Visited the Waukee location this time. I booked with Summer again but arrived too early so I thought to check in and see if she was open. She wasn't but I was told I could go early with Jennifer and so glad I did. She is just as great as Summer was last time, maybe better. The room was comfortably warm, dimly lit and nice music level. I asked Jennifer if she massaged as hard as Summer for the deep tissue and she seemed reluctant but she was so strong and a real trooper. She hit all of my sore spots that caused me to come in with precision. I think I fell asleep three times. The stretching at the end got my back popped a few times and my neck once though that was not on purpose. I am glad to have tried Jennifer and am looking forward to trying a different one next time. So, as of now, Jennifer and Summer are excellent choices to book for deep tissue. read more

I had Jenny T and it might've been one of the worst massages I've ever had. I had told her that I was having some sciatic nerve pain so I wanted to focus on my lower back and right side. she not only didn't do that but she made the pain somehow worse. she also did the whole massage over a sheet and didn't touch me. 0/10. then she got mad when my tip wasn't very large. I've had good experiences here before but I will be much pickier about who I choose going forward. read more

I came in with a terrible lower back pain and michael found the spots instantly and knew what was wrong. He explained what could be causing it and immediately went straight to work. Ana gave me one of the best massages I have ever had. I opted for the 90-minute deep tissue massage, and I am so glad I did. An hour of this would not have been enough. This place is located in an office building with several other businesses, and I was immediately hit with the smell of someone's lunch, which I didn't love--but that isn't their fault so I'm not going to dock them for that. The decor of the place leaves something to be desired, but I didn't care about it at all after Ana got to working on my back. I had large knots in both of my shoulder blades, and a pinched nerve in my neck that she was able to completely work out. Really easy booking process online and the massage was great! Every month I get a massage and this reminds me I missed last month! I'm due! Summer's Massage was a great experience. The setting is a nice office type building, you wouldn't think there was a massage Therapy room, but there is and it was very well maintained and comfy! I was greeted and shown to the room. Relaxing music played it was very cosy! After some paperwork we talked about my trouble spots that I wanted work on and Summer assured she would give some extra attention to those areas! She did a great job, Great pressure but not to much where I was screaming bloody murder! Multiple times she made sure the pressure was to my liking! She was very nice and told me to drink lots of water post massage! This was a very tranquil experience and more affordable than some spots in town! I will be back for sure! read more

I booked a 60 min massage with essential oils. (Essential oils are an up charge) Upon walking into the office, there was no clear direction for a check-in person but a crowd of employees gathered down the hall. The office smelled like fried food. The male in charge asked me if I booked essential oil massage and I replied, "yes" He then asked me what type of oil I would like. I asked him what the options were and he said, "not many- maybe lavender?" So I responded, "okay, lavender is fine". (Why offer essential oils if you don't know what you have to offer or don't have more than one scent? Extra charges were not warranted) I was escorted to a room with no instructions. The room smelled like food, and there was no music playing. When the therapist came into the room, she was chewing her gum very loudly. She did not turn music on until later in the session, and then continued to use her phone during the massage. I would feel her rest, her phone on my leg and use one hand to massage repetitively in one area while she used her other hand with her phone. During the entire massage she was smacking her gum very loudly. The face pillow had a metal bar exposed which was very uncomfortable for my face. She left the room during the massage for several minutes. When she finished, she asked me if I felt better and then walked out. She did not tell me the massage was complete or mention any check out procedure. The whole experience was not relaxing. It really seemed like they were unprepared for the appointment with the rooms not being set up ahead of time. read more

If you're looking for just a plain o massage area then yes this is a good place. However if you're looking for a massage therapist to work on your full body massage this is probably not the place I would recommend. The staff were really nice. They use lotion on your full body. They make you choose an essential oil which I thought that was strange for a massage place. Overall not too bad of a experience read more

Summer's Massage Therapy provided great service and the online booking makes things simple. Cici does excellent massages and was able to work out knots that I didn't realize I had. The only down side is the lack of signage letting you know where to go. I was able to get in to have a deep tissue massage last night at 7:30 pm with CC. She was amazing! She knew exactly what I needed regarding the location of my pain. She worked very hard to get the tension out of my upper back from sitting at a desk all day. She also provided me with some simple stretches to hopefully avoid this type of pain in the future. She took extra time to work on my pressure points. I have gone several places however for the price, and techniques she used was beyond compare to other locations. Best massage ever! read more

Scheduled an appointment this morning for today - pleased that I could get a last-minute appointment. Had a deep-tissue massage from Casey ... Fabulous! She based music on my preference (classical) and focused the massage on areas I had identified. The bed was heated and a warm, damp town was used on my back after the intense massage of that area. If I lived in this area, I would definitely set up recurring appointments. read more
