This place is a little out of the way for me, but I will definitely be going back. It's less modern and more cozy/small, but the service was great. I got a pedicure and the polish has lasted me much longer than I had anticipated. One thing to note though, you have to tip in cash, and they don't have an ATM- I had to use the ATM at CVS and then go back, so if you're going, make sure you have cash for the tip. read more

I have been going to Nidland Park Salon for years stayed everything a new owner took over. Last Wednesday I was there the owners daughter kept doing a fake sneeze not covering her mouth the owner never told her daughter to cover her mouth. A few days later I got a virus I called the owner she said how can I prove I got sick from her daughter. She said her daughter was not sick thete are 2 points here teach your daughter to cover her mouth. This is a place of business I felt very uncomfortable and so did other customers I am the only one who let the owner how I felt. I will no longer be going anymore I spent 65 and got a virus also. read more

The woman who did my lavender pedicure did an awesome job paying attention to every little detail. The salon has those plastic liners which I love from a cleanliness perspective. Also the massages at the end while my toes were drying from both my pedicurist and the manager were both phenomenal. However the my only disappointment was the dated decor. This was only the second or third manicure I've ever had, but definitely the most enjoyable. While I can of course do basic hand maintenance myself, there are some very nice perks to having a professional do it (relaxing, hand massage, neck massage, friendly conversation, supporting local small business owners, etc). It's great. I strongly recommend that all people practice a little self care when they can. I hope to make this a more frequent treat for myself...and you should too! You and any person you make hand contact with will thank you ;) The pictures also look great for people who get polish or other services. I am always hesitant in going to a new nail salon, just because of the cleanliness factor and the overall general quality. This place is tiny, there's very little parking in the front (I parked in the King's parking lot across the street), and its not super extravagant inside. But let me tell you, the service and quality is why I will definitely be going back. I went on a saturday afternoon with my cousin, and even though we look younger than we actually are, we were treated with the utmost respect. I had Amy, and my cousin used Arlyn (?). They were super friendly, never rushed, and were very diligent in everything they did. When we had a hard time picking colors, they even let us "try out" a couple colors, and helped us decide. Overall, I am very happy with this place, and will definitely be going back the next time my cousin and I have our cousin date. Oh, and FYI: Color Gel = $30. Manicure = $12 Pedicure = $22 If you do gel and pedicure, its $50 even. read more

Don't go here if you want acrylic nails!! The owner will badger you to do gel for the entire time you are there trying to enjoy your nail experience. Then if that's not enough I paid MORE then I have ever paid in my life to get my nails filled just to get badgered. Theresa who did my nails did a good job. 2nd visit in 2 weeks. Today my teen broke a nail that was done last week. I took her to get 1 nail fixed, told what we were there for. Yes, okay, then am told $40 and I tipped. So my $10-12 nail fix ended up being $50. My daughter said the lady yelled to me "full set" and I said yes apparently. I did not say yes to that, I thought she yelled her nails thin. i said yes. Sad thing is I could have been repeat business. Misunderstanding maybe, but a $50 learning experience to make sure you get price up front and not have add ons after you agree on service. cash only should be a warning sign. They only accept cash here and I had to use my emergency 50 I keep because I was not anticipating that amount. They are friendly and it left me sadly feeling taken advantage of. read more

Lee is the sweetest, most accommodating person and she's worked very hard to upgrade the salon. Gina still works there and she and all the employees are lovely.
