Wanted to check out the laptops they had to offer and see if there was any good deals. Also wanted to check out the specs on them to see if they were capable of gaming. I also decided to browse a few other sections. I wanted to see what they had for Switch games, but they didn't have any. Not sure if they were swapping out games for the new console coming out, but there was no games to browse. I did a quick scan of the phone accessories and found nothing there either. This store has the worst customer service that I have ever experienced. Three different times my husband and I went to this store and couldn't get anyone to help us. Worst shopping experience EVER!! Needed a new ipad for my daughter, and I knew exactly what I wanted. Walked in and was told to wait (?). All I wanted to do was bring the ipad to the counter, pay for it, and leave. I guess that is not possible here. I waited patiently for over 20 minutes and then left. Went to Walmart up the street and got my Ipad paid for, and back into my car under 5 minutes. This BB location really needs to get their act together. This particular visit is well worth the five star rating. I had placed an order for curbside pickup. Upon arriving, all the numbered spaces were taken and there were a ton of cars lined up right outside the doors. I pulled into a parking spot and waited for someone to pull off. A few minutes later, someone pulled out of a curbside parking spot and I pulled in. I followed the directions online and expected I'd be waiting awhile since I had just pulled in and so many other people seemed to be waiting ahead of me. Not even five minutes later a young man came out in the pouring rain and delivered my items. He loaded them into my car and was off to help someone else. When I went in to tell them what happened I got attitude as if it's my problem. JT tried to keep things calm but beat but is ass. Get your stuff together. I needed to buy a TV so I went to Best Buy, just as I had done for years. I purchased a Samsung Crystal UHD TU7000 and was super excited. Then I realized that the TV had less HDMI ports than the one I had purchased 7 years ago. Upset about this, I called the store to speak to the manager Edmund, who had helped me with the purchase. I wanted to see if there were other comparable TVs with more ports. Did you know that you can't call best buy and speak with ANYONE there? It auto forwards you to their customer service! Each time they were "not available" in my area or to order and you could not put them in a cart or back order them. Once they were available, guess what? No longer on sale and substantially more. Paul and his associates of the Geek Squad at the arena hub plaza in Wilkes-Barre fixed my cell phone which works better than ever and my computer which was hit by a malware. Paul was great to deal with regarding personality and most of all computer/phone knowledge, My laptop works like new and I became a member of the Geek Service for the year. Previously, I dropped the service a few years ago, cause the service wasn't doing it for me. I want to give five stars to the associate that Assisted me in upgrading my galaxy s8 to an iPhone XR. I unfortunately forget her name, but she had purple eyeshadow and has at least one cat. She rocked! Very efficient, professional, courteous, and friendly. However, later on my girlfriend and I had to ask three separate individuals to assist us in the camera section, a 15-20 minute process. Eventually the 3rd associate... or perhaps manager... named Mike with tattoos personally came over to help us, apologizing for the delay. He was also great! When you walk in the first set of sliding doors, there's a bunch of bins to recycle cell phones, chargers, ink cartridges, etc. Nothing that indicated they recycle printers. I went up to the help desk to ask and got a yes! Woohoo! Online, they indicate they charge $10 to recycle printers. They don't actually. This just made my rating of Best Buy increase :) read more

The Local Best Buy store in Wilkes-Barre should change its name to Worse Buy. After 2 All-In-One PC and an Amazon Fire HD 8 tablet that just died in less then a week. Last 3 products from the store either had to be repaired by Dell or returned for credit. Even their own salespeople had said the products were junk after I returned the first pc after 1 day(never booted up). 2nd PC had to repaired by Dell at their factory( replace hard drive and OS). I have been there twice and both times have been A-Ok with me. The first time I needed a new Wii game for my kids and since I know nothing about what is good the sales girl helped me out and let me tell you, the kids LOVED it. This Best Buy has disappointed us for the final time. NEVER AGAIN. Their website would not allow to buy a laptop online (even though we choose the 'Proceed as a guest' option - it forced us to try to sign in to a Best Buy account), and after multiple requests to change our password with no resulting e-mail to allow us to do this (and with a message stating that we could not proceed with our purchase w/o signing in), we gave up and drove to the Wilkes-Barre Best Buy the next morning. Of course, we found out that the sale ended the night before. Feeling sure that they would honor the sale price for this laptop since the website would not allow us to order it the night before, we asked and manager "Georgina" stated emphatically that they would not. She didn't care a bit that their site was the cause of this issue. There was no talk of "Let's see what we can do" whatsoever or any attempt to placate dissatisfied customers on her part at all. On our way out the 'greeter/bag checker' near the door overhead our conversation about it and asked us what happened (like he could make a difference). Like two idiots, we explained what happened, and he instantly got defensive and started yelling, "Have a nice day" at the top of his lungs over and over so we'd leave. The customer service aspect of Best Buy is almost nonexistent. They just don't care. STAY AWAY FROM BEST BUY - PARTICULARLY THE WILKES-BARRE STORE. Unless you like overpaying for electronics, being treated like lepers by staff and management alike, and being screamed at by the bag checker guy at the exit. Have a nice day, Best Buy. read more
