Came in as a walk in needing a fill on a Sunday afternoon. There were only 2 nail techs, so my wait was about 30min. It was worth it. Yen did a great job and she had great customer service. I don't mind a wait for quality service and Yen definitely delivered. I plan to go back. Terrible! I think nail salons give me the new person every time! I went in for a full set with gel polish. The nails were so sloppy and looked awful. I could have complained and refused to pay but I'm not that person. Also - the polish must have been old - it was streaky. The woman even called two people over to look at it. To be honest I don't know what was said because they didn't do anything about it. $50 is a lot of money especially considering I had to go somewhere else after that to get it fixed. I went in for a pedicure and was done within 15 minutes. All they did was trim my nails and painted them for $25. They didn't rub them, didn't scrub the heels, nothing. My nail polish is lumpy, I probably could of done a better job. Super disappointed in the quality of the service here! :( read more

So we moved to NC a year ago. I have been coming here since. The last time I went in , was the final straw. I sat with the owners wife. The owner is the sweetest man. But his wife? Nope. Only if you sit there and let her do what she wants, shes a sweetheart! But the second you correct anything, it's like she turns into another person. As a customer, I feel that if I am spending my hard earned money, ATTEMPTING to relax for once, and nicely ask for a service, it shouldn't be too much to ask. But I guess I was wrong. All because I told her that the shape was off, (meanwhile I showed her a picture and ask for a certain "in between" shape that she said she could do, but every time she tried to correct it, it wasn't right, so I nicely told her, what needed to be done. I understand working in customer service and having a customer that asks for "a lot" (which wasn't a lot because Im paying extra for a shape) but as a PROFESSIONAL, there is a way to handle it and she did the exact opposite. She ignored me, and when I kept saying anything, she got mad and more aggressive (i.e. filing so hard that my skin became raw, being rough with my hands,...). She would speak to her coworker about me and my husband who was sitting right next to me (little did they know, we understood every word they said. Thank you military lol. But yea, hurtful things were said about both of us. ) So once she finished filing my nails, she literally THREW my hand and said have a good day, got up and stormed off. My husband was with me and we were left infuriated because of what was said about us, but mainly we were left CONFUSED. Because at that point, the shape was fine, and I thought everything was good. So once she did that, I asked if I should go wash my hands now because I wasn't sure. But she literally just got up and walked away. And then the owner came over and tried to explain to me and justify as to why she was acting that way. He tried to say because the last time I said "the shape was off" ON ONE NAIL, when I got a pedicure. I even fixed it myself and she was ok with it! We laughed about it! It did make me uncomfortable that he brought up another time when I "was unhappy" with a simple issue that was easily fixed, but thats besides the point. She was just giving terrible customer service. Like I said, I have been going for the past year. I went there throughout my whole pregnancy, I even brought my mom in because of how much I love that place. If I bring my MOTHER, you know I like you lol But that one experience was enough to turn anyone away. Im pretty tough, but that genuinely left me in tears. The owner comped my services, but at the end of the day, that doesn't fix what was done. I'm not gonna tell anyone not to go there, because the prices and the service are generally good. But I really hope that you don't catch one of them on an off day and have to deal with that. Because I feel that if you work hard, and you are going to spend your money somewhere to get a service, and just pamper yourself (especially as a mother, we dont get days like that often) then I don't think that you should be leaving (what was supposed to be the highlight of your day) in tears and embarrassment. It was just a very sad situation. And on top of that, telling someone to express that you were unhappy with the service before paying, is ridiculous. Because when you do, you get treated horribly. So I fully understand why people will sit there and deal with bad service, and still pay for it. Because the way that I felt, Im sure no one wants to feel that way. I rarely, if ever, leave bad reviews but this was one situation that I could NOT let go unheard. Im giving 2 stars because they have generally been sort of good to me, but the service was so bad the last time, that it really left me shook up (and pissed from what was said) there was no way I could do a full five :( read more

I'm a big fan of the shellac manicure, but here it's $30. if you just want the shellac or gel polish it's $20(no manicure). I think the prices are a little high since a normal manicure is only around $15. While I'm aware that the shellac paint is a few dollars more expensive than the normal OPI, but to charge $15 more per manicure is ridiculous. I've stopped getting them because I simply can't justify the cost. I could justify $20 for a shellac/ gel manicure but $30 is highway robbery in my opinion. It takes no more time to do than a regular manicure, and the Shellac color never lasts the full 3 weeks like they say, it barely stays on 1.5 weeks. Unfortunately in this area that is the average price of the gel manicure so I can't recommend anywhere else to go. They also don't do any type of rewards card, like buy 10 get 1 free or something like that. read more

Gonna try not to write a novel, but I'm irritated. For those who don't wanna read all this: MAIN POINT: GO SOMEWHERE ELSE! I came in and requested a fill only. She ended up charging me $30. It should only be $15. I went in the next day to ask why it was so much, and she said it's because she did the gel and the white tip. I DIDN'T ASK FOR ANY OF THAT. Apparently, they do a regular acrylic fill, and a gel fill, but she didn't explain that to me at the time, and instead of clarifying with me which one I wanted, she just went ahead and did the more expensive one. She also informed me they have a no refund policy, so even if I could convince her that she gave me something I didn't ask for and shouldn't have been charged for, they wouldn't have given me my money back anyway. After I decided to just eat the cost this time, I asked her if while I was there she could cut down my nails on just one side, because they were a little bit too long. My right hand was totally fine, I specifically said JUST the left hand needed to be cut down. After she started to cut down the nails on the left hand side she said she would probably cut the nails on the other side as well. I told her that wasn't necessary- the length on the other hand was fine, and when she asked if I was sure, I responded that I definitely was. When she was finished, she looked at my right hand and said she needed to do it anyway, so she cut them down even after I told her 2 or 3 times that I didn't want her to do that!! It was UNBELIEVEABLE how blatantly she ignored what I asked her. I feel manipulated because she charged me for all this s#!+ I didn't even ask for, and she didn't say anything while she was doing them about what would cost extra and what wouldn't. The work is fine, but if you don't want to be forced to pay for things you don't ask for, save yourself the hassle and GO SOMEWHERE ELSE. read more

The man who did my nails and pedicure was rude. He didn't know what he was doing, getting instructions from the younger girl. I do a better pedicure, all he did was scrub my heel and paint my toes. I feel like this place is a rip off. The more grow out you have the more money it's going to cost for a fill. The hell? This is the only place I've heard of that does this. It usually cost me $18 to get a fill & a $2-$3 tip. Why did it cost me $30 to get a fill? That's how much it should cost if I was getting a full set, but I wasn't. Their work isn't that good either. I had a French shellac manicure done here, as well as a nail repair. The lady who did my nails was nice and very friendly, but I feel like she rushed the job :( Perhaps it was the sudden rush of people that walked in -- there was a woman who walked in with her daughter, another woman by herself, and another woman who walked in with her 2 kids. There were only 2 nail professionals working (or so it seemed), so I think that's why my lady started rushing. She was very sweet and did a great job repairing my one nail that broke, as well as making sure the white tips on my manicure were perfectly curved and neat -- but I think she rushed the application of the polish and drying time, because I had a bunch of bubbles the next day :( She was really quick and the nails looked great initially, but the bubbles less than 24 hours later killed it for me. Nonetheless, I would come back and just make sure she takes her time and applies the polish more evenly so there aren't any bumps. As for the price and services -- not bad. It was $25 for the French shellac and I'll probably come back to get my pedicure done, as their massage chairs looked inviting. I can't complain -- the prices here are better than up in Northern VA, and I have to give the lady some credit in getting my nails done quickly since she knew my boyfriend was waiting for me. They also had this really pretty mural/painting in the background of the pedicure chairs and for the most part, the salon was clean and well-lit. As for the tools though - I didn't check to see if she used a new set on me, since all she did was file my nails and apply the shellac --- but if sanitation is on point next time, I'll probably make this my go-to place whenever I'm here. I absolutely love Best Nails. They have some of the best pedicures here!! The Citus Lemon Pedicure is fabulous and my favorite!! Your feet and legs are scrbbed with fresh lemons and wrapped with a cooling masque gel. They also massage the bottom of your feet with hot stones and wrap your legs in hot towels. My hands and feet always ferl refreshed when I leave here. The environment is very relaxing and the employees are extremely friendly. Ask for Wendy!! She's a sweetheart. read more

This place is overpriced and does a pretty subpar job. I went in for a refill today on my lunch break. I usually go to a place in Southern Pines and now I remember why. I just get acrylic laid over my real nail and gel color... She made them SO short and the shape is absolutely terrible. It looks like she just dropped acrylic on top and painted over it. Then her "design" of polka dots - I mean seriously how easy right? Apparently not. She cut the nails so small and then put BIG dots on them so it just looks ridiculous. I had to pay $38 for this!! That is outrageous for a refill and especially for one she knew I was unhappy with. I now have to go back to my place in Southern Pines and have them redo them (and pay again)..not only that, they'll have to put tips on because she cut them so short they won't be able to fix them. I am so upset and recommend you DO NOT go here. I also had my eyebrows done and they look ok. Nothing special but at least they have some shape to them. read more
