At that case the girl told me one price then didn't add things up correctly. Apparently it was my fault for not adding things in the way they would have. They try to one over you. The chain based off their word was 60% off. The store did an additional 10% that day for the sale. I'm mad at being told one thing from the employee near the case and then when actually rang up and my card run it's $45 more. Can you not honor your quoted price? A mistake on your part shouldn't be one made on mine.

The man I talked to seemed friendly and took his time talking with me. So many associates rush customers this time of year. He did fix one problem I had for free; I had inserted the battery incorrectly. He showed me the proper way. He also looked at another watch I had, and pointed out there was a small plastic piece missing. He demonstrated what the piece did and why it was so important. He told me he couldn't fix that one unless I brought the piece in. I had two other watches (yes 4 total) that just needed batteries changed. I don't know if the batteries were more expensive, or their prices are higher because of their staffing & classy booth. I was quoted $18 per watch, but given the assurance they would be ready quickly. I told him I really appreciated his help and educational tips, but that I would be looking elsewhere to have the batteries changed. He was fine with that, not at all snotty or rude. So he basically flipped a battery for free, pointed out a missing thing on another watch, and gave me estimates for the other two. It is exceptional to get this level of service before committing to a purchase. They seemed very professional. This man was obviously an expert. I would return to at least get estimates on repairs before I went elsewhere. Their counters were clean and well-lit.

Since it was already around 5 PM and I had to leave for work, I was told to come back Tuesday, since they would be closed Sunday and Monday, and it would be ready for pickup. When I returned Tuesday, the necklace was not ready. More disappointing was the attitude of the employee working. Instead of explaining the delay, she responded very dismissively with, "But did I call you? No. So it's not ready," and acted as though I shouldn't have expected it to be ready without receiving a call. I was following the instructions I was given on Saturday. I completely understand that delays happen, but there was no reason to speak to me so rudely or make me feel like I had done something wrong by returning when I was told to. At this point, I'm also uncomfortable that my necklace is still in their possession given how poorly this was handled. Very disappointing customer service experience and I hope management addresses communication between employees and how customers are spoken to.

AWFUL, AWFUL customer service for Zales.com…read more Zales Merchandise might be fine and their in store associates friendly as well but beware if you purchase something through their website. I don't know if it their IT system, policy or the fact that I paid through Paypal but I am currently in the midst of a two week Ordeal of trying to get a refund. I placed on-line order on the evening of Dec 16th and an hour later called their 800 number to cancel. I was told by the representative that would be no problem. Two days later I got an email that the Item had shipped and my card was billed. First off it has been my experience that most other companies for in store shipment pickup nothing is billed until the customer picks up the merchandise. I immediately called the 800 number again an explained the situation and was told since it was shipped they could not credit my account. I would have to go to the store to pick it up and then the store could issue a refund as return. I then drove the store when the merchandise arrived. The Sales associate brought the merchandise out but said the invoice said no refund and system would not let her. She then was nice enough to call Zales.com and after awhile it turned out since I paid with Paypal they could not issue a refund. I was instructed to take possession of the merchandise and then send it back to them. So again I was given Misinformation from the Zales.com and wasted an hour during Christmas shopping with no refund. As of Today Jan 5th no refund nor had the store even sent the merchandise back to their fulfillment center. Not even could a Zales.com supervisor issue me a refund as that must be done by the fulfillment center when they get the merchandise for which I never took possession. While the supervisor said she will call the local Zales to make sure it was shipped tomorrow and call me back to confirm, this whole experience has left me with a bad taste for the way this company handles customer issues.
