The water pressure in the shower was prefect and there was plenty of very hot water. Towels and sheets were fluffy and soft and I slept great on the comfy mattress. Another huge plus, especially if you visit Orange in the summer, is the upstairs was nicely cooled; I never felt warm inside for a second. There is wifi, but I only really used it to download a new book to my Kindle. There's also a TV in the room with Direct TV, but I never turned it on, instead preferring the serenity of this quiet, historical neighborhood to cast the perfect reading environment. I'm a light eater, so Gina, the innkeeper, provided me with fresh fruit salad each morning with toast or bagels. Parking is off-street and around back, so you never have to worry about your car. The is an expansive backyard with huge old trees. I preferred the front porch to watch for the occasional passing freight train which runs down the block. (There is a quiet zone in Orange now, so there is virtually no noise from the passing freights.)

A beautifully decorated home that includes a pool, a movie room, shelves of DVDs and books, billiards and more games. You can choose which room to stay in and my husband and I chose the "Steampunk Room." The room was located in a tower apart from the house. It was so cool! The next morning we had a homemade breakfast and it was AMAZING! Our hosts made us feel right at home and were so kind. I did ask when we departed to speak to a manager and was told none was available and that I could call later. I was disappointed that the room was not as safe as it should have been and not as requested. We are Hilton loyal and have been for years. Otherwise, the location is good and the accomodations were clean and fresh. Please, please, please, just make sure when you confirm and tell someone something that it is correct information.

Ice machine was at the end of the second floor, and there was a washing machine and dryer available. Like I said, there are various eateries right outside with a variety of food: Subway, Hunt Brothers Pizza, fried chicken, and more, a sports bar, and the casino. The hotel lobby is nice and the morning personnel are friendly. The check in clerk was more businesslike, but he was efficient. They require a refundable deposit for any damages. No smoking. When I came back after being gone all day I stopped at the counter for toilet paper and towels so no one would have to come up nor have to go to room on 3rd floor then come back down. I was told I had to go up, get any used towels, bring them back down, wait in line, then I could get new towels. That's is stupid and horrible customer service. I was trying to make it easy but this is insane. You want the dirty towels then send someone up to get them. I did it once. I can't see me staying here again, then I had to put them in a bag given to me. There is a sign in the room to call down for anything you need. I didn't try but do not believe that to be true. Some minor things, the channel list is partly incorrect, the TV sometimes goes pixelated. Really the bed is okay. Breakfast is better then similar places. The employees I and my family spoke to were unhelpful and rude. When my other family members were getting ready for noon check out the cleaning crew hung out around the rooms and even went into my sister's room three times even after being told not to.
