Blake saved the day! Where do I begin with our story. Our jacuzzi had a slow leak over the last 6 months so we hired a licensed contractor to come in and address the leak. In the process of addressing the leak we completely remodeled the entire pool/jacuzzi...plaster, coping, waterline tile, new valves, new jets, everything. After paying for it all, the first day we filled it with water, it was still leaking. We were gutted. Our contractor came out and with the plaster company and redid all of the jacuzzi jets, thinking that was the issue, but it was still leaking. We imagined we would have to tear apart all of the work we had just done and I just felt so sick about it. We contacted so many companies that didn't even want to touch our situation. Updated: Our longtime pool cleaner alerted us that our pool was losing water at an alarming rate. Aquaman's site promises to find the leak or your money back. They charged $900, couldn't find the leak and instead defaced our pool with epoxy patches on the spa. We're still unclear how a patch between the spa and the pool was supposed to keep the pool from losing water. We asked for our money back without success. Upon looking at the equipment he immediately stated that it was probably a problem with the old copper piping, He went into the pool to check for leaks and patched a small hairline crack in the skimmer box and noted a little area on the tile. I had a pool leak where I lost between 0.5-0.75 inch per day. Unfortunately, I used a competitor first and they not only did not find the leak but stated I didn't have a leak (irritating). Called Aquaman and they came out quickly, evaluated my pump system, etc then hopped in the pool for a very detailed and close up review. I learned three things from Aquaman: 1. My leak was around the Polaris connector (added to the pool 20 plus years ago) and was promptly and professionally sealed. 2. We have a fairy large structural crack in the deep end which is not leaking at this point. 3. The deep end inlet has deteriorated/crumbed to the point that if I ever find a leak in my 55 year old 1.5 inch copper line, it will be difficult to plug as the inlet is no longer round. Aquaman's rate is now $600 but they are well worth it as they actually performed a professional, quality inspection, found the leak, patched the leak and the pool is now sealed up tight and good to go for another 55 years! read more

Blake was very professional and located the leak in my swimming pool. He was also able to patch the leak and so far it is very effective. My pool had been leaking for many years due to a crack near the skimmer and on the side of the pool. He explained that the repair, may only last a short time and I might need more work done. Aquaman Leak Detection is simply amazing! Look no further if you have a leak! I had another major leak detection company out to my home twice and they were unable to locate the leak. If I wanted them to continue I would have to pay $180.00 per hour. I did some research on the internet and found that most leak detection companies would get into your pool to check the drains, lights and returns along with looking for structural cracks. The first company didn't get in my pool. I found a video posted by Aquaman and read the reviews they received and decided to give them a try. Best decision I have made in any of my home repair jobs. If your anything like me it seems when somebody comes out the price always increases from the initial estimate. Not with Aquaman. Kenton is truly one of the nicest service providers that I had at my home. It truly appeared that he was on a treasure hunt as he was determined to find the leak. After jumping in the pool and carefully checking everything imaginable he found a crack on the wall where the water comes from the Jacuzzi to the pool and he fixed it. At that time he stated lets see what happens and if our pool is still leaking he would come out. Well it continued to leak and I contacted Aquaman and they came out again. I AM IN LOVE WITH BLAKE!!!!! Is it his 6'2" cornfed tight-end body you ask? Nope. I like em short and fat. Or maybe his sparkling blue eyes? Nope. I prefer eyes to be a bit jaundice-y myself. Or possibly his long curly blonde hair? Nope. I go for the bald or balding types. So why on earth, you ask, would I be in love with this Adonis from Aquaman Leak Detection? Because he not only FOUND the leaks in my pool, but successfully PLUGGED them as well!!! Y'all just dont know!!! I have an above ground vinyl liner pool and for months and months, it's been leaking. I was losing almost an inch a day and that's absolutely CRAZY in this Cali drought. I assumed it was the plumbing (and it partially was). But after that had finally been fixed, the leaks continued, which meant it was something else. I HATE losing water, so after a bit of Sherlock work of my own, I was able to determine that the leak was likely from a hole in the liner somewhere. But then the issue boiled down to finding someone who could FIND it! I called EVERYWHERE!!! Even some places that are listed here on Yelp. First of all, not a lot of people do leak detection on pools I discovered. And the SECOND thing I discovered is those that DO, DON'T do leak detection on ABOVE-GROUND VINYL LINED POOLS. (I dont get why). Anyway, after pulling my hair out for MONTHS, enter the blonde Adonis BLAKE!!! ALD actually told me they dont do the above-ground pools either, but if I were game they would be willing to try. OF COURSE I'm game! I had no other option than to drain the pool (not an option since it's 15ft by 30ft of water) and replace the liner! So here comes Blake in his spaceman outfit to go where no man has gone before... the bottom of my pool. Let me start off by saying these guys are simply great. Our older pool was leaking and had been after a leak was diagnosed and "fixed" by another company a year earlier. Needless to say the other company didn't find all the leaks. I reached out to Aquaman Leak Detection and they promptly responded. We set up a time and Kenton arrived on time ready to go right to work. Close to three hours later (if not longer) he finished performing what can only be described as astonishingly detailed and thorough leak detective work. After pressure testing the equipment/pipes/returns/etc., putting on a wet suit and gear and surveying every inch of our pool and hot tub, he spotted more than one leak. Flash forward a couple days--since we are familiar with the stuff, we used pool epoxy all by ourselves to fix the problem areas he diagnosed (it really works) in the meantime, because we planned on doing a full chip out/resurfacing/makeover of our pool and backyard in the near future. Kenton's kind and friendly demeanor, honesty and thorough explanations and suggestions couldn't have been better. As far as the cost, you actually get what you pay for in my opinion. Oh! And Kenton left us a sheet with a sketch of our pool and problem areas. We were and still are thoroughly impressed. This business has truly earned its 5-star reviews. My tenants reported the water in the swimming pool was decreasing at a rapid pace, but stopping at a certain point. Initially, I didn't want to call a leak detection company because I thought it would be too expensive. So, I called my trusted plumber. Everyone agreed that the water level seemed to stop at the pool filter level. We made our best guess as to where the leak probably was and were about to break the concrete to replace pipes... and it just didn't feel right. I decided to shell out the money and call Aquaman, largely based on both the reviews and the fact that many leak detection places don't work on swimming pools. Henry came out an spent about 90 minutes meticulously going over every inch of the pool. He found a leak in the pool filter loop system, but on the opposite side of where we had suspected it. He circled the area in chalk and when my plumber came out to fix it, he was amazed at the accuracy! We were all pretty happy... until the next day when my tenant said the water levels were back down. Henry (who is super nice in addition to being extremely professional) came back out and inspected the pool for another 2 hours and made his best guess about where the problem could be and fixed it. (In hindsight, the mistake we all made was not filling the pool all the way up to give Henry a chance to actually find the leak.) The next day, I got another message from my tenant saying the water levels had dropped. We were all stumped. Aquaman agreed to send Henry out again. This time, Henry asked us to fill the pool (which had been something that was on my mind already). Henry wasn't his jovial self initially and I felt bad that he had to come out again because I knew how hard he had worked to find the leak before. In less than 5 minutes, he jumped up and said, "I found it! I found the leak!" with an ear-to-ear grin. He fixed it in 10 minutes and we haven't had any more issues. I wasn't happy with the service I received. The company didn't perform a pressure test even though I had specifically asked for and paid for one when I hired them. The technician who came simply pointed out some rather obvious areas for patching. I asked again for a pressure test and they refused to do one, saying it probably wasn't necessary. By the time I got the patching done, got through the rainy season and determined that the pool was still leaking and - as I had told them in the first place, a pressure test was needed - they again refused to do it - now because I was past the warranty period. Admittedly, 9 months had gone by. But in my opinion, it was their refusal all along to do the pressure test that put me in this position. I originally made an appointment with someone else. For some reason, I wasn't feeling that fuzzy feeling after making the appointment so I called Aquaman. Not the cheapest but knew how to look for my leaks. Turned out that it wasn't a plumbing leak at all, There was a crack below the skimmer that was just draining the water out of my pool about 1/2 inch per day.
