My friends and I were going to a bridal shower in Beaumont and were looking for a hotel nearby. Book Nook Inn had the best reviews and seemed like it would be a fun experience to stay in a B&B. We all booked rooms and the reviews did not lie! What a unique and amazing place this is! A beautifully decorated home that includes a pool, a movie room, shelves of DVDs and books, billiards and more games. You can choose which room to stay in and my husband and I chose the "Steampunk Room." The room was located in a tower apart from the house. It was so cool! The next morning we had a homemade breakfast and it was AMAZING! Our hosts made us feel right at home and were so kind. Carole & I stayed at the Book Nook Inn in Lumberton 9 mi north of Beaumont for our fifth anniversary last week. It was phenomenal. The place just goes on and on. Inside the giant living room is a 2 and 1/2 story wood ceiling and it reminds me of the inside of a mountain lodge. We stayed in a separate three-story building on the top floor in the Steampunk Room. It was so cool. There were all these Steampunk relics and other period pieces. They have five rooms and every one has a different theme. There's a really nice pool, plenty of decks and a small lake. It also serves as a great wedding venue for a small to medium size wedding. Stacie and Dave are the warmest, friendliest most accommodating hosts. The breakfast is so delicious. It's surrounded by trees and we really felt close to nature. It's only 9 mi north of Baytown. If you want to get it away from it all, be in nature and be pampered, this is a place to go. The price is very reasonable. read more

Booked this a day before our travel from Orange Beach to Canyon Lake, Stacie was checked in with us for our arrival times. We arrived a bit after we had planned, due to traffic, David was quick to get us checked in and show us around. The main house had AMAZING decorations for the holiday season.. More than you could ever imagine. The main house was mind boggling to me. We got upgraded to the "pool house" and it was so quaint. The bed was comfortable and the bath and shower were great. Breakfast and life stories by David were just what we needed after months of traveling. Thank you! We definitely recommend and will be back when our travels allow. read more

My wife and I stopped here on a trip east from San Antonio. David was friendly on the phone and let us make a last minute reservation. When we arrived, Stacy gave us a tour of the house. The rooms are large and beautifully decorated. The attention to detail continues throughout the house. From the dining room to the spacious patio (with pool, hot tub, and hammock), the game room (with a pool table and a wii), the theater, and the little library everything was well planned. Our room had a spacious private bathroom, with shower and 2-person jacuzzi tub. The room itself was well furnished. A wonderfully soft queen sized bed, flat screen tv, and a desk. A delicious breakfast was served the next morning. Everything was homemade and uniquely prepared. We were the only guests so we were able to enjoy nice conversations with both David and Stacy. My only regret / disappointment with our stay is that it wasn't long enough. read more

While traveling on business, I found this wonderful B&B when all hotels were bustling from Hurricane Harvey survivors and contractors. What a wonderful retreat after a long business day! My room is comfortable, the inn is quiet and peaceful. I was able to catch up on work email and reports in the main living area (very comfortable) while feeling at home. Breakfast is wonderful and the hosts are delightful and very personable. Don't hesitate to give the Book Nook a stay. It would be a lovely place for a getaway, and better than a noisy hotel. read more

I have driven past this Inn before but had no idea what we would discover upon entering... The large home goes on forever and upward! There are 4 themed rooms for rent, with breakfast together or in your room each morning. There is a beautiful pool, a covered hot tub, outside grills, a waterfall leading into a stocked pond for fishing, a gazebo, and beautifully manicured lawns. Inside, you can rent the entire living room, dining room, bar area; or just one room, or the private dining room, or the large banquet hall outside which has a dance floor and prep kitchen. They spared no expense in everything they've created, including the amazing decorations in all areas. Upstairs, they have a billiards room, a reading area, and a movie theater. I chose to have my wedding here outdoors by the pond on the bridge. While everything outside is lit up at night, the bridge wasn't. At their own expense, they painted the bridge and had lights installed to make my dream wedding just that. We stayed in the Steampunk/Tower room, which is amazing. The pool room has a loft, which is also really cool if you have teenagers with you. The yellow room is inside, so you have full access to everything in the big house. The rooms are very affordable, the most expensive being $125 a night. Sitting down with Stacie and planning it all out was so easy, and she offers ideas and gets excited about your special event. I think you could have just about any event there you could think of. It was the best experience I could have ever had, and they made my wedding a dream come true. If anyone is coming to this area for any reason, I would check to see if a room is available here first before ANY hotel. My sister plans on staying here every time she comes! read more

We spent our wedding night at the Book Nook Inn and fell in love with it. Beautiful, cozy place with a billiards room, movie room, pool, and bookshelves around every corner. We enjoyed the yellow room with its antique & vintage touches and the big, beautiful bath with a whirlpool tub and large shower. The hosts are warm and welcoming and the home-cooked breakfast is beyond good. We'll be back on a regular basis! read more

We had a fabulous time at The Book Nook Inn. Stacie and David are wonderful hosts and great conversationalists. She is also a fantastic cook! We stayed in the Yellow Room, which was beautiful. We loved the extra thoughtful amenities, like the snacks and drinks made available at all times. The property was gorgeous, and we were able to fall asleep to the peaceful chorus of frogs. After living in a big city, it was wonderful to get away to such a peaceful and calm atmosphere. There were puzzles, games and movies when the weather got too bad to go out. And the books! Every extra available space had books! As an avid reader, I was in heaven. David is an author as well as a fellow book lover. The family style breakfast with the hosts and other guests was a great experience (and the food was superb!) We will definitely be going back! read more
