The hotel was reasonable and clean. I didn't have the breakfast so can't comment on that. Check in and out was good. But it was the noisiest hotel I've ever stayed in. There are two floors and we were on the 2nd. There was yelling and jumping and talking and knocking until at least 2 a.m. I don't know where it came from because being on the 2nd floor it wasn't above but I couldn't understand why it was so loud and sounded like someone/children were jumping and the floor seemed to shake. I didn't report it because I was just trying to sleep. Which I finally did despite the noise and it was still going strong. Checked in last night November 4, 2025 during a long road trip. Exhausted and had water in room 174 when went to bed. Exhausted and waited until morning to shower. No water. Couldn't take morning med, flush toilet, shower or anything. Notified front desk and was told to call later to see about some kind of refund. Called and told water softener recycling and no refund. Not even a partial one. Guess health department should be notified also. According to early morning person it happens regularly. Visiting Roswell with the kids. This hotel is definitely older but has all the amenities for a road trip stopover. First, the best thing, the pool is 9ft deep. No small wading pool here. Decent size, and deep! I don't think I've had a hotel pool like that...ever maybe? On to the room. Average size, we also had a roll-away bed so it got cramped more than normal. Two beds, a table and chairs, tv stand/dresser. Good size fridge (twice as big as the last "new" hotel we were at), microwave (other place did t have that either), and tv were what you'd expect. Bathroom / closet area were adequate. Hot water was plentiful and good for a little soak in the tub. Honestly was a good shower with water pressure and hot hot water. Breakfast was standard fare (again, that new place didn't have a breakfast!) but good. Make your own waffle, sausage, potatoes, juice machine, coffee and other assorted stuff. Potato's were a little dull, dunno how to describe, they looked like they were soaked in grease? I liked them, but even I thought they were a little off putting visually. The juice wasn't too watered down like other places. The coffee was only one flavor but was good (I drink it black, no sugar). Have had waaaay worse. Waffles worked out ok but it's always a challenge with those machines. Overall, compared to many other hotels and options we have been to, this place was not the worst, not the best, mostly middle of the pack, even with its age. The pool gave it major points since it's hard to find something you can actually jump into at a hotel! My kids would definitely want that pool again if we went back to Roswell. read more

Very disappointed with this stay. I used a lot of hard-earned points to earn a free stay, but now I wish I had saved them for another location. First, the parking lot needs to be bigger for the size of this property. I had to park on the other end of the lot and lug all my luggage to the second floor. Second, when I finally settled in, the internet connection would not work. I spent over 20 minutes with the IT person to help correct the situation. The drain tub did not drain, the rug was dirty and the picture quality of the television was poor. The breakfast could have been better with few, if any, healthy options to choose from. Next time, I will try the Roswell Inn next door since it is less expensive and has ample parking. read more

The staff was very helpful and friendly. However, the rooms are falling apart. The location of this hotel is awesome. Not to far from museums. The sink was leaking water terribly, we had to put one of the trash cans underneath the pipe. The carpet was ripped and torn on all edges and corners. The tile was nice in the tub, but it looks like it needed some caulking around the edges. Even though staff was friendly, these rooms aren't worth staying in. Two stars for the staff. I wasn't impressed with this motel, but I wouldn't say it was bad. The rooms were clean, which is the most important. The location right of Main Street is nice and close to some of the local museums. What I didn't like is that they are renovating the front desk area and breakfast area. Therefore, when "checking in" you have to check in from outside (there's a window for check-in) and the continental breakfast was served in a tiny room without tables where you had to grab what you wanted and take it back to your room. The first breakfast we had there it got super crowded. When we stayed there on the way back, we kept hearing our neighbors. It seems like the walls are super thin. Don't fill out a survey if you have a negative experience I stayed here on Feb 9, 2019. I have a service dog that I informed the front desk about upon arrival (with proper documentation) and she informed me that I didn't need to pay a pet fee. Great! She asked if I minded having a downstairs room and I told her I didn't have a preference, so that was fine. It was a handicap room in the corner. No problems. I get settled in and around 11 pm, and the staff are cleaning outside of the room where the kitchen area is. Until 1 am people were talking and going in and out of these two staff only rooms making so much noise, I couldn't sleep. The room was clean and nice, the only problem I had with the room was that it's the middle of the winter and the blanket provided isn't any thicker than a sheet. I curled up and went to sleep. I needed to get some homework done before I got on the road and logged into the internet and then about 20 minutes later it stopped working, and I lost my work. Now, that's my fault, because I should have saved it, but after the lack of sleep due to the loud staff, the poor excuse for a blanket and then this, I was frustrated. It was time to check out, and I got my dog in the car and then went to the front and told them that I was very disappointed with my stay. The un-apathetic front desk says "sorry 'bout that" and shrugged it off, and I left. Moving forward, moving on. This morning I get an email from Best Western asking if I would take a survey about my stay, and I thought "sure, why not." So I filled it out. I rated it overall negative, but the check-in girl was great, and the room was mediocre, and everything else fell short of expectations. To be honest, I have low expectations for a 2 star hotel stay. I just stayed at a Super 8 and got locked out of my room for 10 minutes in the snow because as the front desk said "oh yea that door gets stuck a lot" and still, would return happily because the customer service was excellent. Best Western, other than the first person I met when I checked in, was unprofessional. So I filled out a surgery, with no additional information, just answered the scaled questions and press submit. Then the kicker. After I filled out my survey, I got an email from the manager of the Best Western I stayed in say "you didn't tell us you had a dog and we could have charged you $100, but we didn't. You requested a 1st-floor room, and that was the only room we had." I was floored. There wasn't even a "sorry for your negative stay" or anything in the field of customer service. So apparently, if you give a negative review, the management will respond with ill-informed information and not even apologize. The most unprofessional hotel stay. I called the corporate office and they are "forwarding" my information to the hotel management, but I should have never had to deal with this in the first place. So now I'm on yelp because you all need to know, if you don't enjoy your stay, don't tell them, they will attack you and not take any responsibility. read more

It was really amazing experience to stay at this motel. 110% best service they have provided in this pandemic situation. Spacious room - more than enough for two. As an elite member of high level chains, this room came in cheap at $60 a night. Clean and simple everything you need is included. very much surprised, with COVID situation they are serving this for breakfast. I don't even know how to begin. This place is unacceptable. They have nasty carpet. My sheets weren't very clean. There were flying bugs all in the room. The a/c didn't work well. THEY HAVE BED BUGS!!!!! I wouldn't stay here again for anything. I got a complete infestation. I've been treating all of my luggage and clothing since I got back. I called the the day after I left and noticed all of the bites from staying there. They refuse to even listen to my complaint. First time staying in a Best Western and I am impressed. The price was great for the amenities and quality of the room. Carpet is a little dated, but the bathroom has been updated (which is really the sticking point with me when it comes to hotels) and the beds have a more modern feel (aka no gross, floral print from the 80s). Staff was super friendly and breakfast was delicious. The place was fully booked, but we couldn't tell because it was so quiet. I stayed here while passing through Roswell, NM a few weeks ago. I don't agree with the other reviews.. for a budget hotel, the room was clean, spacious and really outdated. I didn't mind it.. and actually plan to stay here next time when I pass back through on my way to Dallas. The breakfast spread was great and the parking was pretty easy. They had an oatmeal bar! This was a very clean comfortable place to stay, I would highly recommend it if you are passing through Roswell and don't need anything too fancy. The bed was comfortable and there were plenty of good pillows (fluffy not flat). The fridge and microwave were nice, too. The only thing I didn't like was that our non-smoking room smelled as if someone had smoked in it. The smell wasn't overwhelming, but I would have preferred no smell. My husband and I are on a 10-day roadtrip so we've been staying at different motels along the way. I want to rate this 3.5 but there's no option for a .5 star here. One star deducted for the cramped bathroom (my husband who's 5' 11" found it hard to move around and kept the door open) and lack of elevators for 2nd floor rooms. I'm 8 months pregnant and found it hard to climb the stairs with our bags. Half a star deducted for lack of parking spaces. I can't imagine when it's completely full. We had to park behind on the streets and it's a Wednesday night. I however would recommend this hotel because it's cheap and in a good location. Walking distance to different eateries including Applebee's just across the road. Also good is that the rooms are very clean and recently updated. Free breakfast for the convenience is always welcomed. And the free wifi is great when it's working. On the night we were there, it was a little dodgy and kept disconnecting for some reason. Would definitely stay here again for the price, cleanliness and convenience. Hopefully the next time, there's adequate parking and a ground floor room for us. read more

This hotel is by far the best in this town, walking distance from multiple food choices. Let me just start off by saying kelly at the front desk is a wonderful person. She was so kind to us and helped us with anything we needed. The rooms are normal size and the price is around 70 walk in online is cheaper if u reserve it online. They give u AAA discounts and have a great breakfast. If ur looking for something cheaper than this the hotels around here are all "cockroaches" give or take 2. This was pretty much my shelter for 3 days in the snow and the entire state of new Mexico is in a state of emergency it's nice to have a nice hotel with friendly people. The rooms are nice, the bathrooms are updated. The breakfast was decent...I would stay here again if I were passing through roswell. The young girl downstairs was very sweet and helpful (considering she was prob scared too because we were all trapped) but each morning there was hot breakfast and she always had a smile on her face. read more

The hotel grounds were well kept and clean. The staff was kind and the room was very clean as well. The shower and sink had high water pressure, which is normally an unusual find for hotel rooms. One issue we did have was that the sink smelt like rotten eggs, but we were told it was because the city's water had a high sulfur content. The room didn't have a single bug in it, with the exception of a fly we accidentally let in. The hotel is located near a few fast food joints and restaurants, as well as a Big Lots and Petco, which was convenient. The only complaint I had is that we were only provided with one wash rag. Me and my partner make it to Roswell around 3:30 am and go to check in and are told Priceline has not sent them the reservation and although we had a conformation number and proof of payment being taken from our account, that it was a third party matter that they could not help us with and could not honor the booking. I'm frustrated at this point, but ok we're just tired and want to sleep so I ask to rent another room so we can just fall asleep. We were then told because my girlfriend had a New Mexico ID, she was a local, and they could not give a room to locals because it was "policy." I ask for her to call her manager which she replies "but he's sleeping." I reply "I don't care, I need my room please wake him." She comes back and says "sorry we can't help you, per the manager." Frustratingly I nicely explained that we were not locals, that she hadn't changed her ID due to the world wide pandemic and Vegas DMVs being booked out for months. I tell her to call her manager again, she returns with the same smirk telling us she can't help us. I AGAIN explained were not locals please give us the room we paid for because we have no where else to go and no more money, which she then again told me that wasn't their problem and that we should have changed the ID..... I can't lie y'all, a girl lost it here. Not appropriate but I became irate at this point yelling and demanding we be given our key so we can just go to bed and to be provided the service we paid for. Yes I'll be honest I yelled and cursed at this point which was not right, but respectfully I paid my fee for a service and now you are telling me that my family and I now have to be put in a potentially dangerous position and sleep in our car somewhere on the side of the road because they literally wouldn't rent us a room for no reason. Sorry but put my family in a dangerous situation and I am no longer patient or calm. After losing my cool, I again ask to show me policy of why were being denied. At this point I'm told that they have a right to refuse service because I was upset and yelling and that if I didn't leave they would call the police on me because I was causing a scene. I told her I'd call them for her because I wasn't leaving I just wanted my room key we paid for. She threatened I needed to leave again and at this point I lost it again and went into full blown rage at the window. Like dude literally just give me a room? Why am I still even standing here? My girlfriend finally gets me to get in the car after this. At this point we're forced to have to drive across the street to beg another hotel to take us in, who initially told us no because they weren't taking any new people that night because she had just done her nightly audit. After many tears, a panic attack, and begging, we were able to be put into a room. For that, thank you so much Baymont by Windom for helping me and my partner have a safe place to sleep. I wake up the next morning and we are now being pushed between Priceline and the Hotel both telling us to call the other person for the refund. Which we are ultimately told to take up with our own bank because they couldn't do anything, lol. At this point I'm literally dumbfounded. I go back to the hotel to ask for a confirmation that the booking has been canceled and we weren't being charged. Tell me why the manager that he been called the night before was there and again tried to kick me out of the hotel! I did not yell, I did not curse, I calmly asked why we had been denied service, for a copy of the policy's that explained why we were, and a print out that we didn't have any charges. He tells me he saw the video of me yelling and didn't need to take it from me (mind you I'm calmly talking) and that I needed to leave. I told him I'm not leaving it was my right to be in the establishment and request the documentation since they took my payment that I still didn't have returned. The manager denied giving me the policy and told me he didn't have to provide it to me. The guy continues to be rude and tells me again I was in the wrong but hands me the paper so I leave explaining it was the worst I've ever been treated and would be reporting him. He tells me "great go ahead." I call Best Western and they are immediately apologetic and are opening an investigation and so is Priceline which I'm grateful for, but can I just be open and say I have NEVER been treated so poorly in my life. Let alone during a world wide pandemic when I'm just asking for a service I paid for and to rest our heads safely. I was just escorted off the premises of this hotel FOR NO REASON. I Had booked a room for the night of 2/28/2023 for my sons birthday & also because my brother had came in from out of town to celebrate my sons birthday . I Get to the front desk and she ask me "how many bed?" i continued to tell her "two beds" for the reason my brother and his partner would be staying the night with me and my children. I Got the room keys and continued to the room and mind we weren't in the room for less than 5 minutes when I noticed there was only one king bed. I called the front desk and told her I needed a room with two beds and she told me "I will have to charge a 10 upgrade fee " I stated "that's fine " than she told me that she couldn't give me another room because they didn't have any housekeepers on duty so she would have to charge me for the current room (which hadn't been touched at all As I had just entered the room. ) I told her I'd pay for a separate room for my brother and his partner no questions asked PLUS the 10 upgrade fee MIND YOU I was already charged $250 deposit and the nightly rate for the room. I proceeded to ask her if I could have my brother go to the front desk to pay for the room with my credit card when before I could finish was hung up on. My brother than went to the front desk and when he returned he told me the gentleman (who was the MANAGER ON duty ) had told him "your sister need to come up to the front desk and show her driver's license and credit card & if I suspect any suspicious activity or behavior he would have us removed " THAT MADE MY BROTHER VERY UNCOMFORTABLE & HE FELT HE WAS JUST DISCRIMINATED AGAINST FOR NO REASON AT ALL . Not a bad place to stay, by any means. The only major problem was that when I made the reservation, I was told there was plenty of room to park my SUV without having to unhook the trailer I am towing. However, when I got there, that wasn't the case. The head housekeeper hooked us up with her spot, which was more than enough room for both, but that was by pure stroke of luck and timing. The rooms were clean, and the bathroom was nice - however, I wouldn't have put the sink in the bathroom, because it really cut down on the room in there (too much in my opinion). The Mexican restaurant next door is pretty good, and you get 10% off if you show your room key. All in all pretty nice, but the parking issue was kind of annoying. read more
