I felt like the woman was rushing through and didn't let my nails sit under the light for a full minute and I asked her if they were really getting dry and she said yes. My nails look great so far, but my qualms are with their bedside manners. You cant just come to America and milk us for our money, not learn or comprehend our language/cultural customs and expect us to be OK with that just because you do really good nails. Heck no. Sure its convenient but the man who did my nails had no bedside manners. FAKE IT TILL U MAKE IT BUDDY. He was rough, he didnt understand or feigned not understanding my wishes. Great customer service and best SNS (dip powder) manicure I've had in DC thus far. I went to Tammy, the manager, who is extremely hospitable and very meticulous when she does nails. I've found my new nail salon. Everything is new and clean. They use sterilized tools that come in a sealed bag. I didn't get a pedicure but saw that they covered the tubs with plastic bags as well. The worst experience you can have. I went in with my girls, one of the young lady asked me to sit down and do my nails. While I was in there, the lady who did my nail bosses me around, say put you hands here, put your hands there. Don't move! Turn off your massage chair, because the chair are moving, I can not do you nail. She did not even say one time please . Simply order and rude! I will never visit this place again. It is the worst spa experience you can have in DC. Me and my girlfriend looked at each other and like what is going on with this lady. This is my second time visiting this nail salon and it was much better than my first experience. For the sake of this review I will focus on my recent visit... I normally have an acrylic overlay on my natural nails because while long they tend to break easily. A friend of mine suggested the dip powder as an alternative to the harsh acrylic and I was happy to see this salon offered the service. I opted for a gel pedicure with the SNS dip powder mani and had two nails repaired. I was there for two hours. While the timing could be improved, the staff was very nice and actually worked on my mani/pedi simultaneously. I have been getting many compliments on my nails and for the convenience I will absolutely return as they are right across from my place of business. My nails were completely done with the powder, even the design. My pedi is still pristine. Again, I think they can do better on time but otherwise I am satisfied. read more

Wheelchair accessible- in the lower level of Union Station and accessible by the elevator. A bit tight to maneuver my wheelchair, but it's doable. They always make me comfortable with extra pillows/towels since the pedicure chairs are too big. I don't recommend going during the hours of 4-6pm, it's always busy with commuters. Lots of colors to choose from. Nail tech listened to how I wanted my nails done and the gel didn't look thick (a problem I always have). A bit pricey ($88 w/out tip for gel mani and pedi with barely any massage or pampering). But worth the convenience. read more

I had about an hour and a half to kill before catching my train home, and was pleasantly surprised to find a nail salon so conveniently located inside Union Station. I showed up without an appointment, and they were able to fit me in pretty quickly, even though all of the nail techs were busy. The nail tech who helped me was very friendly and chatty. She was also super efficient and did a great job with my tricky and very short nails. She even gave me some advice regarding taking supplements strengthening my nails, as she had done. The price was a bit high - 52$ for a gel manicure and eyebrow and lip waxing, but it was worth paying for because of how fast and convenient it was. Plus, the quality was really good as well. Definitely worth going as it's a very productive way to kill some time before hopping on a train. :) read more

This salon took me in right away. I had no appointment. I was promptly seated and greeted right away. Everyone was very friendly and the lovely lady who did my nails did a fantastic thorough job. They don't use cheap nail polish and I never felt rushed one bit. I accidentally smudged one nail and she quickly fixed it. For a nail salon, it's one of the better ones I've experienced. The worst experience I've ever had at a nail salon. I've been getting my nails done for over 15 years and no one has ever done as poor of a job. They attempt to do a pedicure and manicure. The job seemed rush. My toes where done poorly someone else had to assist her. My nails started to chip same day and on the third day most of my nails where off. I called and they told me I could come back in to get everything fixed. Once I got there they told me I had to wait about 2 hours due to appointment. Do not utilize this place. The man did my entire pedicure in 20 minutes. All of my toenails are crooked and some way longer/shorter than others. When I tried to explain to him that they weren't even he told me my toenails were "ugly" repeatedly. No one spoke enough English to understand that I simply wanted him to make my nails even and take the polish off my skin. I had a long layover, but was skeptical about some reviews. I decided to give a pedi a chance and I'm glad I did. Cindy was wonderful. She took her time and did a few bells and whistles my normal salon doesn't do. It was $28 for a pedi on June 10th and I got a compliment TODAY, on what a great pedi and I swim everyday. I've been here many times as it's convenient to where I work and my commute. The service really depends on the manicurist. The man who works here is rude and does a sloppy job (my gel manicure lasted a week or less when he did it). However, my other experiences have been fine. It's a decent job for a decent price. If you're looking to feel pampered though, this isn't the place. The inconsistency is not ideal, but I return because the location is convenient and the price is okay ($35 for a gel manicure). I have been to a few nails techs recently that are rough and have cut me during the process. She was very gentle. I love love love this salon! I've been to several Salons on H st and have been disappointed over and over again! But Best Nails....this like heaven for my nails! I'm very particular about my nails and have ZERO complaints about how they do my nails. I get SNS manicures and it's been perfect each and every time. They last for at least 3-4 weeks with no chipping/cracking/fading! The pedicures are great, very clean,sanitary (they place a fresh bag over the bowl which I've never seen done before) and relaxing. I received a basic pedicure from a young female (cannot recall her name). The pedicure chair was clean and the water temp and quality of the actual pedicure was pretty good, granted before polishing my nails she adjusted the seat to where my knees were nearing my chin (I exaggerate but you get the picture). I always bring my own polish...so I cannot comment on their selection. My only semi-complaint is that she constantly readjusted my feet and legs...strange, maybe a bit OCD. Oh, she tried to sell Dollar Tree flip flops for $5 when I asked for pedicure flip flops (the flimsy ones typically provided with the service). After several repeats she was able to locate the (free) flimsy ones. The location is perfect when you don't have time to visit your regular nail salon. read more
