A beautifully decorated home that includes a pool, a movie room, shelves of DVDs and books, billiards and more games. You can choose which room to stay in and my husband and I chose the "Steampunk Room." The room was located in a tower apart from the house. It was so cool! The next morning we had a homemade breakfast and it was AMAZING! Our hosts made us feel right at home and were so kind. I called that number for 5 hours before I got a answer. There was men locked out of rooms for hours and no one to be found and no one to answer our calls. This place looks VERY old something in a scary movie. when I finally talked to the lady she wanted to inform me that if I knew how to read the door clearly said to go to side door that the front door was locked, and had I done that she LEFT the room key on the front counter!!! SERIOUSLY you just leave random room keys with the name on the laying around for anyone to pick up!!!! Yes I seen that the sign said that but first of all I was toooo scared to walk around much less be out of my car trying to get in the lobby. 2nd normally the side doors you have to have a key to enter. If you aren't ready to meet Jesus I dont advice anyone to stay here Random crack heads have the master keys they come out of random rooms when you finally get in touch with the MANAGER she has someone just unlock doors no one knows how to make a key they can just unlock the door with the master key. I seriously didn't feel safe the minute I drove up. Long story short when my husband got off work we left. please get on 10 go back towards Lousiana 10 miles and there is a VERY VERY nice best western casino hotel there and its 65 dollars cheaper a week. I will do anything in my power to get this place shut down its not safe for any human.

You have to drive between these two to find the hotel. The hotel is very clean, fenced around, beautifully landscaped, and well maintained. The staff are great. The hallways have a wild casino themed carpet and there is the casino a few feet away from the lobby through a breezeway, but you don't have to go there if you don't want to. My room smelled a bit strong of "air freshener" when I arrived, but other than that was spotless, very comfortable, and pleasantly decorated. It was equipped with a mini-fridge, microwave, big screen TV, a very comfortable bed, big bathroom with rain shower, nice towels. There was a pool that looked nice. Ice machine was at the end of the second floor, and there was a washing machine and dryer available. Like I said, there are various eateries right outside with a variety of food: Subway, Hunt Brothers Pizza, fried chicken, and more, a sports bar, and the casino. The hotel lobby is nice and the morning personnel are friendly. The check in clerk was more businesslike, but he was efficient. They require a refundable deposit for any damages. No smoking. The water pressure in the shower was prefect and there was plenty of very hot water. Towels and sheets were fluffy and soft and I slept great on the comfy mattress. Another huge plus, especially if you visit Orange in the summer, is the upstairs was nicely cooled; I never felt warm inside for a second. There is wifi, but I only really used it to download a new book to my Kindle. There's also a TV in the room with Direct TV, but I never turned it on, instead preferring the serenity of this quiet, historical neighborhood to cast the perfect reading environment. I'm a light eater, so Gina, the innkeeper, provided me with fresh fruit salad each morning with toast or bagels. Parking is off-street and around back, so you never have to worry about your car. The is an expansive backyard with huge old trees. I preferred the front porch to watch for the occasional passing freight train which runs down the block. (There is a quiet zone in Orange now, so there is virtually no noise from the passing freights.)

Plus the hotel room walls are so thin that I could even hear the neighbor cough, laugh, every word of their conversation & even when they used the bathroom which was annoying! This was all night long! I won't be sleeping here again if it's my choice!
