I have had pain since I was 7 years old. I started having daily migraines and had to be homeschooled. I had to stop playing baseball and other activities. I tried countless medications that never worked for longer than a couple of months. I just had to deal with the pain until I was 20 and had a neurostimulator placed inside my body and I finally had relief from my migraines. Then a couple months later I grew a little taller and the leads in my neck snapped and the neurosurgeon had to replace the leads. That eventually led to me getting a very bad infection and the neurostimulator had to be removed. After several more months of pain, I eventually found a monthly medication that has been helpful for my migraines. Shortly after the surgery to remove the neurostimulator, I started getting shoulder pain. This led me on a long journey seeing numerous doctors to try and find out what was causing my shoulder pain. I had MRIs, nerve testing, epidural and cortisone injections and physical therapy but nothing ever took the pain away. The neurosurgeon I was seeing said getting my neck fused would eliminate the shoulder pain. I also had some disc issues in my neck so he felt this could fix both issues. So I ended up getting my neck fused and of course just like everything else it didn't work. At that point I was at a loss and was just sick of going to appointments just for them to tellme they didn't know what else they could do for me. So for a year I self medicated with medical marijuana to at least get some relief and to help me get through each day. I knew it wasn't gonna fix the problem but I was at a loss as to where to go.
We started searching online looking for things to help with nerve pain. We saw Information on Scrambler Therapy. We contacted Dr. Wade and talked about my life of chronic pain. He felt I could probably benefit from scrambler therapy. So I went in for a trial appointment to see if it would help get rid of my pain. I was at an 8-9 pain scale level and my biggest threats that made my shoulder most painful were walking, showering and sitting for too long . These activities would make my pain flare up significantly and I would have to take medical marijuana to help with the pain. My experience with the trial went very well. Dr. Wade had a very good bedside manner and explained things very well. He seemed very concerned about my pain and didn't pressure me to do anything. He asked me lots of questions and had me take a test to see the best way to help me with my pain. I ended up resonating with the rezzimax, sensate and breathing techniques. Dr Wade started with the rezzimax and it took my pain down from a 9 to a 3 which seemed almost too good to be true. Then he performed the scrambler therapy which got me down to a 1-2 pain scale which he was pleased with so he thought I would be a good candidate for the scrambler therapy treatments. We agreed to have ten treatments. So we continued the next week with Monday through Friday treatments. My pain levels coming into my appointments were at an average of 3-4 for the first week and after the treatments it got down to an average of 0-2. What I noticed most during that first week was my pain level throughout the day would stay at an average of 2-4 and my biggest threats made it slightly worse but it would go backdown to a 2-4 pain level within 15-30 minutes. Then on the weekend was my biggest test going to a football game that included walking a lot and climbing a lot of stairs and then sitting in an uncomfortable chair for several hours. In the past going to the game would cause my pain level to go up to a 9 and I wouldn't be able to do anything for days afterwards due to the severe pain. But this time I went into the game at a 1-2 and after the game I was at a 2-3. The next morning it went back down to a 1-2 which is still crazy to think about now. I was also able to stop taking medical marijuana midweek cause I no longer needed it for the severe pain. The second week I got even better. I was at an average of 1-2 at the start of the appointment and when I left I was at a 0. Showering used to be really bad for me making me have to go used my medical marijuana immediately afterward but now it would only make my pain level go up to a 3 and it would come back down to a 1 within 15-20 minutes. Throughout the second week my average was a 1-2 level of pain. After the scrambler therapy my pain went down to a zero every day. One of the best things to happen was I could finally go to my nieces and nephews football games. I have not been able to go to for years. To be able to go to their games with no pain during the game and no pain afterwards was such a great feeling. I have been dealing with chronic pain for so long and having to miss out on countless events . I would recommend scrambler therapy to anybody who has been dealing with chronic pain like I have for so many years. This therapy has been absolutely life changing for me. read more
