I love this place! The people here are so kind and friendly and welcoming! This is my fourth…read moreexperience coming here for therapy. I just had a reverse shoulder replacement. One of the greatest things that I like about this business is they don't just have you do exercises and then say goodbye. They will do massage and then they ice your injury for you. It's a total package! I came here after my knee replacement surgery also. I highly recommend them!

The three techs there at the time were really cool folks and worked their magic getting me back up and running. I thought I'd check them out today about getting some more flexability, etc in my old body...It did not go well. They ask me intially and today do I have insurance and I said I would just rather pay cash. So on their forms they wrote no insurance. I,looking over the forms, wrote in I do have insurance I just prefer to pay cash. Sometimes insurance is just not worth piddling with. When I get to the front counter with their forms, they saw my corrections and asked 'you do have insurance?' I'm say yes I do have insurance I just prefer to pay cash for this. Then she starts with 'well if you have insurance we can't give you the pay cash rate which is $80 per session. We'd have to charge you a lot more like $300 a session.' Of course I asked why? She just said I wanna pay cash and I have insurance they have to charge me more. That makes no sense. So I said 'I lie to you and tell you I have no insurance it's $80 but since I corrected your form and told you the truth that I do have insurance, I just prefer to pay cash, now you're saying it's not $80 it'll be $300+? Make that make sense. I look at her and I say so if I lie to you it'll be $80? She says well now she knows I have insurance so it's be the $300+ if I still want to pay cash. By now I'm tweakin'. I never said I don't have insurance. I simply said I'll pay cash the entire time from the initial conversation forward. But since I was honest and corrected their form to say I do have insurance but I still prefer to pay cash, now they're saying it's $300 a visit or use my insurance. I ask why and she shrugged the ole 'I dunno'. I stood there perplexed trying to figure out are they trying to scam me or scam the insurance? If $80 bucks is ok as a cash payment, it should be ok for everyone. I told her to shred my forms and walked out. If you have a policy and can't explain it to the consumer, that's a bullshit policy.

My mom was admitted here without my knowledge, by Banner Desert Medical (she broke her femur and had surgery) She gets here around 6 pm on Christmas Eve. Receptionist was not friendly first of all and yeah, definitely felt like a post acute facility. They did bring her a dinner tray that night so that was good. (Food is bland but I see why it is which is fine. It wasn't bad honestly) Her Care: Not too good , especially because she has dementia/Alzheimers. This is not the place for ppl with dementia. They didn't seem to understand that she is non verbal and cannot express her concerns , so that was a huge problem. We visited all the time and I stayed until at least 2 am daily because they didn't do much for her as far as helping her with physical therapy or anything for that matter. My daughter also noticed the extension cord that was secured to the wall, to connect the tv , had two live prongs barely sticking out from one of the sockets. If someone would have touched both of those at the same time , they would have been electrocuted. Not okay. Long story short, I pulled her out of there like five days later because I just couldn't keep her there any longer. She was getting delirious and it didn't phase this place. Couldn't even talk to an actual doctor either. Even the one nurse said she had never seen the doctor herself. That afternoon when I told them I was removing her , my mom's roommates family pulled their loved one out of there too. She said they were no good. And she was right , they weren't any good, at least from my experience. And definitely not for someone with dementia/Alzheimers. I hope this helps someone and if they do have to stay here , always visit everyday to make sure they are being taken care of. =^^=

Her reputable back surgeon took the stitches out after two weeks and exclaimed that the patient had not been out of bed for at least 10 days! You call that rehab? I visited the patient daily and on one Sunday I went for a visit. The only people I noticed in the rather large establishment were visitors--no staff in sight. I walked in her room and found her totally naked--no nightgown or sheets she could have tossed on the floor--totally naked. So I find an immobile, naked woman lying in bed with only visitors roaming the floor. Each room had it's own A/C unit and hers was turned off--not up, off. Now this is August in Phoenix so you knew her room was horribly hot. I can go on but if you really care for your Loved one avoid this place like the plague.
