My boyfriend and I came here for a couples massage for our anniversary. 60 min massage for $140. It was his first time ever having a professional massage, and I hadn't had one in 5 years or better. Rodney massaged my boyfriend and Stefanie massaged me. We both thought they were very professional and therapeutic. We left feeling relaxed and overall great! In the beginning Stefanie wasn't using as much pressure as I liked but as she went along I think she could tell she OK to do so, even though there was no talking other than basic instruction. She used essential oils when working on my neck (she asked my permission first) and I loved it! I would like to go back and receive a massage from Rodney as I have read so many great reviews about him specifically. Stefanie did work on and work out some problem areas I mentioned before our session; as did Rodney to my boyfriend. The time flew by, an hour was done before we knew it but the quality didn't lack nonetheless. I would definitely recommend booking a massage with either of them. I am going to look into other types of massages they offer and book again soon. I love that you are able to view all their prices and book online. Rodney is awesome, I've visited him off and on for years. I'm a massage therapist and own a large spa, when my employees are too booked for me to visit one of them or I need to escape my own business to truly relax and not think about work, Rodney's my therapist. If I want to zone out and not "talk shop" he lets me rest quietly while he gives me a great massage focusing on exactly what I've asked for. He is friendly and fun too if I'm in a chatty mood. His new space is absolutely beautiful with a relaxation area and calm beachy theme including some really cool fish tanks. Rodney at Best Escape is a win all around. The online booking is very easy and prompt, and he also uses Square to do the card transactions once the massage is done, which easily allows you to add a tip with a single click as well. The space is very nice - small, simple, and very conducive to relaxation. The massage room has quieting beachy theme and a lovely fish tank. The bed is very comfortable - I always take note of the head rest, as his is very soft/comfortable and the space is wide enough for your face to rest nicely without feeling smushed. As for Rodney himself - I have never had anyone who has been able to work out knots like he has. I always book the deep tissue massage, since I am a very active person and that's simply my preference anyway, and he really works out the kinks - even ones I didn't know were there! Very kind and professional all around. I also appreciate that he keeps his rates at a very reasonable cost - with his technique and business style, he's worth more in my opinion! read more
