I went into the store on February 12, and spoke to one of the service technicians regarding my jeep. I had the tires rotated about three weeks ago and the very day after they were rotated I noticed a noise from the front end of the car, it sounded like it was coming from the tires. It was like a rattling type noise.. It only happens when my car hits a certain speed like on the interstate, which, I have to drive multiple times throughout the day. When I had looked up possible causes for this noise one of them was, if the tires had been rotated, but not properly placed back on that, could be the reason. Also, my vehicle has been pulling to the left. So, The technician says that he needs to drive my car to check this out, so I give him the keys thinking he'll drive the car down the road and back and then when he comes back, he'll put it up on the lift inside their garage, and look underneath of it to Make sure that the bolts have been placed properly. Make sure that the tires were properly balanced, and make sure everything was properly aligned. But, that's not what he did, he walks back into the store looks at me and says "so how long has that steering wheel been crooked" I responded "it hasn't been. There's nothing wrong with my steering wheel". Then he says How long has it been pulling to the left? I'm like, since the day after you did the rotation. Then he tells me that the source of the sound has to be the ball bearings, and that I need to take my car to a general mechanic and have them check it out. He Didn't spend one second actually looking at the tires or checking the bolts that hold the tire on. As I mentioned before, I'm on the interstate all throughout the day several days out of the week. If God literally forbidding something goes wrong with this vehicle, it's not just my life! And this is my only vehicle to get to and from my job! And I cannot just keep taking off work and come in there and have somebody dismiss my concerns. So once I got to work, I had to find an automotive repair shop that is open past 5 o'clock so I can go and have my vehicle evaluated for something that even the repair man, over the phone, stated, sounded very much like whoever rotated the tires did not put something on properly or didn't align or balance them. Fortunately, this repair shop also does tire repair and replacement and alignment. Ps. The link they sent me in response to my review. Goes to a website for you to join their fleet program. I'm the fleet manager for a local security company and had a patrol vehicle in to get the tires replaced. The customer service was really good i have no complaints about that. The thing I did have an issue with was when I returned to pick up my patrol car the service technician left the car unlocked with all the equipment in the vehicle including a computer. I also did a brief inspection around the vehicle once I got the car back to my office and I noticed one of the center caps on the wheels was caved in which would only happen if someone tried kicking it to put it back on. I wish the employees were more considerate of customer property and lock vehicles and not damage vehicles when putting them back together. read more

I have had good experiences with Discount Tire in the past, so I walked in feeling confident that they would take care of me. Unfortunately that was not the case today. I had a slow leak in one of my rear tires and was hoping they would be able to patch it. They inspected the wear on my rear tires and said they strongly recommend that I replace the two of them. I asked if they looked at the leak I came in for and they said no, they didn't, but again, they strongly recommend I replace these tires. I knew I needed them, so I went ahead and got them, but they didn't even inspect the leak, and that didn't sit right with me. But wait, there's more! They came back to tell me one of my wheels is bent and again said they "strongly recommend" I'd better replace all 4 wheels. I told them there's no way I'm doing that today. Do the staff here make commission? They sure acted like it today. It felt like a predatory sales situation. This was really disappointing considering I've had many good experiences with Discount Tire in the past and thought this was a company I could trust. They got the work done fast, and the price was better than the competitor, so I can give two stars for that. This place is great! I'm glad I came here! I just stopped by Discount Tire this afternoon to see if the nail in my tire could be patched. Lucky for me it was! Depending on where the nail is in your tire it can be patched up. If it's in the shoulder (sides) usually it can't be. I uploaded a picture so you can see. Anyway, you're able to make an appointment with these guys online, but the next available wasn't until three hours later. Their website says that walk-ins are also welcomed, so I took a chance and went without an appointment. I guess I came at the right time since there was no one in front of me. Two customers came in after though. Anyway, Joe walked out of the store to greet me as I was leaving my car. He looked at the tire and told me it was repairable. And Jon N's quick tip was correct. They do tire patches for free regardless of where you bought your tire from! That's super nice of these guys! Joe told me that the car would be ready in about 15 to 20 mins. During that time, I got to check out the waiting area and watch the guys working on my car. They have free water bottles and coffee for you to drink while you wait. Also there are magazines for you to read. There's even a little basketball hoop for you to play at while you're there. Anyway, when I went over to watch Tyler and two other guys work on my car, they REALLY worked on my car! Not only did they just patch the one tire but they also added air to all my other tires, made sure all the nuts were tight, and added a quick shine to the tires. These guys really went above and beyond. Also if I were to get tires replaced here, I'd have no problem doing so. Yesterday I was comparing tire costs in the area. I looked at Discount Tire, Tire Discounters, Jamie's Tire & Service, and Firestone. Between these four, every tire at Discount Tire was cheaper than Tire Discounters. It was also cheaper than Jamie's Tire. I also considered Firestone, only because I was looking for a specific tire, and Discount Tire didn't have it. But I would totally recommend Discount Tire. They'll even match competitor prices. Not that they aren't already giving us the best price! read more

SCAM Alart!! I will never suggest anyone to take car to them. Specially the Beavercreek store. I took my car because one tire was not holding air. They said it's unrepirable. Since my other tires were old, I ended up buying all four tires. As they says with the package it comes with free rotation and balancing. After few months when I take back my car and they said I have to change my lug nut which will cost me another $70 or because they aren't able to remove it. I took my car to Midas and rotate my tire with oil change. !! The lug nuts are still fine there & I rotated my tire two times after this happened. read more

This place is awesome! I took my van here today to get a tire looked at for possibly a puncture that was causing a slow leak. When I came back to get my van they told me that it was just because of a bad seal most likely from a poor installation from the previous tire place. They took care of it and when I went to try and pay for this they told me it was taken care of for free!! Needless to say this will be where I get my next set of tires. This is the way customer service looks. Not that I was looking for a free service, and it most likely was only about 15 mins of time...however it was a great gesture and I will recommend them 100 times over. read more

Worst tire replacement experience ever! In late Aug'21, I had this shop replace all four tires on my 2018 Chevy Colorado. Wasn't until the following month that I was able to take my truck out on the highway. But once I did get out on the interstate, the road noise coming from the new tires was extremely loud at those higher speeds. Shortly thereafter, I returned to Discount Tire and requested they examine the tires because I knew something had to be wrong with them since the loud noise on the interstate wasn't present when the old tires were on my truck, and the only thing that had changed was the new tire install. After briefly looking at my truck, the store manager came to me, and said the tires were fine, but he believed I had a bad wheel bearing on the front driver side of truck. When I explained that I didn't believe that was the true root cause because I'd never heard this kind of noise while driving my truck in the past, he confidently countered with some story that he was able to rotate that wheel when the truck was up on the rack, and that was a tell-tale sign of a bad bearing. But he said they didn't do wheel bearing work there at Discount Tire, and therefore I'd have to take my truck somewhere else to have the bearing replaced. So I took the truck to the local Chevy dealership shortly after, and had them replace that driver side front wheel bearing, costing me $486, which was actually cheaper than another shop's quoted price. Unfortunately, that didn't fix the road noise problem, and I ended up back at the dealership, where for another $140 diagnostic fee, they diagnosed the problem as a bad tire they determined to have a high Road Force measurement (33). For those unfamiliar, anything over 20 is bad and will provide a sub-optimal ride!!! They even moved the tire from the front to the back of the vehicle, which shifted the noise from the front of the truck to the rear.... confirming the bad tire. Took the truck back to Discount Tire with my evidence showing all the noise coming from a bad tire, and requested a new tire as well as reimbursement for the wild goose chase of replacing the wheel bearing. Dealt with store manager Joe, once again, and although he agreed to replace the tire, he outright lied/denied that he'd previously blamed the wheel bearing as being the culprit.... and therefore was not going to reimburse me the $626 I spent on the wild goose chase. I find this outrageous since it was his shop that sold me the bad tire to begin with; they didn't properly Road Force check tire before installing it and sending me on my way; and then they deceitfully/erroneously blamed the noise problem on something besides the defective merchandise they sold me. As if that wasn't bad enough..... new tire comes in, and I go back to Discount Tire to have it installed. Immediately take truck out for a ride on the highway, and am now hearing road noise from the new tire even more pronounced than the first defective tire. Go back to Discount Tire, and report problem. On inspection, one of their mechanics finds that this tire too was defective. So they order me another tire, but this one gets delayed in shipment and doesn't arrive for a week and a half. New tire finally comes in, and I go back to Discount Tire for the umpteenth time. Now knowing what I know about tires, however, this time I ask to witness the Road Force test of the new tire before it's installed on my truck. This one measures well below the ideal limit of 15. And after all of this, the road noise created by this new set of Goodyear Wrangler tires is considerably higher than the original set that came with the truck when I bought it from the dealership. Used to think Goodyear made a high quality product. Now I'm not so sure. Bottom line: you may want to steer clear of Goodyear tires for the time being (possibly a mfg issue related to COVID... who knows?), but you should most definitely steer clear of this Discount Tire shop on Colonel Glenn Highway in Beavercreek, OH. read more

They don't try to nickel and dime you, and almost always finish before their estimated time. First off, I really wanted to give this 5 stars however 1 employee kept me from doing so. Let me explain. I am from the west coast and have ALWAYS done my tire business with Discount Tire therefor I know and appreciate the great customer service they have always offered me. Being that I am a female there comes a lot of issues when dealing with more "manly" tasks i.e thinking I can be taken advantage of because of my assumed lack of knowledge in cars etc. Well news flash! I've owned 16 cars in my 14 years of driving and to say I know cars and their parts well is an understatement. I've purchased many tires of all performances and thoroughly understand the process. When I pulled up to this location Ian greeted me before I even made way into the store (5 stars) he listened to what I was saying and gave me several options to choose from depending on MY budget and MY choice. (5 stars) I was beyond satisfied with what he presented me and made my appointment for the following morning to change my front 2 tires and change my rear 2 tires 2 weeks later. I walked out a happy customer. (5 stars) When I arrived the following morning to get the front 2 tires a different gentleman approached me again as I was getting out of the car to ask what he could do for me today. I explained I had an appointment with Ian and he insisted he look at my tires. I didn't decline. After his quick inspection of my tires he completely disregarded the fact that I already had an appointment and all of my service needs had been discussed and agreed upon with his co-worker Ian. He proceeded to tell me that I NEED to change my rear 2 tires that day, that they could not wait. I very firmly explained that I am aware they need to be changed and I have it scheduled following the front 2. He insisted I not wait for another appointment and began his "I'm going to take advantage of this situation because she's an uneducated female" speech. I listened momentarily then started to walk inside where he then told me that if I didn't have the money I could get their credit card that they offer. NO! I explained AGAIN I am here for the front 2 and I will have the rear 2 changed in 2 weeks just please do what I am here for. Finally he gave up with trying to take advantage of me and my 2 tires were replaced as planned. The gentleman who checked me out as well as everyone else in the store was extremely nice to me. (5 stars) Unfortunately, I did not get the name of the rude, pushy salesman man who tried extremely hard to ruin my experience. I left the store beyond satisfied with the services I received (5 stars) however I could have done without the 1 bad apple in the bunch. This place has generally been the only place I'll go to get alignments or tire related services, and the only place I will tell my friends to go, but my experience today has made it so I may think twice next time. I went in to get a re-alignment and a couple of tires swapped out for new ones I had purchased online. I dropped it off at 145 and told the manager on duty that I'd leave it and come back after work to pick it up. I was initially given an estimate that included the charge for the alignment, but when I told him I paid for a 1 year alignment, he immediately crumpled it up and printed out a new one with the charge removed. I know he looked up the record of my vehicle, so I'm not sure why he wouldn't have already known I already paid for the alignment. When I came back after work, I arrived at 430 and my vehicle hadn't even been touched yet. That's fine, I figure they must have been busy today, so I sit in the waiting area and wait. After 40 minutes had passed, another customer came in and was explaining what was wrong with his vehicle, and that he'd be waiting for it to be finished. The manager took his info and his keys, and then immediately went out and brought the newly arrived vehicle in to start working on it. I asked for my keys back because I have things I need to do, that's why I gave 3.5 hours to do an alignment and rotate some tires. The managers response was that "things just kept coming up today" and made it seem he thought I was being unreasonable for not wanting to continue to wait. I understand this is an isolated incident, and may not reflect the customer service one would generally receive from this location, and honestly it hasn't been a reflection of any of the service I've gotten in the past decade that I've been going there. Although they broke a lug on my car this last time around, they recovered after what was a NIGHTMARE at Midas. If these guys strip or break a lug (which does happen), DO NOT let them send you to Midas on Airway, which is their contracted repair support. Midas screwed up the hub, lug they were expected to fix, lost a rotor set screw and damaged the other beyond repair, and somehow messed up the rotor. Went back 5 times, which I agree is way too many, to let them continue in their attempts to fix it. All the while they kept telling me it was the brake hardware. Why would I give Discount Tire a 5-star rating? Because after I called to let them know what had occurred, the gentlemen could not believe I had that much patience. They allowed me to take it to the dealer to get it fixed which included the full hub, brake pads, and turning the rotor. They reimbursed me in full to get my car back to square one and I appreciate that they didn't nickel/dime me during the process. read more

Bought 4 new Michelin 80,000 mile tires for my Cadillac. After their first attempt to balance them was unsuccessful, I have been back 3 more times, still unsuccessful. The most recent time they told me that their "machine" had been "out of calibration", and that's why the tires weren't balanced. What good is a "lifetime balance" if they can't even balance the tires the first time. I will now go to a pro I trust, Acme Spring in downtown Dayton. read more

I have been buying my tires from Discount Tire for all my vehicles for the past 10 years, and have no plan to go anywhere else, and here is why. I purchased new tires for my 2007 Tundra in November 2017 in Austin Texas while visiting family for Thanksgiving. It wasn't until February when I noticed a shimmy in my steering wheel. I took the truck to Discount tire in Beavercreek, Oh where we live thinking the tires needed rotating or balancing. They ended up finding a crack perpendicular to the tread on the inside of two tires!!!!! They not only said this is a safety issue, but because I purchased the warranty for my tires for about $150, they replaced all four Michelin ATLs with BFG All-Terrains the same day!!!!!! The difference was about $2 a tire and a new $150 warranty for four brand new tires!! Scott, Paige and team went above and beyond to make this situation right with minimal cost to me! I could not be happier with my new tires or the way the team handled the issue. Kudos to Paige for taking the initiative and have the ability to make a decision and get the job done.
