While I cannot rate the service of repair, I can say I have come in here twice and received excellent customer service. The first time I needed a leather rope to cinch a bucket bag closed. The owner told me that my bag wasn't real leather. Which shocked me, but I trust him. And I appreciated the honesty. Still love the bag. But glad to know it's not made of leather. The second time I came in l had shoes that didn't feel like the soft genuine leather they claimed to be. So since l actually had to review these shoes, l knew exactly who would know best! He said they were definitely genuine and that they were pig skin. Hence why they were rougher. I had no idea that was even a thing. I appreciate his honesty and frankness. I will always highly recommend this shop and l know the owner said about a year ago he was looking to retire. I hope (selfishly) that he never does. But if he finds himself a replacement, l truly hope the next cobbler is just as good. I highly recommend this cobbler for honesty and expertise. read more

This repair shop is only 15 minutes from my home so it's very convenient. I dropped off my beloved & well worn Coach ballet shoes. The sole on the left shoe came off completely. I brought it in and the gentleman I believe to be the proprietor took them in and advised I have both soles redone. I agreed. He gave me a ticket to turn in when the shoes were ready. It didn't take but a few days and they were available for pick up. The soles were nicely repaired and I believe I have a lot more miles left on them. The price of the repair was well worth it and gave new life to this favorite pair of mine. The gentleman was very cordial and welcoming. I came in for a couple years and had no problems. I have taken a pair of tall horse boots in and he said 3 weeks to change the zippers on both of them. Originally I was quoted $180 for 2 long zippers which I thought it had gone up quite a lot over the previous years of getting them done. I called a month later no answer. Then I went it after 5 weeks and they were sitting in the same condition I left them. After I asked when they could be done as I needed them the owner said I was being under charged and they were $300 to replace. I won't ever go back after 5 weeks of my boots sitting there and then to be told it was $300! read more

I asked for a right foot sandal to be repaired. It finally was after a second attempt. He was not supposed to do anything to the left sandal. I let him keep the left to use it as a guide. He changed the left and then it did not fit. I had to go back a third time and ask for it to be made to fit. After he yelled at me, he told me to just buy another pair. What kind of service is that? He became out of control, yelling, waving his hands around. He actually raised his hands to me, threw my sandal out the door, said he was calling police. His son was there as well and they were both yelling at me, too close in my personal space, in hostile and threatening postures. Complete nut cases. Shouldn't be working with the public. I left out of fear. Dangerous angry men. Don't go near them. I then went to the shoe repair on Jefferson. A very nice lady was happy to help me. I told her what happened on Temecula Pkwy. I wish I'd taken a picture of these shoes before I took them in. They were covered with dirt, paint, concrete from a construction site. I wasn't sure if they could be salvaged. If I could give 10 stars to The Shoe Repair Shop I would!! If you need shoes or a purse repaired you must go to The Shoe Repair Shop in Temecula! I took in 2 purses for repair. One of the purses needed the clasp replaced. I recently move here. I took that purse to every shoe repair business in south Orange County and no one even cared to fix it. They told be to call the makers of the purse and that was it. My purse has a new clasp and is in perfect shape. They even told me exactly how to clean the leather using a little dish soap on a soft cloth and then rubbing on a some shoe leather cream. The second purse need stitching and it is like new. I can not tell that it was stitched. I cannot say enough about this business. Everyone goes out of their way to be helpful. They are very friendly and a joy to work with. read more

It is a rare trade these days and The Shoe Repair Shop does it extremely well. I have a hand-made leather attaché case I got in the early 90's. Very rugged and well used, but the shoulder strap came tore where it connects to the bag. I took it in and very quickly got a break down of what would be needed to fix it properly. I was told to return next week. I returned in a week and a half to find the bag fixed and ready. Can't even tell it was ever taken apart and repaired! I had two 7 year old boots that were in desperate need of care if i was ever going to wear them in public again. Brought my first pair in woverine kilometer boots (discontinued). I wanted to convert them to wedge soles and see if they could do something about the gashes in the toe. I chose white soles with black midsoles. I was not expecting how good they would turn out (red background). I was wearing my old iron rangers when i picked up the wolverines. These had even worse gashes in the toe cap. Soon as i saw the wolverines i took off the iron rangers and wore the wolverines out, leaving the iron rangers to get the same treatment, just with white midsole this time (blue background). Could not be happier! The gentlemen that work there are top notch. Their customer service and communication is outstanding. They have earned a loyal customer.
