"On Tuesday August 16th, 2022, I went to the location at 69 East St Plainville, CT 06062. I brought my leather jacket to have a zipper fixed. I was told it would be slightly over $100 due to whole zipper itself having to be replaced. If it was just fixing the "pull head" itself, then it would only have been $30ish (I don't recall the exact amounts). So, I went a couple blocks away to Sherwood Cleaners at 144 New Britain Ave, and the gentleman fixed my zipper in less than 5 minutes, at no charge at all. NO. CHARGE. AT. ALL. I went back to Best Cleaners and informed the staff member of this. She apologized and said that she doesn't set the prices. Keep in mind, that said employee was nice and pleasant. And I did see her look up the prices on a chart taped onto the front desk. But surely something is awfully wrong to be charging over a hundred dollars, or even the thirty dollars for a broken zipper. read more

I really can't give them even one star. The girl Genesis doesn't like gay people she talks about her hatred for anyone that is different and not a Christian she tried to give two girls a bible and told them they were going to hell so any company that hires people like her I will not do business with and no I'm not gay but I don't think a business that allows people like her isn't a smart business move and be careful because if they don't like you they will up-charge you. And guess what they don't really clean your clothes. They lose your clothes and then say you never brought your clothes to them when it's clearly on the ticket. The girls there especially Sabrina and Genesis are very lazy and they are Con artist. I give this business an F- oh and the reviews that are good they make their employees but the reviews on so it looks good for them. They are extremely expensive and definitely not worth the money I know one lady that went there to have s zipper fixed and they wanted to charge her $100.00 but when the lady went to another cleaners they actually did it for free and it took the seamstress less than 10 minutes to fix it. Do not trust them and they are closing because they actually don't want to clean your clothes so they will be outsourcing your clothes. Do yourself a favor go somewhere else. read more

After years of going to this Best Cleaners, I had noticed a downturn in the quality of their product. My shirts were often returned without stains removed (I ended up scrubbing them clean at home), the shirts were often over starched, and even buttons were sometimes missing. My latest visit will be my last, however. I had a few suits and a bunch of shirts laundered/dry cleaned. Not only were their the customary spots not cleaned (I swear I'm not THAT messy) but the shirts were way over starched AND some had shrunk! How do you shrink dress shirts and stay open!?! There are a few other cleaners in town. Hopefully they'll do a better job. read more

We have been using this location for our dry cleaning for several years now. Several things we like: 1) Green cleaning- we try to stay away from known carcinogens 2) Quick service 3) Staff is always friendly and efficient 4) Had a skirt altered and the seamstress did a nice job 5) Lots of coupons and deals that we use all the time! read more

So lets start with the fact that I've been coming here for years...... well that ended abruptly this weekend. I dropped off 4 pairs of pants on Friday night after work, i walked to my truck to look at my receipt which stated 3 pieces... which is weird as I literally just handed them 4 pieces. So I walked back in; I told the kid, he fixed the receipt and I went on my way. I then received a phone call stating that the did not receive 4 pairs of pants but they only had 3.... imagine my shock as I know how to count to 4. So at this point I'm livid cause I'm now thinking maybe I didn't give them 4 pairs, so I then rush through my Grocery shopping to get home to see that in fact I did not leave another pair at home. So I called back and asked for the manager, of which I asked the manager to pull the cameras as now I want to know what happened to my pants. She said ok and that she would call me the next day.... well... let me tell you at no point did any of that happen. She not only didn't pull the video but she didn't call me either until I went down there and demanded action. She then proceeded to tell me that she still planned on pulling the video, then asked me what brand. I told her she came out with pants that were no way in shape or form gray or my pants. She then said that she would have to wait for a break to call her manager. I asked if this was normal as that seemed weird considering this wasn't a personal call. She said her manager "she was on call"... which still made no sense. Two known facts; one her boss is a guy, and I'm still not sure why she hasn't pulled the video or called me as previously stated. Of which now she states her manager has to do it, then I called her out on her lies and she says states she can pull the video but has to call her manager. Now mind you she had the two hours before closing on Friday night to apprise her "boss" of this situation and all day Saturday until I rolled in at 3pm. I advised her that this was not making me feel very valued as a customer and that this did not at any point seem like a priority to her. She did not argue this point, there was zero apologies, so as I left with out the remaining 3 pairs of my pants as they would be ready until 4pm. I advised I would be back at 4 for them, I no sooner left and got 5 minutes away, then I got a phone call advising that this was best cleaners and that my pants were not only ready but that she found the 4th pair of pants and "didn't see what the big deal was" at this point I'm beyond pissed of and said I wouldn't be turning around and that I would be back at 4pm. Which at this point I thought better if it to realize I better go get them before they are al lost or damaged. So I went back to not only a pissy attitude "assistant manager" but to her shit talking about me to a fellow employee. She had the audacity to charge me over 40 dollars and my pants not only didn't smell clean they were still wrinkly!!!! so clearly at the end of the day I got to pay 40 dollars to lose my mind and be treated like a jerk! No Thanks; don't come here, I sure as hell won't ever again. I'd give negative stars had that been an option. read more

I did not realize how much I was spending on dry cleaning at another establishment until I switched to Best Cleaners. They have lots of coupons and are fast, friendly and efficient. I have never had any clothing damaged here. Having recently read a couple of studies on the levels of carcinogens we are exposed to through dry cleaning, I appreciate that they use green cleaning techniques. I have used a few locations but this one is where I get the bulk of my dry cleaning done. I have also had tailoring and alterations done here and have been very happy with the workmanship. I plan on trying the delivery service in the future. read more

I've visited before but this time I need more detailed service and Donna was training a new employee only she didn't seemed to pleased and was giving both myself and her co worker a nasty attitude as if doing her job was a huge bother and she wasn't interested I only come to this location even though I live in plainville because the reviews say much better service but Donnas behavior and attitude today has left a bad taste in my mouth ! read more

I brought 2 suits and 3 shirts to get dry cleaned to find makeup still on my shirts. I learned that they don't dry clean shirts unless specifically asked and they charge $9/shirt (most dry cleaners charge $3.50/shirt MAX!) What they actually do is "launder and press shirts" for $3.50/each which is what anyone can do at home or a laundry mat for $2/load. Those prices are outrageous and and this was all very frustrating to learn after the fact. I could've went to any of the million other dry cleaners and have been charged $2.50-$3 for a DRY CLEANED shirt. I am putting 2 stars instead of one because the young lady working offered to dry clean one of my shirts at no additional charge. read more

I needed my silk curtains dry cleaned, this happened to be the only dry cleaning place I knew about in the area. I dropped of 4 panels with no pleats the girl behind the counter said they charged by the pleat and proceeded to pleat them with her fingers. I was totally fine with that. Ended up costing $15 a panel. She told me to come back the following week to pick them up. When I picked them up of course they were on a hangar wrapped in plastic, so I didn't open and inspect them. I have never had a problem before with any other dry cleaner. They are seasonal curtains I hang them in the winter because they have a thick lining & are better for drafts. When I went to hang them up two weeks later they had stains all over them it looked like wet spots. So basically I paid $60 for them to ruin my curtains. I would have gone back & complained but it had been 2 weeks since I picked them up. I will never go here again and definitely would not recommend this place to anyone. I kills me to even give one star but I have to so I can post this!!! read more

I recently had a negative experience with this dry cleaners. They were advertising that they clean Ugg boots, so I brought my 1 year old tan Ugg boots in. My boots were in like-new condition, I just figured they could be cleaned up a bit and look even better. What I got back, after almost 3 weeks, mind you, was stiff like cardboard, the color was all messed up (very dark spots, almost black) and was so shrunken it didn't even fit on my foot as it did previously. I was so upset I asked for a reimbursement or replacement fee. I got the run around for about 2 weeks. They insisted they try and re-clean them, I agreed and still got back a product that looked way worse than when I dropped it off originally! After speaking to different people there, they gave me back the $43 cleaning fee, but nothing towards replacing my boots! As far as I'm concerned, the boots are wrecked and won't be worn. So now I'm out of $195 Ugg boots and have to purchase a new pair and I learned my lesson the hard way, don't bring something that valuable to a cleaner without seeing their work first! I'm sure they are fine with other products, but they should not advertise cleaning Uggs if this is the outcome! I will say everyone I dealt with there, staff and managers were very nice and tried to be helpful. Just a bad outcome. They should not be in the business of cleaning Ugg boots! read more
