5 stars! I'm in the process of moving to Texas from out-of-state and had planned to rekey my house as one of the first things on my to-do list. I had an appointment with another company for a 3-hour time slot from 1-4 pm to rekey my house and see if they could install high-security Mul T Locks. Well, they ended up being a no-show. So I called Ben around 5 pm to see if there was any way he could help me out. Long story short: he came through in a big way! Ben exceeded all of my expectations. He showed up within an hour. He was able to rekey the house to Mul T Locks without needing to do an on-site inspection that the other company was asking for. And he explained to me everything he was doing and his recommendations for adding deadbolts to certain doors, and was super quick in getting all of the locks installed. Their name says it all. These guys truly are the best! I needed a key fob programmed and cut and they were the best price around. They responded quickly to my Yelp quote request. In my first experience with them, Aaron came to me and after nearly 2 hours, they could not program my key because of the FOB itself (my fault since I had provided the FOB). They did not charge me for the time even though it was my fault. Amazing! I ended up getting a fob from them and they came back a few days later to successfully do the deed. It took 30 minutes total and Ben was so diligent. Both the owner Ben and Aaron were great to work with and were so courteous and patient the entire time. Rafael was very professional, friendly, and quick without compromising the quality of his work. He responded right away to my message and happen to be in the area. He arrived in about 10 mins! I needed my new house re-keyed which contains a lot of doors to access the outside. He did a very thorough job and even changed the ones that were installed backwards. After contacting Best Locksmith to change locks on my house, the owner called me within ten minutes to get more information about specifically what I needed. He notified Chris of the job, and he called me in under 5 minutes. Both were polite and knowledgeable. Chris was at the house in 30 minutes. After contacting several lock smiths to make a copy of my Honda vehicle key many did not offer the service. Best locksmith did and at a reasonable price. They tested the key to ensured it worked and provided friendly service. I was able to bring my own blank key to be copied as well. read more

You got to ask for Neil because he helped me out tonight after my dog walker got our key stuck in our front door lock! They were earlier than I expected. He was professional and able to problem solve the reason my key was stuck in the lock. Although, my lock couldn't be saved he was able to suggest some recommendations and didn't pressure me buying his lock. I re-added the screenshots of the text messages Rafael claims were "attempts to address the complain which she found harassing". Please take a look at the text messages in the screen shots below and let me know if you think this was an attempt to address the complaint or if maybe Rafael is living in some fantasy world where he sends very helpful text messages that automagically get transformed into harassment and threats. Darn that internet! I spoke with David again on 1/20/15 and he told me that the situation is complicated and that he can't just change his Yelp password to make sure people who have been let go can't access it. Then again, Rafael really wasn't let go as he's still actively involved Best Locksmith. You sit in a throne of lies, Best Locksmith. Since Rafael's dismissal was the reason why I agreed to remove the text messages and update this review last week; the information that he is still associated with this business leaves our agreement invalid. While I appreciate Rafael's questioning of my Yelp prowess and noting that I've only written 11 reviews in the 6 years I've been a member of this site, I find it somewhat odd. I did not know there was a ratio of reviews per year one must make to have their documented accounts of harassment and threats taken seriously. I will do my best to review more places, Rafael. I hate that you don't feel I'm working at my potential. See I thought that by only reviewing the places that made a significant impression on me, I was fulfilling my duty as a Yelp account holder. I now understand that I am to review every single place I step foot in, even if it's in the thousands! I trust that Rafael will discount any review he reads that does not meet his 2 reviews per year of account activity threshold as they are clearly part of some nefarious scheme to ruin people's lives. Also amusing is Rafael's "aha moment" that I must be related to the other locksmith I called that cold morning when I was locked out of my running car. Of course that's the most logical conclusion. There's no way I left that review because I called a different locksmith who unlocked my car with a smile and charged me less than Best Locksmith wanted to. Why the thought of that is simply preposterous! Clearly I am in cahoots with every other locksmith in town to force Rafael to send harassing text messages to his customers. Gosh what a lil stinker I am! Sure, I'm spending way too much time on this and should probably just let it go but this kind of bullying mentality with a blatant disregard for the truth simply ticks me off. I'm tired of seeing businesses lie and coerce so they can make a buck. So if you managed to make it this far, dear reader; I implore you to look at some of the other low rated reviews and some of the reviews that are not recommended. You'll see that my experience is not an isolated incident and maybe you'll chose to do business with a company that doesn't employ dangerous people who have access to your personal property. Update 1/16/15: I spoke with the business owner yesterday and he seemed genuinely upset over the actions of the employee who acted very inappropriately. He stated the employee who harassed and threatened me has been let go. I am updating this review because I feel that this action was an appropriate response to the issue I experienced and other reviews for this company speak highly of their service. I am still rather shaken by this whole experience but I am glad that David reached out to me personally to address and resolve the issue. Original Review 1/15/16: Straight up lied to me about the amount of time it would take. They told me 20 minutes on the phone but I got a call from the actual locksmith 10 minutes later and he said it was just dispatched to him and he'd be there in about 35 minutes. Updated Review: It gets better. I told the locksmith who called that I would find someone else because I couldn't wait that long and he said okay. After calling another locksmith who promised to be there within 15 minutes (and was), the guy from Best Locksmith called me back and told me he'd been dispatched to my location a second time. I told him that I had called someone else and he didn't know why he was asked to head my way again. I called him back after my car was unlocked to make sure he didn't waste more of his time and gas. This morning, a person from this company texted me and told me that I was "hurting ppl families by posting things like that" referring to this review. AMAZING doesn't even come close to the service and pricing Best Locksmith offers. Include, integrity, honesty, quality work and speed, and Best Locksmith will be my "go to" forever! Being new in town, and a new home owner, I called around to a handful of locksmiths (on Yelp and referrals too) last week (Oct 14, 2014) and Rafael was not only the only one who got back to me immediately, he beat the prices of every single competitor I looked in to. He arrived on time, assessed the locks, discussed my options and got right to work. He explained absolutely everything he was doing, showed me the parts in the boxes confirming everything was brand new, and kindly answered any questions I had. Never once did he try to "up sell" me either. Rafael even caught a "patch" a previous locksmith had done and he fixed it no questions asked. Having a locksmith out to your home requires a lot of trust and Rafael immediately put me at ease. His word is his word and integrity and character go a long way in my book. One has to wonder how a company has a perfect 5 star rating on yelp. What's their secret? Are they really perfect?? Here's their secret: Ben (not sure if he owns the company or just works for them) will be point of contact for your locksmith needs. After he does his work, he will give you a high price for his service. but wait! He will give you a 10% discount if you give him a 5 star rating on yelp and you must show him the review on the spot. Weeks of searching by numerous members of the staff, we finally found BEST Locksmith on Coit Road in Dallas. They live up to that name! We have a 2" thick front door, and could not find a deadbolt that would fit and match the existing hardware, without a special order, and a long wait. Seli at BEST Locksmith was on it - found what we needed, and sent an amazing technician, Haim, to install it. Haim was tidy, efficient, did a pristine job of putting in the new deadbolt, and even tightened a loose door handle. This is a top-shelf operation.
