I just visited for the first time and I had a terrific experience. Nicole (the owner) Ann and the woman who did my pedicure (sorry I don't know her name) were all so friendly and attentive. They took their time with both my gel manicure and my regular pedicure, and I felt relaxed and genuinely welcome. When I had trouble picking out a color, the woman doing my pedicure was patient and kind and showed me samples of all the gel colors and gave me time to decide. Horrible experience! The girl ripped the skin off my upper lip when waxing. I didn't notice it until I got home and saw a large patch of open red skin which was raw and burning. I would not go back I, this was unprofessional and she obviously lacked experience. read more

Terrible!! The gel manicure maybe last 4 days if you're lucky. I went to get them fixed. Asked for a refund. My answer was "we polish over one more time like brand new" that's definitely not what I wanted! I left the next day and when they "fixed" it it chipped again! Needless to saU they don't sanitize their tools. They tried to use a dirty tool on me and they faked it by putting it in a bag that needed to be auto claved. Disgusting. I didn't let them touch me with it. Don't waste your time or health or safety of your hands on this salon. I highly recommend coco nails in rivervale. Best mani-pedi I've gotten by far. I live in Los Angeles, the land of weekly mani-pedis and had to come to Ridgewood to get the best mani pedi I've had in years. I had my elderly mom w me and they treated her with kindness and respect during her service as well. I also came in on a Saturday when they were incredibly busy for a waxing and they literally stopped what they were doing to squeeze me in b/c I was headed to the airport. At first I was very happy with this nail salon. But I have since become very displeased with the women who work here. They berate you, yell at you, and give you unsolicited opinions . God for bid your nails are too long! They also love to speak in their native language and it is obvious they are speaking negatively about you. I really like this nail salon because they are clean, friendly and the inside of the salon is pretty. The parking in ridgewood can be painful but they have parking in front of their nail place and a lot in the back. The location makes it easier than paying for metered parking on the main drag. This pedicure was possibly one of the worst experiences I've never had. I used to come here years ago and they did a good but today my experience was rushed, and sub par. I got a less then 5 minute massage with minimal lotion, a 2 second scrub which was put on just as quickly as it was taken off, no gel on my heels or anything, and the woman kind of hurt me while putting on the polish. I was in and out in less and 20 minutes. Absurd. Oh AND I paid $27 dollars, are they kidding me?? I won't ever be back here. If you're going to pay 25 dollars or more I would suggest daisy nails, they're so much better. read more

This cute little nail salon definitely deserves five stars! I called a few days prior to book an early appointment, the lady extremely nice & helpful answered all of my questions and concerns. Finally the day of my appointment came, and on this rainy day everything seemed to make sure I arrived late to my appointment of course I was but thankfully they have plenty of parking in the back so that wasn't a problem. As soon as I got there they were able to start my gel manicure, the lady did a great job making sure all my cuticles were cut & clean. They still took their time making sure they did a good job even though I was late and was in a rush as well. This cute nail salon is very boutique like.. has a lot of different gel color options as well as regular nail polish options. For the exceptional job they do, the price is very reasonable. I absolutely love this place, they take their time and pay attention to what you want. I never feel rushed through, even when they are busy. The technicians always take extra time to seal the tips of the nails and use fast drying top coats, you can't ask for more! Pedicures have been great too, extra massage and a great job on the toes! This salon is amazing! I used to drive into NYC for waxing and was so thrilled to find Best Nails closer to home!!! The Brazilian waxes are the best around... Clean quick half the price of what I paid in NYC and as pain free as you can get! The technicians Young, Suki & Betty perform the absolute BEST services!! They are perfectionists! There may be lots of salons around in the area but this one by far is the BEST! I've also tried the gel mani and UV mani and they did can amazing job... Quality seems to have gone down. I went in last week for a pedicure, waited 10-15 minutes for a scheduled appointment. Seemed she had just started on someone's pedicure right before my appointment time. Basically I was out of there with in 35 minutes. So 2 pedicures were completed in that much time. The girl seemed like she was in a rush. Typically a pedicure that would be 30 minutes was around 15 minutes, with an attitude.
