Dishonest--when I bought tires here, they told me I had a break pad that was almost used up and quoted high price to replace them. Took it to my regular mechanic and they told me the breaks were fine. Also did not honor price matching pledge. read more

Went in for radiator flush, serpentine belt replacement, and some other minor fix. Ended up with mild coolant leak after and was told they didn't do it. No leak before and leak after says hmm someone fucked up. But took it back in so they could tell me coolant elbows were replaced and flush done again. Got vehicle back and the leak was worse. Took it to a friend who then told my radiator was cracked. So 2 mechanic bills and a new radiator, yeah I was a lil pissed. read more

This was the first and last time I take any of my cars to Best One. Bait & Switch ! I called Best One to see if they could do an alignment on my on my '08 Range Rover. They said yes, I was quoted $80, and the person on the phone looked up the model and told me it had electronic steering but that wouldn't affect the cost. When the alignment was completed, I was told the bill was $120. 50% MORE THAN THE QUOTE! When I said I was quoted $80, he said my vehicle has electronic steering so that's more. When I said "you guys knew that when you quoted me a price", he said "'well '08 was a transition year" and not all had that steering. That's simply not true (they obviously don't know Land Rover/Range Rover), as all '08 Range Rovers have the same steering system......... and the electronics only affect how easy it is to turn the wheel at different speeds. It has nothing to do with setting the alignment which is purely a mechanical function. Beware of Best One's business practices. read more

My family has taken all of our vehicles (mine, my husband's and now my teen son's) to Best One (Richmond, IN) for the last 10 years or so. They are reliable, quick to respond and very knowledgeable. Last summer, I had a van issue in Ohio and Roger (the manager) talked me through what I needed to do to get back home safely. Last night, my battery pooped out from the bitter cold and they got me right in to replace my still-under-warranty battery. I can't say enough about Roger, Mike, Clint and all the techs. My car had been in a wreck and I needed to have a bent rim replaced! I told the mechanic I also wanted to have the front end inspected for any other damage and he allowed me to come in the garage and see for myself if there was damage! He got the rim on and we checked the balance on all tires which were off but they were friendly, fast efficient and affordable! I would recommend Best-One to everyone! read more

This is a revision to my initial review dated January 18, 2022 of Best-One Tire Richmond Indiana. After my negative previous service experience and written review of Best-One Tire Richmond I was contacted by a Mr. Nick Howe who I was told today is their "area manager" and who was genuinely disappointed and concerned with my previous service experience as I was. He assured me that what I experienced as customer was "not the way we do business here." Nick offered me several options to rectify the situation but I was more impressed with his genuine interest to keep me as a Best-One Tire customer. We agreed that I would take my car back to their shop today, January 25, 2022 and Nick assured me that my 2003 Grand Prix would be fixed RIGHT even "if his staff had to work on that car all day to do it!" Nick is a man of his word. My engine miss issue has been resolved. I received rides to and from my home while the car was being repaired and when I received my car back it was running perfectly once more. Thanks to Nick I will continue to be a Best-One Tire customer and I will recommend Best-One tire to all my friends and family for all their car care needs. I took my son's 2013 Chevrolet Impala to the Best One tire and auto care here in Richmond Indiana today January 5, 2021 to repair the blower for his heat and an oil change and we could not be more pleased with the service. Best One has really friendly, quick service. When I had some trouble with the transmission mount and a belt on my 1994 LeBaron, I took it in. They fixed it right up within a day, for only about a hundred bucks, and took care of my oil and fluids too for a cheaper price (about 29 bucks) than the jiffy lube. I had graduated from Earlham about a month before I ran into the car trouble, and they gave me the Earlham discount anyway. If I still lived in Richmond, I would take my car here every time anything needed to be done. read more

If you are looking for an honest and professional tire and auto repair group in Richmond, Best One Tire & Service is the place to go. I was driving my daughter from Chicago to Ohio for the beginning of the school year last month and had the misfortune of breaking down on the interstate near Richmond. Not knowing anyone in the area, I was very uncomfortable thinking about where to take the vehicle and whether we could find someone who would not take advantage of our situation. We had a long wait for AAA to come to us and I researched repair shops in the area. I saw the reviews and called and talked to the owner, who said that if we could get the truck to him before closing he would make sure we got it looked at and fixed. I had the truck towed to Best One and Roger and his team immediately examined the damage to try and help us on our way. I was hoping that the problem was a minor radiator hose issue, but it turned out to be a blown head gasket. On my son's old SUV it would have cost more to repair it than the vehicle was worth. Roger called around for us and got us a great rate on a rental to complete the trip, and then called salvage yards on our behalf to get the best price for the SUV. He then allowed us to store the vehicle on his lot until we could get the title and get back to Richmond to complete the sale to the salvage yard. He had one of his techs named Peter drive us to the car rental office, and made sure we were taken care of. Peter spent the whole trip talking about how much he enjoyed working at Best One and what a great boss Roger was to all the crew. It really impressed us how much of a family the people at this place are. In all, Roger and the team at Best One made a very difficult episode easier for my daughter and me. They were honest and professional and really went out of their way to make out of towners feel welcomed and taken care of. I would recommend them very highly. read more

I was three hours from home and my car broke down. The local police station recommended this place and I couldn't be happier with the results. The gentlemen at this store calmly helped my stressed self and explained the processes thoroughly so I could understand the work being done to my car. They worked efficiently and my car is working better than ever. The service was incredible and everyone was super friendly. On a recent cross country trip (holiday weekend no less) we had a tire blowout on I-70 as we were passing through Richmond. Luckily we found Best One Tire & Service. We arrived in a state of panic but Roger and the rest of the great people here went above and beyond (immediately driving over an hour to pick up replacement tires) to make sure that we got out of there safely that afternoon. Immediately after moving to Richmond, I had to have my muffler and tail pipe replaced. There weren't a lot of reviews for any of the local places, and those that existed were either really good or really bad (sometimes for the same place). I, somewhat randomly, went with Best One because they had a website and some good reviews, including the one here. Overall, I got pretty good service. I was able to request an appointment online and it was confirmed the next day. The place was clean and the staff seemed friendly and pretty helpful. I ended up paying $150 for both the muffler and tailpipe, which is more expensive than I was expecting. I can't really compare it to other locations in town though, so I don't know if that's the average cost here in Richmond. Only weird thing was that they had to take my car off-site to have the muffler welded on. I didn't really have a problem with it, but if you'd prefer to be within sight of your car, it might be an issue. I would go again for future problems and I heard them quote a pretty good price on an oil change to another customer. read more
