my sister and i walked into best buy sept. 5th 2025 in saugus ma. with $3,000. cash. it was the worst experience i ever had. i purchased in cash a phone and computer. i bought the phone from a women. there was not enough room on the counter to count the cash so i moved over to the right to count my cash. gave her $900.00. she placed the recepit in the bag. then walked over to the front to pay for the comp. again paying cash. went home i had to manually put my contacts into the new phone. four days later i rec'd a bill for the phone on my best buy account. i went back to the store. we spoke with alvin. the manager. he explained he would check the tape but, it would take some time. he also stated he would check the vault to see if there was a discrepency. there was no issue with the vault. i returned again due to viruses i picked up in the phone several times. i even went to the one in everett ma. for this. again, i returned to the saugus store spoke with the manager tony. he was so rude. telling me there is nothing on the tape i watched it. screaming at me she did not take your money. as he walked away, i said i will file a police report. he said do what you have to do, threw up his arms at me and walked away. i filed a report that day with saugus police. the officer went down the next day and said there was nothing on the tape. i would like to know why wern't my sister and i on the tape as we stepped up to purchase the phone. the tape only showed my back to the camera counting the cash. which was blocking the transaction. it also didn't show me moving to the right to count my cash. i went back again with my friend mark to return the phone. tony came out saying. you accused us of stealing, called the police. i was nervious. i asked tony for the sim card from the phone i was returning. he stated don't give me any problem or i will have you escorted out of here by the police. i was so upset at this point i couldn't remember my password. my friend helped me to put in a new password so we could return the phone. i do not understand what happened to the tape, it didn't show my sister with me. should have showed more than it did, and why isn't there a camera above the register. that girl took my $900.00. i am also going to notify the bbb. janet read more

I walked in to pick up an online order, a phone charger. I had my BestBuy credit card on me, however, I had left my ID at home. I had written down the confirmation # as well in case my phone died, which it did the second Tracy asked for the barcode for pickup. I explained to her I did not have my ID which she said she could not release the items. I asked "even with my credit card and confirmation code?" Which she interrupted and said "Like I said, I cannot release.." I told her I heard what she said. She then walked away to the next register to take the customer behind me. I asked if I could speak with a manager, to which she replied she was the manager. I then asked if she could cancel the order and refund it to my card "you can do it yourself online." I then asked for her name. I understand a store policy, saying no is one thing but the delivery of her response was extremely rude and unprofessional. How about "I'm really sorry, I wish I could but our store policy is strict. Without an ID I'm also not able to cancel the order." I don't know if she was even able to cancel it or just didn't want to. No customer service whatsoever, I won't be returning to BestBuy. The way you speak to customers matters, even if you can't fulfill their requests. read more

Called and was told that I could get my laptop keyboard fixed there but when I got there was told it would be about 3 weeks, had to be sent to another state and may cost up to $200 and may not be able to be fixed because key baords aren't really fixable anymore. Wish they had said that on the phone as that's why called first. The Lenovo laptop is only 2 years old. Never buying one of their products ever again. The Geek Squad person suggested that it would be better to just get a wireless extended key board which I did. It's really a pain to have to use the extended keyboard and laptop and carry but saved time, hundreds of dollars(maybe thousands if I had to buy a new laptop). Thanks for the suggestion. I needed my iPhone fixed and every Apple store was unavailable for at least a few days. Best Buy was recommended to help fix my phone and I booked an appointment for the next day (they were very busy). I got there 10 minutes early but was helped right away. I explained my problem and a young man said he would try his best to fix it. After 10-15 minutes he returned with my phone as good as new. Very helpful and very quick all for free! read more

My husband took out a credit card with them. They said the limit was 500 dollars so he bought a computer just under 500 and the employee actually picked that out for him. Well then they charged the annual fee causing the credit card to go over limit and reporting to my husbands credit score causing his credit score to go down by 131 points even though we just made a 100 payment towards it in less than a month! So the employee suckered him into using almost all the credit and then we get slapped with the annual causing us to go over and in return severely damaged his credit! Definitely don't get a credit card through them or if you do do not go by what the employee says because it will destroy your credit! read more

I returned an item and they gave me a store credit. I attempted to use the $150 credit and they told me that the card was invaild !!!!!! after 1 hour and calling the 800 number they still told that their was nothing that the assistant Mgr could do - we tried to read it on several registers and it still would read - finally the store manager tries and gave me a credit order( they didn't have it in stock) the item I wanted (after 75 minutes) There are so many other stores with bigger inventories, better prices and faster delivery including AMAZON.com , NEWEGG.com, Ebay.com ..... read more

My Mom purchased an IPad there as a gift to be shipped to me. The store employee failed to include my actual street name in the shipping address. ?! The IPad is never going to arrive. Best Buy will not let her cancel the order or fix the address. Neither the store manager nor the corporate office cares. My mother currently has a charge on her credit card for an IPAD that will never be delivered. We don't know what to do. Seriously don't buy anything from this place. Ever. read more

Went here in the hope that my phone just needed a battery and they could help me fix it. No luck. The woman who was a TL according to her name tag, didn't actually know what the problem was or how to help but did know it wasn't the battery (she was right - turns out it was a common boot loop issue so odd she didn't understand what it was). I felt like I was annoying her and keeping her from something more important. Very unfriendly and was rocking back and forth the entire time we interacted which I found kind of off putting. She also took the time to make fun of another customer with her associate after they left. Anyway, she was able to tell me about deals on phones. At least that was helpful. I ended up getting a new one and specifically asked about the SD card and she said it was included and all set. Lo and behold, a week later I went to a Verizon store and the slot was empty. Nice. Imagine if I didn't know to check and had thought things were backed up? She also didn't tell me anything useful about my account although I was eligible for all sorts of upgrades and perks and she failed to tell me about the activation fee, even saying it was included with the phone purchase. Never going there for phone help again, sheesh. read more

beware best buy customers,family & friends! yes! this really happened.... i purchased a $1500 tv set from bb saugus,ma. only to find out upon opening the factory sealed box the serial number on the tv inside the box was not the same as the serial number on on the box . i have been trying to resolve this since christmas 2019 with the help of the ma. atty general's office. today found out i have no recourse! bb does not stand behind their products and has horrible customer service! dont let this happen to you! please make sure to open your boxes before you leave the store to make sure what you have paid for is actually in the box! boycott best buy! beware best buy! read more

Hired The geek squad to take the old one down and put the new one up, they were supposed to send two guys only one came he said they were short-handed, so I had to help the guy that came do what I paid for, not a good deal, took a survey asked them to call me and they never did, next time I'll shop Amazon instead of the local. read more

If there was a negative number review I would chose it. Bought range there. First one Samsung defective gas filled my home and utility had to be called as well as people sick. Best Buy told me I had to deal with Samsung directly which is another story. Finally got credit from Samsung to purchase another range from Best Buy which I did different brand. Used their install services which they pitched to me which was mistake call your own plumber. No show on first appt. & 3 weeks after the 2nd one installed door falls off. Call store again and Chris put me on hold 2X permanently and then did not answer the phone when I called back. I always bought TVs, computers & other items there but now I will not again. I actually just bought a computer for the first time at Staples and it was a great experience. read more

We visited this Best Buy as we were at the Square One Mall last weekend. Within only a small sign and a hallway from the main mall and obscured by the parking garage, this place was easy to miss. This store is relatively small but it does have a decent selection of items such that we found what were were looking for at a good price. The checkout process went smoothly for us as a more experience person was doing training. Normally, it would have gone slower as we had various gifts cards to use. read more

I also noticed the manager walking around and taking to employees on how to treat customers something other Best buy stores should focus on. Best Buy has been an absolute nightmare to deal with. I truly cannot wait until they go bankrupt--I'll be there at the curb letting loose a bunch of balloons to celebrate their demise. They charged my credit card with an unauthorized charge, would only remove part of it because they prorated it, and are essentially trying to extort money from me by destroying my credit. I received no product for the charge, it was unauthorized, and I can't even close the account. They just keep billing me every month and adding fines even though the charge is being disputed. Terrible, terrible customer service. Awful people. Look at the negative reviews at trustpilot.com. Some attorney should file a class action suit against this company. They can just recruit clients from the trustpilot website. I'm in if anyone wants to take this on! AVOID BB at all costs!! And don't take out a BB credit card. You'll be defenseless when they start charging things to it. read more

Never will I shop online at Best Buy. I accidentally order two PS4 tapes that were the same. So I called to see if I could have one removed, well the guy on the phone said no problem. But for some reason I had to call back the next day. Well, I called back and the girl on the phone told me she would try later and she was going to email me. Letting me know it was done. Well I called today, now because it was my husband's debit card she needed to talk to him. Why didn't the first person tell me that in the first place. I was honestly surprised at how difficult my experience was with Best Buy's appliance department. I went in trying to buy new appliances for a brand new kitchen, and it seemed like nobody knew what they were talking about. There was a lot of "let me check with my manager" or "I'm not exactly sure at the moment" that initially put me off, but I stupidly put that aside and bought just a dishwasher to start. I was told it would be there by the weekend but it did not come. When I tried to call I was on with the automated phone service for a long time before I could actually speak to a human. Thankfully, I was eventually able to get my money back. I would not recommend coming here for appliances. read more

I purchased a new dishwasher ($800+) at this Best Buy located in the Square One Mall. I made it a point to give them my cellphone number because they said they would call the night before to give me the four hour window during which it would be delivered. Well, instead of calling my cell phone they sent a robo call to my home phone saying I had to call 1 888 best buy to confirm the time. I spent almost one hour on the phone, being routed to 4 different people, each putting me on hold saying they weren't the correct department and didn't know why I had received this call to confirm. Finally after almost an hour I reached someone who was able to confirm the 4 hour delivery window for the following morning. I will not be doing business again with Best Buy. This is a company that clearly doesn't care about its customers. read more
