Every lady knows the struggles of finding new nail and hair salons after moving. Lucky that I hit the nail on the head with my first try here. Their gel manis are solid, lasting over 2 weeks. What makes this place really special is their regular pedicure which includes a honey wrap, hot stone massage, and pumic scrub -- what a fantastic treat! I think that the polish application is the most important part of a manicure/pedicure. It's why I go and what I am paying for. Personally I can do without the scrubbing and rubbing and massages, especially if they do a lousy job applying the polish. The polish application was not very good / sloppy on several occasions and the reason that I wont go back. Even a gel manicure had to be partially redone. More than once I made an appointment with a certain technician and then I was switched to someone else once I was in the chair. read more

giving them 2 stars because MOST of the workers are very nice. However, it is clear that the owner of this business is unreasonable and rude. They charge an additional $7 or $9 just to use the special Essie nail polish, and they will double it if you use the same polish on both your hands and feet. i've been told one price for a service on the phone, yet in person, she charged me a higher price. you can tell that she looks for every tiny opportunity to make money and it is unreasonable. never coming back here again. read more

Just found my new go-to nail salon! Highly recommend! I stumbled upon Lime Nails on my drive home and decided to pop in. This was my first mani pedi since giving birth to my son. I was so happy to feel comfortable with the cleanliness of the place. The staff are extremely friendly and go above and beyond to do a good job and make you feel nice. I had such a lovely experience. I loved that at each stage of my treatments I never felt rushed. They took time to ensure they did a good job and I was satisfied. They offer a little card for a discount after a certain number of treatments. I walked out feeling rejuvenated, which is an incredible feeling for a new mom! Amazing service and prices at this new nail salon in ridgewood! While a lot of places in the area are raising prices, here they are still charging very fair values. $35 gel manicure is great! But the service is also impeccable. My pedicure was almost an hour long--including a honey massage, hot stone massage, lotion, and callous softener on the heels all included in a regular pedicure. Manicure also looks incredible, with dozens and dozens of color options and great attention to detail. The staff is so nice, funny, attentive. I'll definitely be back! I can't wait to go back. The regular pedicure is the best I've had in a few years. And they still have the plexiglass up for protection. Everything is clean, sanitized clippers and a brand new pack of toe separators, pumice and nail file open in front of me. A honey wrap, stone massage, something on my heels (think parrafin) and a heated towel around my neck. I am pleasantly surprised by how much I was taken care of and how relaxed I was. I just had my second regular pedicure at Lime Nails in Ridgewood. Having honey and coconut oil massaged into my legs was heavenly! It's so nice that they use completely natural products. Ava spent so much time soothing the muscles in my feet and legs that I had to ask to ensure I wasn't getting one their special spa pedis. My nails look great and my soul is restored. Subject: "No Rush Service!" I decided to try this new salon yesterday to get regular mani and pedi. My appointment was at 10:45 AM, and I arrived a few minutes early. The "owner" assigned a sweet girl to work on my toes. As lovely as she was, she was very-very slow. I asked her a couple of times if she could pick up pace a bit. At 11:45 AM, an hour later, she finally started to apply the nail polish, and she went very slow about it. So, I asked her to stop painting my toes around 12:00 PM because there was no way I was going to make my other appointment if it took an hour and a half to have a straightforward pedicure, and then spend another hour or more (based on the pedicure experience) on manicure. I told the owner that I had to go because I had a doctor's appointment at 1:00 PM. The owner explained to me that her service was "No Rush Service!" and that I should have budgeted more time for both mani and pedi. I have had my nails done for 20 years and never did I have to spend nearly TWO and a HALF hours on straightforward mani-pedi. Usually, it takes an hour and 15 minutes. So, if you plan to give this salon a go, please be aware of and plan to sit for two and a half hours. I booked an appointment a day later at Cozy Nails up the street from this salon and the ladies there took care of my regular mani and pedi in less than 1 hour and 15 minutes and I was happy with the quality of the work. read more

I've been looking for a new nail salon to try that offers more colors or gel techniques and I think I've found the one! Right across the street from a parking lot, Lime Nails is fresh, new, and clean. They opened a new individual nail file and buffer in front of me, were not aggressive with the drill to remove the old gel on my nails, and when I asked them if they could avoid cutting my cuticles, the technician gently worked to remove any debris with the drill gently. And when I say gently, I mean GENTLY. It was clear she wanted my nails to be as clean as possible while respecting my request not to cut. They even put a really nice warm shoulder pad/pack on you while you're getting your nails done. My only negative (if you call it that) is that I wish I picked a dark color for the cat eye gel - but that was entirely on me lol. Some pictures on Google show that they also do gel designs, but I didn't see anyone ask, but I'm sure I will eventually! They have 10 different options for spa pedicures and I'm excited to give those a try on top of going for another manicure. It's worth it! read more
