I went to this Store and was very disappointed regarding services. I needed Strings and Adjustment…read moreon my 5 string Fender Jazz Bass. It took them over a month to get the strings. In addition the adjustment of the bass was done poorly. When you asked the Manager regarding time frame he doesn't have a clue. They were not communicating with me until I scold the manager that the least the can do is communicate with customers as to the status of your equipment. They broke the case of my bass and they did replace it a month later. I paid money for my bass to be adjusted and new strings. got the strings but the adjustment was not done properly. The strings are hitting the frets. Terrible Terrible I also Left them my Ampeg SV7 Pro to be repair. They do not have any reliable technician who is responsible to do the work. They take your equipment and it seats on the floor for weeks before the technician looks at it and then the technician does not even looks at the amp. I place a tape on the side of the amp where if the Tech opened the amp to diagnose it would brake. The tape was intact no breakage. That means the tech did not open to diagnose. I know this is a long review but going to this store is a waist of time and money. The manager doesn't have a clue as to when you order a product when it will be in the store. It's very simple when you order product get a tracking number and you will know when it will arrive. Or have an idea. I would not recommend this store they lost my business and I will have this information posted on my webpage and internet radio station Tropicjazz.net

I travel for work and was not able to call and cancel my Saturday afternoon appointment. I was charged for the appointment because i didn't call to cancel. I was told that I am being charged because the instructor was there for the appointment. Despite the instructor working behind the counter and repairing instruments for the business. It was made out to sound that the instructor was specifically there for me. There were a few occasions when customers showed up for lessons and the instructor was not present however the customers didn't get a free lesson or a reimbursement for their time. I also requested to take lessons every other week rather than every week in order to have more time to practice. My request was denied. I was told the instructors schedule only allows for weekly schedules they do not offer bi weekly scheduling. I chose to go somewhere else. Wish they were more willing to work with me and my schedule.

Calling Amanda Pogach for piano lessons was one of my best recent decisions. As a middle-aged man…read morewith no prior musical training and uncertain talent, I was hesitant. I wanted to be able to play fun tunes on the keyboard for friends at parties and in particular I wanted to be able to play a jazzy version of Happy Birthday for my wife's upcoming birthday. I took the plunge and am glad I did. After a year and half of lessons, I can read music and play at least two dozen short, popular tunes, some of them beyond beginner level. More important, I am now able to pick up music that interests me and easily get started on learning to play it... and, these days, when I listen to music, I can relate to it in a more insightful way than I ever have before. Lessons with Amanda are well-structured, rigorous and fun. We initially spent several sessions on reading music and on foundational topics like rhythm, pitch, intervals, scales and chords. I was a bit impatient at the time, but I understand now how Amanda brought it all together to give me a solid base from which to learn more advanced topics and tunes. Amanda is good with technology. After our first several sessions in her studio, our lessons have mostly been by Skype. Whether she is away on holiday or at her studio, and whether I am at home or traveling to other cities on projects, a portable keyboard, inexpensive webcam, laptop and internet connectivity are enough for lessons to take place seamlessly. I have found learning this way to be very effective. I can see and hear Amanda. She can hear me play, and in particular, can see my fingers on the keyboard. When I need to see her keyboard fingering technique, she simply points her camera to her hands. Amanda's musical education and her practical experience as a professional soprano make her a qualified (and fun) teacher. I am happy with my lessons and am glad to be learning from her. I recommend Amanda Pogach wholeheartedly, I wish you good luck as you begin your own musical journey.

One and a half years ago I called Amanda with no musical experience (other than some singing in the…read moreshower) and a desire to learn more about my own voice. When I met with Amanda, she was very open and made me feel at ease about my relative lack of singing knowledge. We started working on the very basics of singing and have been progressing to increasingly difficult skills over time. She has been quite lovely about helping me to grow at my own pace--encouraging me when I needed it and pushing me when she saw that I could go further. Along the way, I decided that I would try my hand at auditioning for bands in the tri state area. After 3 months of lessons, I auditioned and booked my first job as a singer! Since that time, I've continued to grow in my ability to sing freely with greater range, improved tone, and an increasing amount of confidence. Vocal lessons with Amanda are both fun and focused. Because I was a beginner, my first several sessions began with learning about posture, breath support, and some simple vocal exercises. Since that time, the vocal exercises have gotten progressively more challenging and are focused on the areas of my singing that could use strengthening or expanding. Although we work quite hard, we also laugh quite a bit which makes it easy to keep coming back! I've really enjoyed the structure of each individual lesson as well. Lessons start with vocal exercises/instruction and then move to singing any song that you choose. It's a wonderful way to get a vocal foundation while also getting to practice the things that you are learning with songs that you love! Lessons with Amanda are also quite accessible. I've been able to get appointment times that allow me to accommodate the other parts of my life, and I've also been able to do lessons via Skype. As I intermittently travel for work, this has been especially helpful! If you're looking for voice lessons from a caring, competent teacher who can help you grow by leaps and bounds, then I would definitely recommend contacting Amanda. You won't regret it! :-)
