superviser came on the phone looked up my account and said I'm sorry sir but you are 10 days over the allowed time frame for returns. I explained I was out of town for the past week and a half and didn't get to try this lense but I would be happy to pay as much as 50% restocking fee and still buy the much more expensive lens in Saginaw if he would work with me. He said "I'm not doing that for you" is there any other questions you have for me? Well I didn't have any other questions and we ended our call. Still frustrated I went online with best buy and started a dialog with there online customer service. After explaining my situation they recommended that I pack up the lense and take it to the Saginaw store in person to ask a supervisor if they might work with me knowing I'm willing to pay the restocking fee. The worst they could say is no. So I did just that..and once in the store the supervisor that they connected me with was the same as my earlier phone conversation was with. He said the lense I purchased had been discountinued...which its not...he also said its against the law to charge a restocking fee...which its not...he also said if best buy online customer wants to return it then go thru them..... you can imagine I was frustrated in the experience to say the least. Since then I did purchase the much more expensive lens thru another company online along with 2 speedlights, diffusers and flash triggers...all together about another $2300 worth of equipment...and we just sold our house are purchasing stainless steel appliances for the new kitchen all of which we will be purchasing from another store..not best buy...all because of a superviser that stuck to his guns over a little purchase that I was willing to eat a 50% restocking fee for. The dollars and cents doesn't seam worth the outcome in this case...but power to the people.. we get to decide who gets our cash...! read more
