Why Settle for the rest When You Can have The BEST! This is true! First, thank you John. Right up front, he fixed our spa jets that have not worked since our pool was redone (a few years ago) by simply putting on a missing piece that was never put on, yet NO ONE ever knew that! My husband had his first Jacuzzi with actual jets in 3-4 years! My husband was Sold right there and cost us $0! We have struggled with finding the right pool services for a few years since we redid our pool and switched to salt water. Our service from years past didn't service our area any more, but were great too (Ryan's pool service in NP). We have gone through several services lately, each, messing things up, and really not being knowledgeable on our system and set up, although ALL of them said they did and how experienced they were. First, I put out messages early in the morning the other day and John replied first, then made it to our house within less than an hour! After working him over a bit with our concerns and challenges, he was gaining our confidence, but proof was yet to be determined as others have failed before him. He actually really knew our system, and made some determinations we liked. Next was proof.....we needed a filter clean. I watched. The prior guy had ruined two of our filter screens by putting the retainer on wrong damaging screens, not putting this other aerator thing in correct and placing the screw ontop of the retainer upside down and without the washers thereby denting the retainer (found them on the ground where water had gone from prior cleans and backwashes). John check the salt, which I know was high, because the "other guy" kept adding salt as they could get the chlorine up to par and before that the tech didn't even know we had a salt pool! Conditioner was gone even though I had recently spend $65 on it and no one was checking this all out or why. Bottom line........John worked into his day getting our filter cleaned, new screens replaced, jets fixed, conditioner added, equipment understood, and by yesterday, the pool was sparkling again. This morning, unexpectedly, John stopped by, "just to check the conditioner and chemicals to see if holding since it was going to be hot days ahead" as we are resetting this pool! Price- offered a couple options and one was a fixed price that include everything we need all year, so no nickle and diming. Seemed fair and practical and puts the burden back on service to keep things in order. Like that! I do see he has some specials available on his site that we didn't take advantage of, but we know we just got a good service and good, honest guy. We will keep you posted as time always tells more...we have a good feeling though that his next review will be just as good! read more

I received a call (on a Friday afternoon) from one of my tenants that they had tried to heat the pool/spa and it wasn't working and they had a big BBQ pool party planned for the beginning of the week, with out of town relatives flying in. I immediately jumped on Yelp and began the search. I called more than six companies (even used homeadvisor's service that lead to a company's voicemail.) Five never answered and one had absolutely no availability until the next week. The next name on my list: Best Pool Maintenance. I dialed the number and John answered immediately. So, if you want a short review then I will tell you that John is amazing and his pool service is great. If you want to hear my "chicken soup" story, Then read on. We moved here after being displaced for 3 weeks. My kids were hot, tired, and frustrated and the previous owners hadn't kept the pool clean so my kids had to just stare at it. I immediately picked up the phone and started calling pool maintenance companies listed on yelp. Everyone told me... 2 weeks. I was like... I need help now. So, I called Best Pool Maintenance and John answered the phone. I told him my sad story and he said, "I will be there in 45 minutes." I couldn't believe it! He showed up, the owner mind you, and spent 2 hours cleaning my pool and testing and adjusting the chemicals in the pool until it was perfect. We asked... So how long until we can swim then, and he said a couple hours. My kids were swimming that day and I was crying tears of joy. Needless to say, John is my pool guy to this day. We recently put our home on the market, and we needed some help getting the in-ground spa refreshed and ready for its prospective new owners. I can deal with the water chemistry, but owner John Sanders and his partner/wife Sherry came to the rescue to address some lingering issues with the filter. I called them yesterday, and John came out this morning. Through discussion with me and examination of the setup, he quickly assessed the situation and laid out a potential course of action with associated costs. I signed off on the plan, and off he went to round up the parts. Within a few hours, and with new parts installed (two filter grids, a top manifold, a new pressure gauge and a couple of O-rings), he recharged the system with some DE. After circulating a few hours, the water is once again clean and sparkling. Many thanks for the prompt, professional service call. Going back a few years. We had a pool pump fail. I contacted Best Pool Maintenance and spoke with John Sanders. He came by and we talked. Yes the pool pump was an old single speed unit that started making a grinding noise before seizing up. John recommended a multi-speed pump. He said they are more expensive but should pay for itself in a year or two in energy savings. He was correct it paid for itself in the course of less that a year! Fast forward to this spring we had John's team overhaul our pool. New tile and pebble tech finish. New gas heater with automatic spa valves and an inside the house control panel. The pool looks fantastic and functions great! Highly recommend them. I have had many 'pool guys' over the years and John's team is excellent. John is amazing. Today we needed to have someone come look at an in ground spa we have in a house we recently purchased. I gave John and call and left a voice mail. Within five minutes I received a call back from him. We were on our way to lunch and wanted to meet at 2PM on a Saturday might I add. He came promptly and was a wealth of knowledge. He informed us that the spa we have was quite old and that it would cost the same if not more money to repair it, than just buying a new one. I love this from a repair man. They have also recommended other people to do pool repairs, etc., that they do not do, and these companies have also been excellent.
