I really liked the owner who I thought came across as honest, knowledgeable and a straight shooter. Also, the pricing was fair, the selection and quality of granite was impressive and they were very easy to communicate with. We put down a deposit and things got rolling quickly. The counters went down beautifully but there was some question about whether or not they'd be able to get all of the backsplashes done with the amount of material we had in our slabs. Ultimately, they made it happen without any drama or delay which was really appreciated. I also want to mention how impressed I was with their trustworthiness. They basically had complete access to our house for three days as well as the codes to get in and they didn't abuse the trust we placed in them whatsoever. The place was in exactly the same shape it was when we returned, with the exception of the fantastic granite they installed! All in all, great experience. Five stars.

If your bottom line is to get beautiful granite, installed well, and helpful suggestions that…read moreusually come from a designer then this is the business for you. Tiago is the owner - and visionary - so this is not just another fabricator shop. He travels to Brazil and orders containers of granite to be shipped to his Pompano Beach shop. We went to a couple of large granite/marble yards but wound up buying our granite from Tiago. He made great suggestions that absolutely made our bathrooms look great. In 2012 we purchased granite from Tiago and he installed the slabs in our kitchen. Tiago suggested that we widen our countertop, which we did. He also ran granite alongside a narrow wall so the cabinets looked custom-built. There is only 1 seam on the countertops - and it's only about 30" long! So I know to listen to Tiago when he makes recommendations! If you lack flexibility with scheduling or different people coming to do piecework (i.e. tile, granite installation, cabinet installation, painting/touch-up, etc.) think twice about the work you request. The more work and people assigned to the job, the more likely scheduling issues,etc. I did have a significant problem and Tiago made good on it. The tile guy started the walls by putting the tile seam off center. He then left the job and sent a proxy without telling Tiago - or me. The new tile guy was very nice but I think he lacked expertise. Ultimately some of the tile had to be removed and new tile had to be ordered and installed. We wound up splitting the cost of the new tile. I believe Tiago tried to be a contractor as a convenience to us. His granite was great, as was his installation. He put granite on the threshold of the shower stall and alongside the shower wall to offset the tile issues. Marlene runs his store and handles the administrative portion of each job. It's hard to keep everything on track and I don't envy her. Just know that she and Tiago have their hearts in the right place and your happiness matters to them. The Planet Marble guys are professional and really nice too. And yes, my bathroom is beautiful and nicer than I imagined. Hubby's bathroom is sharp too!

They corrected things that were not exactly the way we had anticipated. Amazingly on several days their men stayed 2 hours later!! Its interesting that on many construction jobs there are things which are left incomplete or not as promised. At the end of the project there was not one item that caused them to return for touch up etc. We would recommend them highly. One suggestion for all customers-not just Mr Kitchens: keep a running "punch list" as the job is being done. Many of the items will have been done during the project, but you will have a running list of things which need to be done. That really helps at the end of the project because quite frequently we forget things we wanted to discuss.

The most unprofessional Homedepot employees I have ever encountered. I rented a box truck from this…read morelocation for 1 day, went into the store for this order. As I finalized my order with the customer service desk, I asked how much I would be charged per hour if I brought the truck back after the 24 hour mark. I was told I'd be charged an hourly rate of $29 for each hour over the 24 hour mark. I used the truck to move to a new house, upon my arrival which went over by almost 4 hours, I was first asked if I wanted to keep the truck until the next day, I declined and explained I did not wish to do that because I did not want to get charged for 2 days. I was very confused why I was suggested I keep the truck for the rest of the day. I was then asked to pay for another 24 hours, so 2 days in total. For the record, I arrived before the 4 hour mark and the young lady who assisted me did not scan me in until at least 15 minutes later. When I asked why I was being charged so much, I was told that at the 4 hour mark, It automatically constitutes a full day fee. I asked repeatedly for someone to show me that on the contract signed the day before. No one, not even a supervisor could point to that verbiage on the contract. No one could confidently explain why I was being charged for an entire 24 hour period when I arrived right before a 4 hour mark. I paid a little over $300 for a move when I believed this would be the most cost-effective route over one of the other big name moving companies. What an absolute scam and disgrace to this corporation.
