I took my boots there in 2019 and they took 3 months to fix it. Then I took my favorite pair of shoes (white with a black top) and the shop COMPLETELY DISAPPEARED WITH IT. Worst Care! I brought a pair of worn white converse sneakers in. I paid $25 to have them shampooed. (This is something I could have done at home)He told me they would be ready 4 days later. Pick up Attempt 1.) Returned 4 days later, my shoes were wet and the shoe laces had been thrown away. I asked him to put the laces back on and he told me he would have it done the following day. Pick up Attempt 2.) Returned the next day. My shoes still have no shoe laces and they have dried YELLOW! (Not white) He informed me that he threw my original shoe laces away but would lace up a new pair for me. Pick up Attempt 3.) I Returned 3 days later. He gave me my shoes without laces AGAIN! He then attempted to give me the wrong color & length of shoe laces. He said he would special order me the correct color and length of shoe laces since mine were thrown in the trash. Pick up Attempt 4.) I Returned 5 days later, he said it would take 4 days for the shoe lace order to come in. HE FORGOT TO PLACE THE ORDER. Pick up Attempt 5.) I Returned 5 days later, HE FORGOT TO PLACE THE ORDER AGAIN. After raising my first complaint to him, he declined to give me a refund but offered me two complimentary repairs. Pick up Attempt 6.) I called ahead of time. He informed me that the order came in and they were the wrong color. I told him I would be in, in 15 minutes and I would like s full refund. He agreed. When I arrived. He showed me the shoes, the laces he ordered were the wrong color and didn't even fit the shoe. He handed me $15 and removed the laces from the shoe. I asked him why he took the laces off and why am I only getting a portion of my money back? He felt that this was fair. To add insult to injury, he even asked me to give him back the two complimentary repairs coupon he gave me on my last visit. Don't worry buddy, I wasn't gonna come back here anyways lol! I finally screamed at him saying "I brought you shoes with shoe laces, shouldn't I be leaving with shoes with shoe laces?!" He was stunned that I wanted a full refund of $25 and.. oh my god...shoe laces! This is the most infuriating customer service experience of my life! Take your shoes elsewhere. They did a half-ass job, the owner is a jerk, and I understand why there were no customers in there to begin with. My ordered wasn't forgotten because he was busy, he was just lazy. read more

This is got to be the worst shoe repair ever. I've been to this guy several times and I'm always disappointed. Never again will I give him my business and you should not as well. He's never here when he clearly has open signs. He doesn't answer his phone and he also doesn't have his message machine set up so you can leave a message. He's way overpriced. I first stopped by the store to see if he could replace a zipper in a leather jacket with a Heavy duty white plastic zipper. I told him that this was the second metal zipper that has failed in a few years. He said no problem. I told him if he can't do it no problem. I told how I got ripped of the first time and he said don't worry. Drop off: I told the owner what I wanted, a white plastic zipper. He said no problem and charged me $48.00 up front (this should have been my first clue that this was not going to go right) and said come back in a week. Pick 1st try: I come in and he's got a METAL ZIPPER on it, ( I thought I was going to lose it right there) I looked at him and this is not what I asked for and it's not what I wanted. The owner says "I can't find a white plastic zipper all I can find is black" feeling frustrated I tell him fine do a black one , just don't put a metal one in. Pick up 2nd try : I come back a week later with great anticipation and low and behold he's got a ultra light weight plastic zipper that is completely inadequate for a leather jacket, he tries telling me it will work fine I guarantee it, I put it on zip it up in front of him and bzzzzzt it pops apart, I tell him again plastic "heavy duty plastic zipper" he says ok, tells me he can't find them anywhere. I go home spend 5min on the internet and look for heavy duty plastic zippers and "Anna's" across town has them. So stop by there on the way home from work and pick two up. I go by the shop to give them to him and he says that they aren't good enough and to take them back and that his wife is going to Los Angeles that weekend and shell get one there. I tell him that he can find them all day long on the internet in every color there is. Pick up 3rd try: Another week goes by I go and pick it up and there's a metal zipper in my jacket I ask what's going on he hands it to me and says its all he can get but guarantees it, I tell him IT'S NOT WHAT I ASKED FOR, ITS NOT WHAT I PAID FOR, and you've lied to me from the get go, how can I believe you'll stand behind it and it looks like crap, two color threads were used. He looks at and says its all he can do and motions for me to leave with his hand as he walks to the back of his shop. After further inspection he placed a 20" metal zipper in place of a 18", used 2 color threads, over all craftsmanship looks like crap. read more

I called around to some other Shoe Repair Shops who wanted RIDICULOUSLY HIGH prices just for replacing my tiny plastic heel plates on a few pairs of loafers. I would donate or even through my shoes in the trash before paying such outrageous and insultingly high prices! Do I look stupid???!!! I felt that the store owner, Victor, gave me a fair price. I needed backpack strap to be fixed. I was a bit worried because previously I was ripped off at another business some months prior (La Plaza shoe repair in Palm Springs). But I was pleasantly surprised to find that Best Care repair to be extremely professional and the cost of repair extremely reasonable! Quality of work is First Class. I should have checked Yelp before I took my shoes to this business. My experience is similar to the other negative reviews. I bring in a pair of Cole-Hahn loafers to have the combo leather/rubber heels replaced. The guy says the sole on one of the shoes needs repair as well. The soles are leather. I say OK. he says $55 paid now. Why didn't I walk out. Wish I had. I pay the money. Get a receipt with a Saturday pick up. I go. Shoes not ready (like other reviews). I go today and he brings out the shoes with rubber soles and heels. I say "that's not what was on the shoes before." He says it is right on the receipt "pro heels and soles". pro apparently means protective which means rubber. What a ripoff! What horrible customer service! What shoddy and shady business practices. Terrible service and unreliable. Gave me three different dates for when something would be completed and missed all three dates. They said they would call with updates and never did. I had to go to the shop each time to determine status. His response was that he was busy and forgot the job. This was the comment given all three times.
